Paper Makeup Stamps News and a sale

On Thursday, Katie made the sad announcement that Paper Makeup Stamps will no longer be carrying rubber stamps. Click {HERE} for the full announcement. This saddens me as I LOVE rubber stamps and PMS stamps are excellent quality and cute to boot! Moving forward, most images will still be available in digi form - hurray!

Right now on the Paper Makeup Stamps site, you can get 45% off of your rubber stamp order using the code CLOSEOUT45.  I just placed an order, I do believe I left some stamps for the rest of you.

Go shop!

Blogging Break

Just wanted to pop in and say that my blog will be very quiet over the next few weeks. I have taken some time off from Flutter By Wednesdays and PaperCutz Challenge.  I'll still be sharing a Paper Makeup Stamps creation once a week (I still have so many new November releases to ink up!)

I am hoping this much needed break will clear my mind and refresh my creativity.

Bday Sundaes #35 - Put a Tree on It!

Good morning!

This week's Birthday Sundaes Challenge is to include a tree on your birthday card, as well as the usual birthday wording/sentiment on your card front! Click {HERE} to enter your card and to check out what our Guest Designer, Rayna, and the rest of the DT created. They are so creative in their choice of trees!

Here is my card~

I used the Willow Tree from the Cottage Collection from Paper Makeup Stamps (p.s. it's on sale for $3.00 now!!). I've had it for quite some time and finally inked it up for the first time!  I've had the kraft and black combo in my head for awhile that I've wanted to try and love it. I used my Copic Multi liner pen to doodle some butterflies. :)  I really wanted to add some score lines so the background isn't so boring but I cannot for the life of me find my scoring tools although I have the scoring board LOL!  My room is like the black hole currently and really needs to be cleaned up big time...hopefully the week of Thanksgiving since I will be off from work!

Paper Makeup Stamps November Release - Review Day #2

TGIF!

It's time to review the latest stamps released from Paper Makeup Stamps! Did you see the Day 1 review yesterday? If not, click {HERE} to check it out.

I get to show off one of the new Color Kids, Snowflake, today. Isn't she a cutie? I think so :) She is available as a digi or rubber.  Here I used the rubber version.

It was interesting coloring on the kraft paper.  I had to remember to keep using the darker colors since they show up better.  I added some smooch to her snowflake and paper pieced her skirt with a scrap from my Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses dp that I also used on the rest of the card.

Check out the rest of the release reviews {HERE}!

I am entering Christmas Card Challenges #49, I used the sketch shown below.

Paper Makeup Stamps MakeOver Challenge

Good morning!

Did you attend the PMS Release Party in the forum last night? We had a great time chit chatting about some of the new fall shows, playing games and talking about and showing off PMS stamps!

The MakeOver Challenge for this release is to create a Thank You card, easy peasy! Use a Paper Makeup image/sentiment and you'll be entered for a chance to win more PMS rubber or digis. Click {HERE} to link up your entry!

Here is my sample for the challenge~

I used the Baby Jamie Fairy Silhouette and the Thankful Essentials sentiment set, both released in September. I hadn't had a chance to ink them up yet and I've had this card layout in my head for awhile. Glad to finally put it to ink and paper!  I think this would be a great card to mass produce and give to an expectant mom for her thank you card needs.  The only change I want to make is to create a flat bow for easier (and cheaper!) mailing.  Anybody have any tips/tutorials they'd like to share?

I am also entering my card in these fun challenges:
Pile It On #45 - Thanksgiving or Give Thanks
The Crazy Challenge #92 - Something with Wings
Dutch Dare Challenge #137 - Give Thanks
Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge - Be thankful and feature a sentiment

Supplies~
Paper Makeup Stamps Baby Jamie Fairy Silhouette & Thankful Essentials set
Papertrey Ink Lemon Tart & Stampers Select White cardstock

PMS Release Day Blog Hop!

Good morning! Welcome to my stop on the Paper Makeup Stamps Release Blog Hop!

You should have arrived here from Janette's blog where she showed off the adorable Pete Penguin. If not, please start at the beginning on the PMS blog {HERE}.

I get to show off the new Color It: Winter Tags set. I decided to use the snowman to create a holiday card.  I envisioned hills covered with snow and pulled out one of my favorite Basic Grey pads - Eskimo Kisses. I inked up the top half of the sentiment "Happy Holidays from Me to You" on the top of the card.

I popped up two of the snowmen and one of the layers for some dimension and then I added diamond glaze and some Martha Stewart snow.

Don't forget to join us for the release party in the PMS forum from 9pm-11pm EST where the stamps will be released and there will be fun chatter, games & prizes! Your next stop is the fabulous Katie who is using the awesome new Handmade set that I used in yesterday's post.

See you at the party!

Challenges Entered:
A Gem of a Challenge #33 - Cold & Frosty
BasicGrey #56 - Anything Goes
Bah! Humbug! #43 - Snowmen

MMS Trick or Treat Challenge

{Please scroll down for my PMS Sneak Peek and Birthday Sundaes posts, thanks!}

I was scrolling through my Google Reader and saw that I saved the MyMemories challenge for this week which is "Trick of Treat".  I purchased the Spooked Pack to use on pictures of Amber dressed up as a witch :)

This page took me way too long to complete LOL. I don't use the software as often as I should so it was a learning process especially trying to layer the papers.  I am happy with how it turned out though :)

Paper Makeup Stamps - Sneak Peek Day #3

{Please scroll down for my Birthday Sundaes post}

Good morning! Have you been enjoying the Paper Makeup Stamps sneak peeks? If you haven't seen any yet, click {HERE} for Day 1 for the single stamps being released and {HERE} for Day 2  to see the new Color It Winter Tag set. All the new stamps will be released tomorrow night during our release party from 9pm-11pm EST. You can join us in the forum for fun chatter, games and prizes!

Photobucket

Today I get to peek a new set called Hand Made and it includes both sentiments and images to include on all your handmade art.  I have to admit that I found this set challenging at first and then came up with multiple ideas but decided to go with my first - isn't it nice when what you see in your head turns out like you envisioned it? I love it when that happens!

I participate in card swaps on a few card groups that I belong to. I used the digi version of this set to create a set of cards that I can include with those cards so the person knows who sent them the swap and how to contact me if needed. I think they came out so cute!

I shrunk the scissors and made them into a top and bottom border and then I changed the color of the sentiment and rotated it on its side. The beauty of digi images is all the fun things you can do with them. This month's release will be available in both digi and rubber format. I used glue dots to attach the ribbon...I did want to staple it but I haven't used the stapler in so long that it's hiding somewhere! My room really needs a good cleaning LOL!

I hope you enjoyed my peek! Tomorrow we will be having a blog hop starting at 7 am EST and then our party tomorrow night. Be sure to join us for both!

I am also entering my project into these challenges:
2 Sisters #64 - Ribbon
Crafty Catz #107 - Anything Goes

Have a great day!

PCC #116 {Gobble, Gobble} - Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake

TGIF! Any plans for the weekend? As I always say, I hope to get some crafting time in!

It's time for another PaperCutz Challenge and guess what starting this week each challenge will run for 2 weeks now! This week's challenge is called "Gobble, Gobble" and we'd like to see you create a card, layout or project for Thanksgiving incorporating a favorite Thanksgiving dish.  Now if you know me, you know I do not cook LOL....so I saw this challenge and was like, eek what do I do??? Well last weekend I was flipping through some magazines and I found a recipe for Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake and earlier I had come across an adorable House Mouse image of the mousies eating pie and an idea sparked!

Here is what I came up with~

You can't tell in the picture but the image is cut out and popped up on the page.  I finished off the page with some buttons and twine from The Twinery. Click {HERE} to enter your creation and to see what the rest of the DT made. You have until November 17th to enter!

I am also entering the following challenges:

FBW #178 - Thankful/Gratitude

It's Wednesday, yay!

This week's Flutter By Wednesdays challenge is Thankful/Gratitude. Don't forget to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation (I almost did!!)  Click {HERE} to enter your creation and for more inspiration, please visit my fellow DT members, links on my sidebar!

My card is the one I started coloring last week when I realized it didn't fit the challenge, he he. I'm excited to finally share my little PI girl with you all! This is Calendula and she is the October flower of the month. I just ordered November's and can't wait to get it!

Here's a side view so you can see how I popped the flower up, this was done for a pop up swap that I am in a card group I belong to.  The paper is Crate Paper Farmhouse - a line I am in love with, just as much as I love their Random line LOL!  Everything except the rhinestones are from the TE October Key Ingredients kit.

I used this week's Critter Sketch Challenge sketch, perfect layout for my little girl!

Thanks for fluttering by today!
