Birthday Sundaes Challenge #31

Good morning!

I'm here with another fun challenge for Birthday Sundaes!  This week the challenge is to create a tall (or long) birthday card.  Click {HERE} to enter your card and to check out the wonderful samples from our Design Team and Guest Designer!

We are being sponsored by:

The winner will get to pick 3 digital images of their choice from the Sweet 'n Sassy shop!
SNSS also provided the Design Team with images to use - thank you SNSS!

I used Fall Arrangement which I've had in my digi collection since sometime last year and this is the first time that I remember using it.  I am so pleased with how the image looks, I haven't been coloring much but taking my time really helped me get back on track. I was inspired by the tiny flowers on the image to use this patterned paper from an old DCWV fall stack.  The layout was inspired by a CPS sketch from a few weeks ago.

I am also entering my card into Challenge #11 - Fall Flowers/Pumpkins at Crafting for All Seasons.

Card Supplies~
Papertrey Ink cardstock - Plum Pudding, Summer Sunrise, Kraft
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps - Fall Arrangement digital image
sentiment from Hero Arts
Copics
DCWV patterned paper
Fiskars threading water border punch
leaves from stash
mini pop dots

It's All About the Brads for Birthday Sundaes #22

Birthday Sundaes has another fun challenge for you today!  One of my favorite embellishments to use since I started scrapping have been brads. So we'd like to see birthday cards with at least 3 brads on them ~ along with a birthday greeting/sentiment/wording.

I used some scraps from {Friday's card} to make my card for today~

I thought the dots on the present were fun to fill in with the brads :)

Please click {HERE} to enter your birthday card and check out the wonderful samples from our Guest Designer, Laurie, and the rest of the design team!

Have a great day!

Birthday Sundaes #17 - A Summery Color Challenge!

Good morning!! I hope you are enjoying your weekend, I am!

Today's Birthday Sundaes challenge is to create a birthday card using the colors orange, green & white! As always, a birthday sentiment/greeting is required on your card front. Click HERE to play along and check out all the awesome design team samples!

I'll admit I really stumped myself with this challenge and I'm the one that came up with it LOL! I was going to use popsicles but ended up using them on Friday's card. Thankfully inspiration kicked in and I was able to create a card that I love.

I started with Papertrey Ink Simply Chartreuse cardstock and embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder. Then I punched a bunch of different butterflies from scraps of American Crafts Everyday designer papers and some scraps of white cardstock.  I adhered them all with Diamond Glaze and added Basic Grey Bling it rhinestones and EK Success Halloween gems.  The sentiment is from an old Sweet 'N Sassy stamps set.

Watermelon Cocoa

It's summer and one of the many things that scream summer to me is watermelon.

So...I whipped up this simple card tonight to celebrate summer's arrival.

I was inspired by THIS sketch while creating my card.  I wanted to show off my some new purchases. I was in the neighborhood of my LSS last week so I stopped in and picked up some of Little Yellow Bicycle's Sweet Summertime paper and I also got the coordinating cardstock stickers.  The adorable image is digital Watermelon Cocoa from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps. I've had him printed out forever and he was perfect to use with this paper!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Supply List
Stamps: Watermelon Cocoa - Sweet 'N Sassy Digi Stamps
Paper: Georgia Pacific, Little Yellow Bicycle Sweet Summertime
Copics: R11, R20, R24, R27, R29, G20, YG63, YG67, T1, T3
Other: Marvy Giga Scalloped Circle Punch, Basic Grey Wander brads, Little Yellow Bicycle cardstock stickers

Write Soon Cocoa

This is a bit of a different card for me - color wise. I brought a bunch of newer 6x6 pads with me yesterday and one of them was Echo Park's For the Record. I thought it would be fun to use this text paper with Write Soon Cocoa from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps. I have tons of Cocoas printed out and was happy to finally get one on a card!

I used TECC48 for the layout and a Hero Arts sentiment.

I am entering this card into Crafty Creations #118 - Anything Goes.

Now I am off to create my layout for Day 15 while I'm watching the Red Sox/Yankees game. Go SOX!!!

My first easel cards!

Today I am finally getting a chance to show off my newest thing - easel cards!

I made this one a few weeks ago and I refuse to give it away LOL!! I really love how it turned out and it matches my room perfectly :)

I got this Northwoods stamp a few months ago and thought it would be perfect for the space I had to fill on the card front. I also finally got my flower soft to stick, I used Glossy Accents - it's a little shiny under the flower soft but I'm just thrilled it stuck. Seems like anything else I tried didn't work. The dp is BG Infuse.

My mom liked the card when I showed it to her, so I decided to make her one for Mother's Day. She loves lilacs so when I saw this cute digi from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps, I just had to get it! Cocoa was so much fun to color!

I used my BG Green at Heart, love this paper!! I had to get another stack of it even though I didn't finish the first one yet, that's how much I love it...this time I also got the matching ribbon doilies, can't wait to try those out!

I spotted a lot of challenges for easel cards this week, I'll have to get busy and make a few new ones!

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday!

Here is a quick card I made tonight for a friend's birthday. She loves sunflowers so I always make her a sunflower card :)

This pretty sunflower image is from Squigglefly, illustrated by the fabulous Lynn Stansbery. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I just {heart} her flower images!

Paper is Basic Grey Origins and the Happy Birthday is from the Sweet N Sassy Birthday Greetings set, one of my favorite go-to sets for birthdays! The sparkle is from copic spica pens in lemon and garnet, really love how much they shimmer!

That's all for tonight...come back tomorrow night for some Squigglefly sneak peeks! There's a big release on Saturday...and once the Squigglefly blog gets 300 followers, there will be a discount code of 30%! So why not follow today and while you're there check out this week's challenge! Also check out the SNR group, Holly has a great challenge going over there too!

Sentimental Sundays meets Sketchy Thursdays!

TGIF!!! It's been a very long week here, so happy the weekend has finally arrived and so has the nice weather! We actually had to use the heat a few times this week, thought we were done with that a few weeks ago!

Anyways, the reason you are here...I made this card last night for two challenges, a new one called Sentimental Sundays. Great challenge that reminds you to put a sentiment on your card front, I don't always do that and need to remember to, after all it's one of the reasons I'm always buying sentiment stamps LOL! Challenge #1 is call Blooming Gorgeous and needs to include a flower and sentiment. Both my image and sentiment are from the same Sweet 'N Sassy Digi set called Fluttering By, it's so pretty!

The layout is the new sketch from Sketchy Thursdays, perfect for the image I was using!

Card Supplies~
Stamps: Fluttering By ~ Sweet 'N Sassy Digi Stamps
Paper: Basic Grey Green at Heart
Copics: V04, V06, V09, Y15, RV13, YG25, B000, YR65, YR68
Other: EK Success scalloped scallop border punch, lemon & spica pens

That's all for now! I'll be back tonight with the end of the month round-up!
