Flutter By Wednesdays #203

Happy Wednesday...halfway to a long weekend. Woohoo!

The challenge at Flutter By Wednesdays today is to create a card with a butterfly or fairy and decorate the inside of your card. Fun!!  I always love seeing the decorated insides of cards but rarely take the time to do it myself so this was a great challenge for me :)

I decided to make a Gate Fold card using THESE instructions on Splitcoast Stampers.

And here is the inside~

Be sure to join us HERE and check out the rest of the DT cards too.  Links on my left sidebar.

Supplies~
Stamps:  butterflies (Hampton Arts), smile from a Verve set, inside butterfly (Savvy Stamps), inside sentiment from My Pink Stamper
Paper: cardstock from PTI, patterned paper is from Authentique Carefree
Inks: Mocha Mama (Quick Quotes Powder Puff Chalk Inks), Antique Linen (Tim Holtz distress inks)
Other: die-namic from MFT (not sure of the name of it, sorry!)

SNC - CCC Day 24

Hi crafty peeps!

Here is Day 24's Christmas card - "Anything Goes" was our prompt.

I still had my Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper pad on my desk so I went in my scrap closet and found the coordinating Woolies.  A quick and super CUTE card was then put together :)

I used a Stampin' Up punch for the sentiment which is by Hero Arts and I randomly stamped snowflakes with a stamp from the same Hero Arts set.

Merry Bingo

TGIF!

Any plans for the weekend? I'm hoping to take advantage of some tax free clothing shopping and spend some time cleaning my craftroom.  The daily card challenge is taking its toll LOL!  I cleared off the desk on Sunday night and now it looks worse than it did before I cleaned it that day!

Today I'm sharing a Daydream Designs card. It was created for the daily Christmas card challenge on Monday. The prompt was to use "25" on our card.  I had the great idea to use a bingo card from the Christmas Bingo color set.

To make the "25" stand out, I decorated with a circle of yellow pearls and then filled in the rest of the 'bingo' line with some rhinestones.  The paper is more of my Authentique Festive...I will be so sad when I finish this pad up!  I finished off the card with a crinkle ribbon bow.

SNC - CC Day 23

Yes, I'm still in the challenge! Just a week left!

I still have several cards to share but I'm not sure where I left off.  Hope to catch up on posting over the weekend :)

Today's prompt is to make a shaped card - let me tell ya that had me sweating!  I have a Cricut and a Gypsy  but there are several features that I don't use often enough so I forget what the little icons mean.  Once I found a shape that I wanted to cut, then it was time to read the manual.

The welding didn't quite match up but not too bad for my first attempt at making a shaped card.   The reindeer was cut at about 5 inches from the Doodlecharms cartridge and the tag was cut at about 1.5 inches from the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge.  I stamped a sentiment from a Scrappy Moms stamp set on the tag and tied it on with some crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot.   Added in brads for his eyes and he was declared ready to be photographed.

I'm sharing my card with these challenges:
My Time to Craft #185 - Christmas in August
Moving Along with the Times - Shape Up - Anything but Square
Divas by Design - #49 Anything Goes

Sweet Warm Ups

Good morning!

Today I'm sharing my Day 18 card for the Scrappin'-n-Chattin' 30 day Christmas card challenge. The prompt for that day was "sweets" - a yummy prompt for sure!

I created this card using an image from the Sweet Warm Ups set and the sentiment is from the Sweet Christmas Wishes set, both available at Daydream Designs!

I used this week's sketch from The Sweet Stop. This week was a sketch with a spin - use die cuts or punches. I used my EK Success Scallop border punch and a Spellbinders Ribbon Tag die cut. The "topping" was made using White Opal Liquid Pearls - my first time using them. Love how it looks :)  The paper is from the MME Be Merry 6x6 paper pad.

Here is the sketch~

My debut card for Daydream Designs!

Good morning!

Today is the big day! Diane is introducing the new team for Daydream Designs on her blog, which you can find HERE! The big reveal will be up at Noon (CST).

Here is the card I created to debut on my blog today! I had so much fun creating a little scene using two sets from the shop. I printed the penguin, trees and star from the Little Bits of Christmas set and then colored them with my copics. After that I fussy cut each image and placed them on 'mountains of snow' which was made with a Sizzix embossing folder.

Look at all the images that comes in this set!  So many great images to mix and match for all of your Christmas needs!

I used a sentiment from Christmas in the Heart sentiments. I love how Diane's sets work so well together!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to check out the Daydream Designs shop and Diane's blog to learn more about the fabulous team she has assembled!

Our Little Diva {a layout}

Good morning!

Just popping in to share my Week 33 Scrappin' n Chattin' layout.  I created it at the crop on Saturday, along with several other pages that have yet to be photographed.

I used an old Sketch Savvy sketch and papers from the Fancy Pants Love Story collection. Some flowers, Thickers and rhinestones from my stash finished off the page.

Here is the sketch~

Have a great day!

Flutter By Wednesdays Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Grand Re-Opening Hop for Flutter By Wednesdays!  I'm so happy to have a reason to flutter on Wednesdays again and hope you will all join in our challenge fun!

You should have fluttered here from Kathy's blog and if you just happened to stop by (hi!), please join us for the hop starting at the Flutter By Wednesdays blog. If for any reason you get lost along the way, the full list of hoppers is on the blog as well.

Our challenge this week is OPEN, just include a butterfly or fairy on your project! You can enter your project HERE!

Here is my card for this week~

I debated for days on what to make LOL.  I couldn't decide on an image to color so when I was using my Cricut on another card, I thought it would be fun to use a die cut butterfly this week.  This butterfly was cut at approximately 3 inches from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge.  The bright happy papers are from the Be You 6x6 pad by Fancy Pants.  I outlined the cutouts on the butterfly to help it stand out a bit more and popped the whole thing up with pop dots.  The sentiment is from a My Pink Stamper set.

Your next stop on the hop is Michelle VP!

Thanks for fluttering by today and I hope you will join this week's challenge!

SnC - CCC Day 14 and a new challenge blog!

Hello again - this is my last post for tonight!

Today's prompt for the Christmas card challenge is Santa!  Since I didn't want to cut the same Santa as yesterday's card, I looked through my cartridges and found a Santa on Joys of the Season.  Santa was a bit on the big side so I put together a simple card that really showcases him.

I used Authentique Festive papers and added a little Trendy Twine bow to finish off the card.

Did you hear about the new die cut challenge blog, Cut It Up?  You can check it out HERE.  They are giving away a really cool prize if you help them promote their new blog.  There's also a DT call going on now too!  You can check out all the info HERE and they also have a facebook page HERE.

Thanks for visiting!

Exciting Announcement!

My friend, Diane, has opened up a digital stamp store called Daydream Designs. She's celebrating the opening on her blog with lots of information regarding her store and freebies!  Check out her blog HERE and her store HERE! Daydream Designs also has a facebook page which you can check out HERE

Diane has put together a wonderful group of women for her store design team and she asked ME to join!  I happily accepted and will have my first card to share on Monday, August 20th!  Diane will be introducing the whole team on her blog that day. If you'd like a peek at the team now, they are listed on my left sidebar and also on Diane's blog.

Thank you for sharing in my excitement :)

SnC CCC ~ Day 13

Hi!

Yesterday's prompt for the Christmas card challenge was paper piecing...so I took a big step and dusted off my Cricut to tackle the challenge!

I cut this cute Santa from the Doodlecharms cartridge at approx. 3 inches tall.  I "dressed" him up a bit using my D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder on his beard and I added some fun flock to his hat.

I just love how this turned out!

I used the current sketch challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy for my card layout~

SNC - CCC Day 12

This is my third post for today, please scroll down if you would like to see more Christmas cards :-)

Here is today's Christmas card!  Our prompt was polka dots so I used some fun paper from My Mind's Eye called Be Merry. Aren't the trees with the lil polka dots just so adorable? I think so!

The penguin, speech bubble and sentiment are from the Hero Arts Jolly Christmas stamp set. The card layout was done using this week's Unscripted Sketches #171 sketch.

SNC - Day 10

SNC - CCC Day 11

Hello!

I know I haven't blogged the last few days of cards, here is one of them which I created at a crop last night for yesterday's prompt of embossing.  I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #253 for the card layout.

I used a kit that I bought last year at Taylored Expressions, I'm pretty sure the paper is The Girls Paperie, not sure of the exact name of the collection. The papers in the kit are so pretty! Looking forward to making many more cards with them.  The embossing was done with a Sizzix folder and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Here is the sketch~

SnC CCC - Days 8 and 9

Hello!

I made yesterday's card so late that I forgot to do a blog post, I'll share that one below.

First up is today's card!  The prompt was "bling".  Love bling!!

I knew I wanted to use these flowers...finding them was another task altogether but at least they were located!  I used an MFT die for the scalloped circle and a Hero arts sentiment.  I am submitting this card to Christmas Card Challenges - #36 Use something new.  I used my new Authentique Festive paper :)

The card layout is from SCS.

And here is yesterday's card. The prompt was Anything Goes so I made a quick card using Basic Grey Jovial papers and chipboard along with a Hero Arts sentiment.

Snc - CCC Day 5

Here is my Day 5 card for the Christmas card challenge!  Our prompt for today was gifts.

I cut the presents from Basic Grey Jovial 12x12 paper and then used a 6x6 pad to build the rest of my card. The light panel was punched using my Fiskars Threading Water punch and the strip above it is a BG ribbon doily.  I added stickles to the gifts to made them stand out more, love how they look!  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts Christmas stamp set.

SnC CCC - Day 4

Quick post for tonight!

This is my Day 4 Christmas challenge card. Our prompt for today was to use an ornament and a border punch.  I really wanted to make a shaped card with the Cricut but I was short on time.

I used my Ornamental Christmas stamp set from Verve Stamps and a SU! border punch for the card requirements.  The paper is some of my favorite ever - Basic Grey Jovial.

SnC CCC - Day 3

TGIF!

Here is my Day 3 card.  I read through days worth of challenges before I started creating and was inspired by several challenges in making my card tonight.

Finally I tore the paper and inked it for 4 Crafty Chick's Distressing challenge.

Paper: Be Merry (My Mind's Eye)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Creamy Brown (Colorbox Chalk Ink)

Adore {a layout}

Happy August!

Sorry my blog has been so quiet. I was sick...again. Ugh!  I think I'm almost over it though. Hopefully this will be the end of my allergies/sinus issues for awhile!!

Tonight I'm sharing a layout that I made on Friday night for my 52 week challenge (yes, I'm still in it!!) and for the Frosted Designs One Word Title challenge.

I created this page using a Page Maps sketch from February.  The picture is of my nieces at my wedding and the one word title challenge was a great push for me to scrap this adorable picture :)

Here is a close up of the picture of the banner I created. The base is lace and I attached it with some brads from my stash and I accented it with gems and the banner pieces were cut from the MFT Fishtail Banner die-namics.

I got a new camera yesterday so I took these pictures with it. I am in love. It's a Panasonic Lumix and has a lot more power/features than my old Lumix did.

I hope to be blogging a lot more this month! I still have a lot of layouts & cards from last month that I haven't shared yet and hope to get in my craft room this weekend to make some new stuff. I've been glued to the TV since Friday night (as I'm sure lots of people are!) Love watching the Olympic games!

Supplies~
Paper: Basic Grey Cappela
Other: BG Cappela bloomers, BG border sticker, Thickers, Marvy Scallop Circle punch, MFT Fishtail Banner Die-namics, lace, brads and gems (all from my stash)
