Fluttering by to say hi {FBW DT Post}

This week's Flutter By Wednesdays challenge is a fun color challenge! Since Halloween is just a few days away, Danni challenged us to use black, purple, orange and green on our creations. Don't forget to add a butterfly, fairy or angel!  Click {HERE} to enter your creation!

My card is a quick one since I had a bit of a mishap...I spent lots of time coloring an image only to realize that it didn't fit this week's challenge LOL!  So you'll see that for next week's FBW!

When I saw this fun sketch from Karen on Sunday, I thought it would be perfect to use with one of my Martha Stewart punches.

I pulled out my TE Project Pantry kit from last Halloween and punched a bunch of butterflies from scraps.  The cardstock and ribbon are also from the kit.  I inked up my My Pink Stamper Buggy Punnies for the sentiment and added some Kaiser pearls to the butterflies.

For more colorful inspiration, check out the rest of the DT! Links are on my sidebar!

Happy Fall Y'all!

I made a few fall cards at the crop a few weeks ago and am just remembering to share them now!

I used Papertrey's 2009 Autumn Tags (for the first time!!) and my Taylored Expressions October 2010 kit which featured paper from Imaginisce Apple Cider collection. I still have more paper & embellies left for more cards too. Love these kits. I haven't used them all up yet and I ended up resubscribing this month. It's hard to resist having good papers & embellies matched up for you each month!

Using an MFT sketch -  MFTWSC39

Using a Verve sketch - VLVOct2011 Week #1

This one is my fave!! Using a Sweet Sunday Sketch - SSSC136

TFL!  I plan to go in my craftroom tonight - hopefully I will be able to get something made!

PCC #114 - "In the Pink"

The weekend is over and this is all I have to show for my crafty efforts! I have not been feeling very creative at all and today was the first day I stepped foot in my room since last Monday. I did spend some time cleaning in there earlier today so now I can at least walk in without making piles fall over LOL!

This is my DT card for Friday's PaperCutz Challenge "In the Pink".  We were challenged to create a card, layout or project for Breast Cancer Awareness using pink and any other colors we'd like. Click {HERE} to enter your creation and to check out what the rest of the DT created!

Last weekend I came across some special digis that MelJen's Designs released and had to buy the Pink Ribbon Teddy for my card.

I used this week's Cards & Things sketch and scaled it down for an A2 card for easier mailing.

Supply List:
Stamps: Pink Ribbon Teddy by MelJen's Designs,
Cardstock: DCWV, Papertrey Ink Stampers Select White
Designer Paper: Basic Grey Sweet Threads
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Copics: E25, E27, E29, RV32, RV34
Other: ribbons, flowers, brads, gems - all from my stash

Trick or Sweet for TE's Blast from the Past hop!

Welcome!

If you are here from Cindy's blog, you are on the right track! If you are just here visiting (Hi!!), please start the hop at Taylor's blog! This is my stop on the hop for the Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past hop.

This month's theme is Trick or Sweet and we were to make some Halloween related or something sweet :)

I pulled out my Trick or Sweet stamp set and last year's Halloween Project Pantry kit. I used a TE sketch from a few weeks ago (I've shared it below) Everything is from the kit except the gems and what's a Halloween card without using the Martha Stewart drippy goo border punch :)

I finished off the inside with another sentiment from the kit and 2 more cuppies.

This is the sketch that I used - definitely a fun one!

Your next stop on the hop is LESA!

Skating by to say Hi for FBW #176

It's time to flutter!

This week's Flutter By Wednesdays Challenge is open, just remember to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation. You can enter {HERE} and also we have a guest designer this week! Her name is Amanda and you can see her creation on the FBW blog and say hello to her at her blog {HERE}. You can see the rest of the FBW team's samples by visiting the links on my sidebar.

I am so in love with my card this week!  I've made lots of cards with no coloring lately and it was like getting back on a bicycle with my copics LOL!

This cutie pie is Roll With It from the MFT Pure Innocence line. She was so happy to finally see ink and I even gave her a sidewalk! I used the current Sketches by Carly which I've posted below. One of the baskets I filled with paper is one collection from each company that I have paper from...in hopes that I can try to use some of it up! This paper is from the American Crafts City Park line. I thought it was perfect for this image!

Since I want to use paper up, I decorated the inside of the card too :)

Here is Carly's sketch. As you can see, I flipped it. I love all the layers!

Thanks for fluttering by! I'll be back later this morning with my Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past hop card!

Life is a Daring Adventure...

Just a quick share from me this morning!

I made this at the crop a few Saturdays ago.  It was supposed to be for the MTME Pretty Patterns challenge but I missed the deadline since I didn't unpack for a week. LOL

I love how it came out. I think the inked edges really make each layer pop!
I used my last scrap of pleated black ribbon that I bought at the crop I went to in September. This time I bought some white, cream, silver and brown to use.  They were out of black, bummer!

The quote is from Paper Makeup Stamps, I used the large version for this card. There is also a small version and you can get it as a digi!

The paper is MME Vanity Fair which you can find at SCACD, my fave place to buy papers! I popped the quote off the layer underneath to give it a little dimension. Pearls are from my stash and the border was punched with an EK Success border punch.

Here is the sketch! I think it's one I will use again :)

TFL! Have a great day!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #31

Good morning!

I'm here with another fun challenge for Birthday Sundaes!  This week the challenge is to create a tall (or long) birthday card.  Click {HERE} to enter your card and to check out the wonderful samples from our Design Team and Guest Designer!

We are being sponsored by:

The winner will get to pick 3 digital images of their choice from the Sweet 'n Sassy shop!
SNSS also provided the Design Team with images to use - thank you SNSS!

I used Fall Arrangement which I've had in my digi collection since sometime last year and this is the first time that I remember using it.  I am so pleased with how the image looks, I haven't been coloring much but taking my time really helped me get back on track. I was inspired by the tiny flowers on the image to use this patterned paper from an old DCWV fall stack.  The layout was inspired by a CPS sketch from a few weeks ago.

I am also entering my card into Challenge #11 - Fall Flowers/Pumpkins at Crafting for All Seasons.

Card Supplies~
Papertrey Ink cardstock - Plum Pudding, Summer Sunrise, Kraft
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps - Fall Arrangement digital image
sentiment from Hero Arts
Copics
DCWV patterned paper
Fiskars threading water border punch
leaves from stash
mini pop dots

Merry Merry Christmas

It's Saturday evening and I finally have something to show for my afternoon in the scraproom! I spent a lot of time organizing my 6x6 pads...oh my, there are many!!!  Hopefully it will be easier for  me to access them and find what I want a little quicker now.  I've sorted them by company and then alphabetized them by collection name. I also separated the fall, Halloween & Christmas pads since I need those now.

This card is for 3 challenges and here you would think I would have used some patterned papers - not one bit LOL!

Christmas Card Challenges has this beautiful inspiration picture for their challenge~

I used the new FTL sketch #162~

and Cute Card Thursday wants to see Trees/Leaves for their challenge.

Card Supplies~
Hero Arts Merriest Wishes set
Papertrey Ink Stampers Select White cardstock
Papertrey Ink Gold Shimmer cardstock
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder
Memento Bamboo Leaves ink
bling from Michaels
mini pop dots
ribbon from Michaels

Scrapbook Saturday is back!

I finally have something to share on Scrapbook Saturday!

Last Saturday I spent the day at the Papercraft Clubhouse and crafted the day away with some good friends.

I decided to share all 4 pages at once since they are for the same album. I did use sketches for all of them but I was a slacker and didn't write them down lol.

I attended my first scrapbook retreat in San Antonio, TX in 2006 and these are just some of the photos that I and the rest of the girls took!

 {I think this one is my fave!}

Stars, Circle and Diamonds, Oh My!

TGIF! Any big plans for the weekend?  I hope to get some crafting & cleaning in my craft room done. I moved my desk last weekend and it makes a huge difference since I'm closer to the lighting but now I have a big mess to clean up LOL! Well several since every time I make a change, I've never finished cleaning it up! I'd rather spend my time crafting!

This week's PaperCutz Challenge is to make a card, layout or project for Halloween and to use circles, stars or diamonds.  Click {HERE} to enter your creation and check out the great DT samples!

Right away I knew what paper I wanted to use, I've had this Cosmo Cricket Matilda paper since it came out and haven't touched it. I also incorporated the House Mouse color challenge of orange, yellow, black and green after seeing my bloggy friend Vicki's card on Monday. It's been ages since I've played with my mousies! The mousie is from my stash of HM images and the sentiment is from the Happy Haunting set by My Craft Spot. The ribbon is from Walmart.

For the layout of the card I played along with My Time Made Easy Pretty Patterns #31 which is to choose a sketch from challenges #13-18.  I chose #17, pictured below.

This card will also be entered into these challenges:
Going Grey with Scrap Creations: Halloween
Everybody Art #163: Halloween
Clear It Out Tuesday: Halloween + Old Supplies

Use your scraps for FBW #175!

Happy Wednesday!

This week's Flutter By Wednesday challenge is to use your scraps along with a butterfly, fairy or angel.  We also have a wonderful guest designer, Barbara! Check out the FBW blog to see what she created and to enter your own creation.  You can check out the rest of the DT using the links of my left sidebar.

My card is one from the crop I attended over the weekend. I had to use my favorite paper pad - Random from Crate Paper. I've been using it lots so I had plenty of scraps to choose from LOL. I really think I'll need to buy another one when this pad is done. LOVE it!!

I used a Mojo Monday sketch from a few weeks ago, I thought one of the four squares was perfect to add a quote. This one is from Paper Makeup Stamps and it's from the Purpose of Friendship quote set, you can also get this individual quote as a digi.  I inked all the edges with my fave chalk ink - Colorbox Chestnut Roan.  The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch. I can save all my itty bitty scraps to punch oodles of them!

TFL!  I'll be back in the next few days with lots more cards to show you. I made 6 in all last Saturday but didn't unpack them until this morning.

Shake, Rattle & Roll with PaperCutz!

I am *finally* here with Friday's PaperCutz Challenge. This week Mary would like to see us all "Shake, Rattle & Roll" - make a card, layout or project for Halloween using a Cricut cut, hand stamped or digital stamped image of a skeleton or skull & crossbones BUT you must make it CUTE and not spooky!

I found a cute skull head on the Cricut Rock Princess cartridge and had to use it :)

I cut the skull with Papertrey Ink shimmer paper, it's so sparkly in real life. You can only see some sparkle in the picture.  The card layout is my own, I used up some of my fave Basic Grey Eerie paper scraps.  Instead of cutting the bow that went with the skull, I tied one on using My Craft Spot crinkle ribbon. She's stylin' now!
