Storage Question: Metal Dies

Thank you to the ladies that emailed and commented regarding my selling post the other day. I really appreciate all the great advice that I received.  Once I go through everything and decide what I am selling, I'll figure out which of the options will work out for me. My LSS also just sent out a notice about their tag sale so I could just put everything there too and get store credit for some new stuff - yay!

In my never ending quest for organization, I am putting out a new question~

How do you store your metal dies? 

I left most of mine in their original packaging which is a hassle for my Spellbinders since the most often used dies often fall out since the package doesn't stay shut anymore.  I have dies from My Favorite Things, Papertrey Ink and Taylored Expressions sorted into small drawer organizers...but they are still a mess. Just a big pile of dies.

I'd like to find an easier way to store them - and possibly make it portable for crops. Right now I have a bunch thrown in a ziploc bag for next weekend's crop. Not exactly ideal but when I started packing, it was the first thing I could grab.

Also do you label them somehow?  I like to try and link them up on my blog when they are used but half the time I cannot remember what the name is and I spend more time scrolling through store websites than really needed. 

Any ideas/helpful tips would be great!

I've got a few questions...

Knock, knock...is anyone home?

I have not been the best blogger lately.  Lots of other things have my attention lately...hopefully I'll be back to posting crafty stuff someday soon.  I did do my weekly layout last week so I am still dabbling in my craftroom, just not as much as I want to be.  I am going to a weekend crop at the LSS for National Scrapbook Day, it's a little less than 2 weeks away and I am SO excited. I need a break and this will be a fun one!  I'm almost all packed too - I think the only thing left to pack is the kitchen sink LOL!

Now for the questions~ 

I need to pare down some of my stamps that I don't use.  I have thought about it many times but I am finally ready to start parting with some of them. 

If you sell crafty items, where do you sell them?
- on your blog
- Splitcoast Stampers
- Etsy
- Ebay
- somewhere else

How do you know what to price them?
- Take a percentage off the retail price (if you know what it is)
- Base price on retired/exclusiveness of stamps
- A random number

Then there's the whole shipping ordeal - I have heard of people getting ripped off if they don't spend the extra for insurance/confirmation of delivery.  So then I wonder if it's even worse the hassle of trying to sell stuff?  Any selling advice for me? I do need to make some room - not really for new items, more so that I can just move in my room LOL!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Here is a page I created yesterday.  I had lots of fun making it and even had some help from my hubby choosing the papers. October Afternoon has a fabulous collection called Sasparilla and the patterns are all so neat and I couldn't decide which ones to use!  Everything except the thickers that spell big are from the OA collection.  Abby chose the collection and the sketch for last week's SNC 24 Hour challenge but I ran out of time to get it done then and have been itching to make this page. 

The picture is of the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at WDW.  I took this cool action shot from across the river while we were on Tom Sawyer's Island.  I have many other pictures of the railroad so eventually I will do a 2nd page.

Over a month ago, I spent an afternoon coloring and I still had two images on my desk just waiting to be put on cards. Here is one of them~

I looked through all my saved challenges for this week and thought the Deconstructed Sketch would be fun to use :)  and I also incorporated Flutter By Wednesdays #197 which is an open challenge this week, all that's needed is a butterfly, angel or fairy on your creation.

Not a Fan of the Antlers!

I found a sketch on Jana Eubank's blog last week that I just couldn't wait to use on these fun pics of our dog from Christmas 2010.  This was my entry for Week 14 of the SNC 52 Week Challenge. I'm finding it harder to decide what to scrap each week but after cleaning my room for a few hours yesterday, I think it will get easier!
