A Bouncing Baby Buggy

Happy Black Friday!

Did you shop til you dropped? I certainly did, lots of good deals out there and I managed to get everything on my list (and then some lol!!)

I'm sharing a card that I made a few weeks ago for a friend of mine on a Yahoo group. When I saw this adorable bouncing buggy from Squigglefly, I had to get it.

The new one did baby's room in black and white and it looks so very cool. When I found this Imaginisce paper in my stash, I knew it was perfect!

Here is the SFYTT sketch that I used.

And for once, I decorated the inside.
The sentiments are from the Congrats set from Stampin' Up. First time inked!

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Bouncing Buggy ~ Squigglefly, Congrats ~ Stampin' Up
Paper: Imaginisce
Ink: Memento (for the inside), copics: RV11, N7
Accessories: Marvy Extra Giga Scallop Punch, zig writer, SU corner rounder, EK Success scalloped border punch, stardust stickles

Thanks for looking!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

When I think about this last year, I get all teary eyed....happy tears, of course! I have so much to be thankful for this year...wonderful family and friends, without them I don't know where I would be...they have helped me become the person I am today. I am thankful for my new house and engagement. I am thankful that I am still working. I'm thankful for the wonderful online community of friends I have made and to those that have helped me grow as an artist this year. Your encouragement and support means the world to me!

Here are the last of the Thanksgiving cards to share:

Here is Riley with his turkey. The layout was a sketch challenge in one of my card groups. My favorite thing is the buttons, I finally bought some Scrapper's Floss to finish them off.

This is Indian Sadie from C.C. Designs. I used Unscripted Sketches #31 for the layout.

And last, but not least:

This adorable mouse is from Great Impressions. I bought him last year and never used him. I couldn't let another holiday go by without making a card with him. The layout is TESC91.

I hope you have all a blessed holiday!

More Fall Cards!

*2nd post for today - please scroll down to see this week's Flutter By Challenge*

Before I start with the 25 Days of Christmas on December 1st, I wanted to be sure to share with you some fall cards that I made over the last few weeks.

I love how this card turned out. I had a great time coloring it.

Last Riley with pumpkins for this year :) I used Sketch #39 from Card Patterns.

If you'd like any of the other design details, please email me or ask in the comments section.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Flutter By Wednesday #85

Welcome to Flutter By Wednesday #85!

Today's challenge is to use a circle or circles with a butterfly, fairy or angel. If you'd like to play along with us, please link your card or project to Danni's blog.

I would like you to meet Miles, this cutie is from Mo's Digital Pencil. When I saw him, I knew I had to have him and share him on a Flutterby day.

I saw it as a personal challenge to include as many circle elements as possible lol. So I started by punching the image out with my Extra Giga Marvy Scallop Circle punch and then I picked this neat layout by Sketch Saturday.

I would have loved to make a circle card, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet since I don't have a circle cutter. I do have Cricut Design Studio, but I've never used it lol. Any advice out there on how to make one? Since I couldn't do the circle card, I did the next best thing and used my CM circle punch, brads and made dots with one of my copics. The plain circles were driving me nuts, so I stamped the Hi (from Hi There!) and butterflies from my Hero Arts Thinking of You set, one of my go-to sets.

Please be sure to visit my Flutterby teammates, links are on the left sidebar. I promise I'll make my rounds this week, girls!!

Today will be a busy day. I'm moving more stuff out of my parents' in the morning and then hopefully finishing the trim painting in the craftroom so I can start setting stuff up, while I wait for the electrical to be finished and the shelving to go up in the closet.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Flutterby ~ Mo's Digital Pencil, Hero Arts
Paper: Basic Grey Marrakech
Ink: Memento
Copics: E00, E25,E27,Rv21,N7,E41,B37,G99,R29,YR68, colorless blender (on the overalls)
Accessories: CM circle punch, brads from stash, Marvy scallop punch, SU corner rounder

Have a great day! Thanks for fluttering by!

Try It Out Tuesday #44

I finally did it!!! I participated in a Try It Out Tuesday over at Follow Your Heart, the store blog for Susana's Card Art and Card Design.

Challenge #44 is "We've Got the Blues" and you were to use blues and one neutral or metallic. I chose to use gold since I wanted to use this Winter image (by Victoria Case for SCACD) and didn't think a silver dog would work lol. I'm not sure why the brad looks black in my picture, but I swear it's gold! It must be the lighting in my dining room.

The base card is a DCWV glittered card, got them on clearance a few years ago. I found them last night while looking for something else and the blues were perfect for what I had in mind! I used a makeup sponge and sponged SU Tempting Turquoise around Winter while she was still in the nestie and then I colored her with my copics (list below). After everything was colored and glued down, I used my Zig 2 way glue pen and add Martha Stewart glitter in Mica Flake (snow) and Carrara Marble (coat trim).

Supplied Used:
Stamps: Winter ~ Victoria Case for SCACD, sentiment ~ Great Impressions
Paper: DCWV
Ink: Memento, SU Tempting Turquoise
Copics: E00, B01, B02, B14, Y35, Y38, N7, RV21
Accessories: Nestabilities Labels 4, prima flowers, brad from my stash, gold spica glitter pens, Martha Stewart glitter

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I need to do a little cleaning and then I'll be creating again. I need to get some cards ready to be mailed tomorrow.

Papertake Weekly #28

I'm remembering to post a card during the week that the challenge was issued, woohoo! I've created quite a few cards lately for swaps that qualify for challenges and then totally forget to post them. I'll still share them, probably next week since I'm on vacation and will hopefully have a little more time to blog post/hop.

I made this for a Letter M swap. Usually when I sign up for M swaps, its always a monkey for me, I love my Changito Monkey stamps! But the monkeys are currently hiding, so I had to come up with something different. While going through my images, I found this adorable Mushroom Friends image (by CC Designs) that I stamped ages ago. Glad to finally be using at least one stamp from that set.

I thought this week's sketch from Papertake Weekly was perfect for this stamp.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Mushroom Friends ~ CC Designs
Paper: Basic Grey Ambrosia
Ink: Memento
Copics: E41, E57, Y35, R17, YG25, RV21, T3
Accessories: Nestabilities Labels 3, prima flowers, diamond stickles

Flutter By Wednesday #84

Hello friends and welcome to another fabulous Flutter By Wednesday!

Today we have some very exciting news to share with you! We are welcoming 3 new flutterbys to the team:
Please stop by their blogs and welcome them to our team and check out their fab cards! I took a sneak peek and wow, we are so happy to have them with us!

This week there is no extra challenge, if you'd like to play along, please use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card and link it to Danni's blog. We want to see your fluttering creations, so please join us!

Here is my card for this week:

This image is the special digi that Christy Croll designed for Danni. Danni was able to share it with her team during her birthday month in September. Now that I'm using digis, I just had to print this little cutie out and color her up. (Forgive me that her pink shirt doesn't match the rest of the pink, oopsie! I really need to work in some better light when I pick this stuff out.) The other stamps on the card are from the Hero Arts Thinking of You clear set. I thought about using all dp on the card, but didn't want it to be too busy. I think just a few flutterbys were the right touch!

The layout is SC254:

Be sure to visit all my team members to see their fab creations this week! Links are all on the left sidebar.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: digi image by Christy Croll
Paper: Basic Grey Sugared
Ink: SU pink around the edge of the image, Memento Rich Cocoa around the dp and the butterflies
Copics: E00, E25, E27, E33, RV13, B93
Accessories: Nestabilities Labels 4, stickles, brad from my stash, spica glitter pens

Thanks for fluttering by!

Squigglefly Challenge #28

I have fallen in love with Squigglefly's digi images! They are so easy to work with and there are so many to choose from! I have made a few cards already but can't share them until they are received.

I used Butterfly Cat for Challenge #28 - create a thank you card. I have a bit to learn about sizing the images lol...I was aiming for this one to be a bit smaller, at least I made it work. I love how it turned out! It was a lot of fun coloring the cat with my copics (T1, T3, RV21, B21, R29, YR16). Merci (from the Inkadinkadoo Chelsea Sentiments set) was stamped on the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The dp is Basic Grey Ambrosia, haven't used it in awhile and it looks great with my grey cat.

Thanks for looking!

My card for FBW #83

I was determined to get this card done! I've had this idea and I wanted to see if it would come out as I imagined and it has! I totally love this card.

This week's challenge was to use a butterfly, fairy or angel with a thankful theme, so if you haven't gotten your card done, what are you waiting for?? It's almost time for a new FBW!

Here is my creation:
I have a lot to be thankful for this year, the biggest thing is all the help that I've gotten with our house so my thankful card is a thank you card. I haven't decided who to give it to yet, but it will be mailed (sniff, sniff...I really want to hang it in my craftroom lol! It matches!)

The image is from someone else and I colored it with my copics and accented it with stardust stickles. The dp is BG Sultry and I put the background through my Cuttlebug with the Thanks folder. I used the Labels Three nestie for the piece behind the butterfly and inked it with Memento Rich Cocoa. In the view below, you can see how I popped it up with pop dots.

Thanks to the FBW team for understanding about not having my card ready for last week. I appreciate it!

Flutter By Wednesday #83

Happy Wednesday!

Its Flutter By Wednesday and this week's challenge is Thankful...however you perceive it. Just be sure to use a butterfly, fairy, or angel (for the holidays).

I am sorry that I don't have a card to share with you (yet), life has been busy around here again and I've been too tired to create. I do have some fun news to share, I finally am jumping on the digi image bandwagon. I downloaded some freebies and purchased a few too, printed a bunch out tonight and will try them soon!

Please link your creation to Danni's blog and visit my flutterby team members (links on the left!) for some fabulous creations!

Cute & Fuzzy Somethings

Here is another card that I created on Sunday. It is for the Cute & Fuzzy Somethings challenge at Stamp Something.

I decided to try a tall card since the image is on the large side. This adorable bear is from a friend so I'm not sure who makes it, but I did have a great time coloring it with my copics...I tried to shade/blend but I'm not sure if it shows up well enough in the picture. I kept the rest relatively simple...old DCWV paper, new Michaels ribbon and my EK Success scalloped border punch. I also used the SU corner round punch and the Hi! is from a Heidi Grace stamp set.

Cupcake Martini!

*3rd Post of the Day - scroll down for Flutter By Wednesday!*

I love this stamp and yet, its the first time I am using it! It is by Impression Obsession, not sure of the exact name since I'm using an image and the actual stamp is packed away.

I created this card for a friend's birthday, when I saw the challenge (Midnight Margaritas - use a drink/cocktail theme) at Cute Card Thursday, I just knew I had to use this image! I also loved Taylor's Sketch Challenge (TESC89) this week and it worked well with my stamp.

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Impression Obsession, Hero Arts
Paper: Basic Grey Wisteria
Ink: Memento, SU Bordering Blue
Accessories: sponge dauber, Nestabilities Labels 4, CM circle punch, copic spica glitter pens, glossy accents

Stop back tomorrow for more creations!

3 Challenge Riley

I made this card on Sunday and I'm finally remembering to post it! P.S....if you are here for Flutter By Wednesdays, scroll down to the next post!

This is a 3 challenge card using Pumpkin Patch Riley!
Challenge 1: I used ESS58 by Tracy at Eat, Sleep, Stamp. Love her sketches! As you can see I flipped the sketch and used leaves in place of the small embellies.
Challenge 2: Whimsical Ink Society requires you to use embossing (wet or dry), so I used my Autumn Cuttlebug folder
and Challenge 3: Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential - SSHP05 In So Many Words...perfect for my cuttlebug folder panel.

Thanks for visiting!

Happy Blogoversary to Me!

I started my blog on November 1, 2006, WOW! Where has the time gone?? It flew by!

Back then blogging wasn't the big thing it is today (at least to me at the time), but last year and this year, I've been a blogging fool LOL! I'm hoping to break 200 posts for '09 by the end of the year. It shouldn't be too hard to do, I still have a ton of cards to share that I've been making and some that haven't been shared from the summer, plus I will be back with my 25 Days of Christmas starting on December 1st.

Thanks to all that visit me! I so appreciate the bloggy love!
