To Sew or Not to Sew?

Today's Lasting Memories Challenge is sewing!

I do not sew...that's one crafty talent that I do not possess, lucky for me real or faux sewing/stitching goes. I searched through my stash and came upon some DCWV stitching rub-ons. Score!

So here is my challenge layout~

Very clean and simple...the picture is another from Magic Wings. Paper is from the My Mind's Eye Bohemia collection. Title is made from Thickers.

Witchy Fairy!

I created this card last night for Flutter By Wednesday #128 (purple, orange, black with a butterfly, fairy or angel) & Mercy's Tuesday Sketch #97. I just love how it came out!!

At first Witchy Fairy (from Paper Makeup Stamps) was just on a white background but she looked so blah, so I found a piece of sponge and added some SU Apricot Appeal to the background, I think it really helps Witchy pop! I was going to chalk the background at first but I have no clue where the chalks are, must be in one of the boxes that I still need to unpack LOL! All supplies on the card (with the exception of the images/ink) are from the Taylored Expressions Project Pantry kit that I got last month. I still have plenty left to make more cards next year!

Here is the sketch~my version is a little different since my image panel was much larger than I gave it space for LOL.

Thanks for looking!!

Paper Cutz Challenge #65

The adorable ribbon bear is a freebie that I downloaded from Bugaboo Stamps earlier this week. I painted the ribbon with Tutu Pink paint from Creative Inspirations, IRL it sparkles so nicely but my camera didn't pick that up.

I used this week's Techno Stamper sketch~

PTT #18

Happy Tuesday!

I finally have a PTT card to share with you all!

This week's challenge is a color challenge, when I was coming up with challenges I thought it would be fun to name some of them after cakes so this one is called "Carrot Cake Challenge" and the colors that should be used are orange, brown and white/ivory and don't forget the birthday wording on the front of your card!

I created this card for my FIL's birthday on Sunday. The paper is from the SEI Moonrise collection, the leaf was cut from the Stretch Your Imagination cricut cartridge and the sentiment is from the Paper Makeup Stamps Birthday Cheer set.

I used an FTL layout from last week~

Here is another card I made on Saturday ~ it is for a Fall Colors swap.

I mixed old and new on this card. I finally opened up a Hero Arts stamp set that I bought 2 years ago, a border punch I bought a year ago and the new is the paper (Imaginisce Apple Cider collection) from this month's Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit. It's hard to see but I embossed the background with my cuttlebug pumpkins folder.

Daring Cardmakers - Autumn Leaves

Stamps: Happy Thanksgiving ~ Hero Arts
Paper: Imaginisce Apple Cider Collection, Prism cardstock, image stamped on Georgia Pacific

I'm back (and have a card to share!)

I'm not quite 100% yet but I'm back! Still coughing up a storm but otherwise am feeling okay finally.

This is the first of 10 cards that I made yesterday at the crop and it's for this week's Paper Cutz Challenge! Create a LO, card or project for Halloween using stars, circles, diamonds or crescents. I've got some circle gems and I used my EK Success star border punch.

While I was at the crop, I did shop LOL! Tim Holtz has some super neat embossing folders out and I got a Halloween set and a Christmas set. The one used above is called Halloween Words, thought it was so cool! The paper (Echo Park Paper Company) and cardstock are from the Taylored Expressions Halloween project pantry kit and the image is from the TE Trick or Sweet set, I was able to make 6 cards altogether using the images from the set. I'll be showing them all week!

I used this sketch from Taylored Expressions~

MIA

Just a quick note to let my readers know that I'll be MIA from designing & blogging this week.

I went back to the doctor's today and have a bunch of new meds to start and need to rest so I can get better.

I should have some layouts to share next week from the crop that I'm going to on Saturday (which I'll probably finish packing for on Friday night LOL!)

Check out Party Time Tuesdays tomorrow for an all new challenge!

Lasting Memories Challenge #11

Good morning!

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I started on prednisone (steroids) yesterday, so hopefully this cough will be gone soon! Yesterday my DH and I spent the day shopping - new clothes for both of us and some frames & art for our dining room. It was a lovely day :)

Today's Lasting Memories Challenge is to MAKE handmade flowers and use them on your layout. I did not follow the directions, oops - we can blame that on being sick all this time right? LOL

The flowers are my page are from THIS Etsy shop - so cute!! Not too easy to stick though - any suggestions? I've got glue dots on the leaves and pop dots on the flowers but they are all ready to fall off :/

The paper is from the Basic Grey Perhaps line and the pictures are more for my Magic Wings album...4 years later and I'm still working on it LOL

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday Challenge

Happy Weekend!

Any big plans for the weekend? I am hoping to pack for an all day crop that I am going to next Saturday. I am going to start on my wedding album! I already have all the supplies, now I just need the time to make page kits so I don't have to haul everything with me lol.

Today's SSDS challenge is a sketch one, sorry for the tiny picture!

And my take~
Yes more Pyrus! I love this line!! The big leaf flourish is from the Pops stickers, underneath the panel is a ribbon doily...what a pain to get all the holes poked out lol. The sentiment (from the Amy R Autumn sentiments set) was punched out with the SU designer label punch. Bling is from the $1.00 bins at Michaels.

To play along, please enter your sketch creation HERE and check out what the rest of the Design Team made.

Have a great day!

I can't believe it's been a week since I posted...well yes I can, last night was the first night that I went into my craft room since Saturday's card. Feeling a little better but I'm still coughing a lot. Anywho, you're not here to listen to me complain...it's time for another Paper Cutz Challenge!

This week's challenge is ANYTHING GOES! Make any card, layout or craft project!

I still had all of the Basic Grey Pyrus stuff out from the last card. This card was super quick. Both flowers are from the Pops stickers and the sentiment is from the Amy R Autumn Sentiment set.

Sentimental Sundays #23

sssshhhh...I'm not really here, I'm resting like I'm supposed to be!

When I saw THIS card by Danni earlier this week, I knew I had to get this digi and use it for this week's Sentimental Sundays challenge which is Autumn or Fall. I saw Ann's card the other day and was inspired to use my new Basic Grey Pyrus paper. I'm a Basic Grey junkie lol and bought quite a few things from the Pyrus collection. I used some of the ribbon doilies and Pops on this card. The sentiment is from the Amy R Autumn Sentiments set.

Okay, now I'm really going back to bed. Luckily I can take my laptop with me and watch this week's General Hospital episodes!

Paper Cutz Challenge #62

I am a day late with this post, so sorry...still sick and under orders to rest, rest, rest.

This week's Paper Cutz Challenge is to use red, white & black ONLY! It worked out perfect for my card, I made this to send to some dear friends of mine that are celebrating their first wedding anniversary this weekend.

To make the window, I ran my card through my Cuttlebug first using the Polka Dots folder, love the new 5x7 folders, every inch of the card is covered. Then I punched out the oval using my Giga Marvy Scalloped Oval punch. Easy peasy!

Lasting Memories Challenge #9

Today's Lasting Memories Challenge is to use fancy folds or folders (pockets) on your pages. I have to admit, I was a little stumped at first. Check out the challenge HERE to see the challenge details and links to some ideas.

I remembered that I bought some folders at Target quite some time ago on clearance, amazingly enough I was able to find them and all the coordinating elements on my page in record time. If you saw my room, you'd know why this is amazing LOL

This is my adorable niece, Grace, who was 4 months old in the pics - she's over 2 now!

To play along, please link your challenge HERE and while you are there, check out what the rest of the team has made!

Have a great day!

I got this cupcake from My Grafico sometime last fall...I can't provide an exact link as I can't find it on their site anymore. However, they have LOTS of cute cupcakes to buy!

This is the stack of digis I pulled out this morning...think I have enough to choose from? LOL

I decided to pick an image from the top of the stack, Island Pixie from Pixie Dust Studio - they have so many more cute images since the last time I visited, eek! I need to use, use, use and not buy, buy, buy!

Here is a close up of the sparkle, shine & paper piercing ~ another eek, it's not showing up too well, hopefully if you click on it, you can see it...
