Come on over friend!

The weekend is just about over....yuck!  Yesterday was a fun day. Went to the mall with one of my very best friends and we had lots of fun and laughs :)  Today was cleaning (ick), laundry (double ick) and reading (yay!). I finished 3 books that I have been reading for the past few weeks and one a few months.  I'm up to 37 books read this year!

Tonight I'm sharing another card that I made last week during my crafty session with friends.  I used the FTL198 sketch which is shown below my card.  I used the July Simon Says Stamp card kit and my On the Couch stamp set and dies from Papertrey Ink.  I popped up the pillow on the couch for some dimension.

TFL!

Supplies~
Stamps: On My Couch (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: Paper Cottage (Basic Grey)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Other: couch die (Papertrey Ink), butterfly punch (Martha Stewart), pearls (Kaisercraft), ticket corner punch (SU!), pop dots

Feel Better Soon

Ok...here is my 2nd try at linking up for the JUGS Challenge #144 lol...

It didn't dawn on me until I looked at the post today that I linked up the wrong card!  That will teach me to preview my darn posts before publishing :)

Here is my card~

I used the Simon Says Stamp July card kit along with stamps from Papertrey Ink. The table, coffee cups and sentiment are from the On My Couch set. I cut the frame from one of the patterned papers in the kit and I stamped a butterfly from the Butterfly Dreams set.  The bird cage was cut from the patterned paper as well.

Here is the sketch ~

Warm Thoughts ~ I Spy Sketches Challenge

Edited to add:  I am a complete dork lol...linked up this card to the wrong sketch challenge.  I have now corrected the post.  I evidently should not blog when I am tired!

Hello again!

Here's another card I made last weekend, this one is for I Spy Sketches #23. I used the July card kit from Simon Says Stamp, the sentiment is from the stamp set included with the kit.  To add some dimension to the card, I curled up the edges of the shaped panel and then I popped up the sentiment strip.

Here is the sketch~

TFL!  I'll be back tomorrow night with another card!

Supplies~
Stamps: Absolutely Delightful stamp set (Simon Says Stamp)
Paper: Paper Cottage (Basic Grey)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Other: butterfly punch (Martha Stewart), die-namics from MFT, pearls (Kaisercraft), pop dots

Words of Wisdom

Hi crafty friends!

We are halfway through the week!  Woohoo!  No baseball on tonight so I have some extra time to blog the cards I made over the weekend.

This is the card I created for the Sweet Stop Sketch #166.  I had lots of fun playing with my scraps making the double ended flags!  I also tried something new with a "homemade" light box set up - it's not perfected but it's a bit better than my hallway was.  One of these days I'll splurge on a nice box! The papers are all Basic Grey Paper Cottage from the Simon Says Stamp July kit.

Here's the side view so you can see how I popped up the quote panel and added the butterfly to that.

And here is the sketch~

Butterfly Birgitta

I almost forgot to post this card!  I made it on Wednesday and then life got busy and I saw it as I was downloading the rest of my new card pictures.

This is digi Butterfly Birgitta from CC Designs. Isn't she adorable? I had her colored up for awhile and when I saw the Anything Goes challenge at All That Scraps and the cool sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, it was a perfect time to make a card to put her on.

and here is the sketch~ loved all the layers! I had so much fun making this card!

Basic Grey Mini Flag card

I spent an enjoyable day yesterday with my local scrappy girlfriends. Made 8 cards!  That's a ton for me considering how I don't do a whole lot of crafting these days. Paying the price today for all that crafting with my arthritis but it is what it is...

This is one of the last cards I made but I have to get it posted first since it's for the Basic Grey card sketch challenge that ends in just a few hours!  I used the July kit from Simon Says Stamp along with the Basic Grey   Picnic stamp set. The paper is BG Paper Cottage and it was available to us subscribers in the kit before it's even in stores. Too cool!!  I made 8 cards with it and I still have enough to make a few more cards.

Here is my card~

and here is the sketch~

Now I need to figure out when the rest of the challenges end so I can post the other cards!
