TESC100 + 3 other challenges

Here's my last minute entry into the TESC100 Sketches Celebration, the deadline is tomorrow at 8:00 PST!

How cute is this Sweet N Sassy Cocoa stamp?? I love cupcakes and Cocoa, so I had to get him. Korin has drawn up a bunch more Cocoas that will have to find their way to my computer soon LOL.

Sorry the picture is a little off, the shimmerz are Choc-o-lot and a little hard for me to capture just right.

Here is the sketch -

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #54 - "All About Me" - use your favorite things (my favorites are Basic Grey, Cocoa the Mouse, cupcakes, copics, the colors pink & brown)
Cute Card Thurdsay #100 - Metal Mania
CCEE Stampers - Sweet - incorporate a sweet treat

Thanks for looking!!

This is one of the Thanksgiving cards that I made last weekend. It's been received so I can post it now :)

Do you still have Thanksgiving cards to make and send? If you don't have any Thanksgiving stamps, don't fret! Head over to Squigglefly and buy this little cutie. Her name is Indian Girl.

I used TESC90 for the layout and am very pleased with how the card turned out.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Indian Girl ~ Squigglefly
Paper: DCWV
Copics:E00, E27, YG25, Y35, Y38
Accessories: Labels 3 Nestabilities, SU corner rounder, brads from my stash, spica glitter pens

Cupcake Martini!

*3rd Post of the Day - scroll down for Flutter By Wednesday!*

I love this stamp and yet, its the first time I am using it! It is by Impression Obsession, not sure of the exact name since I'm using an image and the actual stamp is packed away.

I created this card for a friend's birthday, when I saw the challenge (Midnight Margaritas - use a drink/cocktail theme) at Cute Card Thursday, I just knew I had to use this image! I also loved Taylor's Sketch Challenge (TESC89) this week and it worked well with my stamp.

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Impression Obsession, Hero Arts
Paper: Basic Grey Wisteria
Ink: Memento, SU Bordering Blue
Accessories: sponge dauber, Nestabilities Labels 4, CM circle punch, copic spica glitter pens, glossy accents

Stop back tomorrow for more creations!

3 Challenge Riley

I made this card on Sunday and I'm finally remembering to post it! P.S....if you are here for Flutter By Wednesdays, scroll down to the next post!

This is a 3 challenge card using Pumpkin Patch Riley!
Challenge 1: I used ESS58 by Tracy at Eat, Sleep, Stamp. Love her sketches! As you can see I flipped the sketch and used leaves in place of the small embellies.
Challenge 2: Whimsical Ink Society requires you to use embossing (wet or dry), so I used my Autumn Cuttlebug folder
and Challenge 3: Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential - SSHP05 In So Many Words...perfect for my cuttlebug folder panel.

Boo!

A quick post for this morning...wanted to share these Halloween cuties now that I know they've been received.

The images were shared with me by a gal on one of my card groups, they are by Sweet Pea Stamps. They have some very cute stuff! Both cards were created using sketches from Taylored Expressions - TECC74 (top) & TECC73.

That's all I have time for now...if you have a question on any products used, please leave a comment and I will respond!

Have a great day!

Flutter By Wednesday #81

Happy Flutter By Day!

Its another open week, so if you would like to join us (and I hope you do!), please create something using a butterfly, fairy, or angel and link it to Danni's blog.

This happy card was created using a House Mouse image from my friend Terry. I used my newly discovered Basic Grey June Bug paper...knew I bought it but couldn't find it until this past weekend when I had to go through my scrappy stuff to repack it and move it to another room :sigh:

I went sorta Clean & Simple on this card using FTL61 from the Clean & Simple Stamping blog...hard for me to call it clean when the paper is so busy LOL! I couldn't find any appropriate embellishments so I added some sparkle using my gold spica pen on the butterfly, its kinda hard to tell by the picture though. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts clear set. I even dusted off the prismacolor pencils to color the image in, and have decided I still love my copics better.

Please visit my fellow team members, links are on the left sidebar!

Have a great day!

Flutter By Wednesday #80

Its the 80th Flutter By Wednesday today! Are you ready to flutter with us?

No special challenge this week, just create something using a butterfly or fairy!

Today I am sharing Flutterby Anya with you. She was sent to me by the Queen Flutter By herself, Ms. Danni, isn't she cute!

I used SK091909 - a Paper Craft Planet sketch. I just love using sketches, they are a great starting point when I have no idea what I want to do. I used Labels Four Nestabilities to frame Anya and I edged her with SU Tempting Turquoise ink. She's colored with Copics (E00, R11, RV11, RV14, B02, E25, E27, Y35) and covered in Star Dust stickles. I wanted to use my spica pens, but I haven't a clue which box they are packed in. The dp is Basic Grey Urban Prairie, when I decided on my image, I knew I wanted her to be bright and fun!

Be sure to link to Danni's blog if you play along and visit my dear flutter by mates, links on the left sidebar!

In other exciting news, I have started painting my scraproom! I just love the pink I picked out, is Eddie Bauer Light Pink from Lowes. The trim will still be brown, just a shade lighter than what it is now.

Some more eye candy for you...these were taken at Kent Falls in Kent, CT a few weeks ago.
Thanks for stopping by!

Flutter By Wednesday #78

Happy Flutter By Day!

Today's theme is an open one, just use a butterfly or fairy on your card! I used Mojo Monday #107 for the layout of the card. Even though it should have been easy since there was no extra challenge...it still took forever to decide what to do LOL!

I used Flutterby Huggabugg from Stamping Bella with the new Basic Grey Indian Summer paper, I'm not sure I totally like it, but it will have to do!

Be sure to stop by my fellow Flutterbys, links are on the left sidebar. If you play along, please link to Danni's blog!

Supplies:
Stamp: Flutterby Huggabugg (Stamping Bella)
Paper: Basic Grey Indian Summer
Ink: Memento, SU Bravo Burgundy
Copics: R43,R89,E27
Accessories: Labels Three Nestabilities, Coffee Ice Stickles, brads (Joanns)

Tiny Trinity

I made this card tonight for a 'T' swap using SC242.

Finally used my Unity Stamp set, Tiny Trinity. I originally wanted to try masking the trees to create a tiny forest but time got away from me and I needed to make something a bit simpler. I decided to try and give it a masculine feel and I think (hope??) I accomplished that. I used Basic Grey Mellow for the dp which has autumn colors and qualifies for the 'Colours of Autumn' challenge on the Forever Friends challenge blog. ETA: Whoops...can't use it for the challenge since its not an FF image, didn't see that. Oh well!

Sugar Nellie Sweetness :)

Last challenge card of the morning! Must run errands, even though I'd rather be tackling the rest of the challenges.

This is my favorite card of the 6 that I've created for WCMD. Lots of pink girly goodness going on! I decided to keep this card for me since it will match my future scraproom!

For WCMD09K by Sugar Nellie, we were challenged to a sketch. Love sketches!! I used a Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girl for the image, she's from my friend Michelle. I don't own any of these sweeties yet but I hope to someday!

The papers are Basic Grey Sultry and the flowers are primas with Kaiser pearls and rhinestones. I colored her with Copics - R01, RV11, RV13, E25, E27 and E31. I inked the edges of the layers with Memento Rich Cocoa.

MFT with some bling

Still at it making cards for Splitcoast's WCMD challenges, so many great ones to try out!

This was created for MFT's challenge of black, pink, white and some bling. I immediately knew I wanted to use this paper by Making Memories, its called Sabrina. I'm not sure of the image name since I got it from someone else quite some time ago...I planned to use rhinestones but couldn't find them (surprise, surprise!!) but I did find these Kaiser pearls and thought they'd be perfect with this theme. Was a bit of a challenge to get them to stick in the right place since they are so tiny LOL!

I used a MFT sketch for the layout.

TFL!

A bit "off"

That was the challenge for the Flourishes challenge for World Card Making Day. They provided the sketch and the focal point is "off", not straight and neat like I usually do.

For this card, I decided to go the Halloween route. I found Witchybella in my image stash while I was looking for something else. The fun paper is Basic Grey Eerie collection, love it!!

So pleased with how this turned out, it was definitely the quickest card of the day! And with that, I am off to bed...hope to get another few cards made in between laundry, grocery shopping, window shopping (for windows lol) and some painting. Oh and cleaning up today's card making mess!

Thanks for visiting!!

Girls just want to have fun!!

Another challenge completed, woohoo!!!

This card is for WCMD09C - Stamping Bella's Girls Just Want to Have Fun challenge. Show what you and your girlfriends do to have fun and if you could, include some 80's flair.

I believe the image is called Shopabellas - I could be wrong though since its an image I got from my good friend, Terry, quite some time ago. It was perfect for this challenge since my girlfriends and I love to shop! They love shopping for clothes and I love to shop for scrap supplies and books! The paper is Basic Grey Urban Prairie collection and of course I had to add another flower and brad LOL!

Here are the copics I used:
And the sketch:
I'm off to relax for a bit and then hope to get at least one more challenge completed before bed. I'm having a ball making cards today!

Another Challenge Done!!

I am having such a great time participating in the Splitcoast challenges! You can find the master list HERE!

WMCD09D was a triple challenge, use the sketch provided which you can see HERE, make it a thank you card and include the color brown. I thought this challenge would be easy...again ha, ha on me!! Do you think I could find a thank you stamp in this mess?? I did find my Thanks cuttlebug folder still new in its package so I used that instead of a stamp, if nothing else I could have cut something with my cricut.

This is Daisybella by Stamping Bella. She was in my image box just begging to be used LOL! The paper is Basic Grey Mellow collection. And one by one I'm using up my flowers and brads - at this rate, I'll have to make a gazillion cards to get rid of them all! I used copics YR16, Y35,E27, YG17,Ro1 and B14 to color the bella in.

Here's hoping I have one or two more challenges in me!

Happy World Card Making Day!!

It's World Card Making Day!!

It never fails and I'm usually busy when this day rolls around...but this year I made sure I'd have some time to play! Splitcoast has a bunch of different companies hosting challenges throughout today, so far I've only gotten one card done but have plans for at least 2 more! It's hard trying to create when everything is in boxes!

The first challenge of the day was from Unity Stamps, use a quote as a focal point on your card. I thought it would be sooo easy! Ha!! I couldn't find any quote stamps and since my printer is still at my mom's, well I just had to keep digging until I found a stamp to use.

Here is WMCD09A!

The quote is from Unity (you don't have to use Unity stamps to enter, but it was the first one I found!) and the paper is from an Autumn Leaves stack called Pretty Poppies. To jazz it up a bit, I inked the edges of the outside in black and the quote in SU Old Olive. I used copics R89, YR68 and YG25 to color the quote in. Topped it off with a prima flower and brad and voila, a card! I think it took me longer to find all the supplies than it did to put it together.

For the layout, I used ESS52.

Back later with more creations!!

Flutter By Wednesday #76 with SC247

Woohoo, I did 2 challenges in the same week that they were posted!!!

I just had to do Danni's Flutter By Wednesday challenge. Its still her birthday month and you can enter to win a sweet digi image designed for her by Christy Croll, I so want it!!

Here is my card:
I used SC247 for the sketch, it fit perfectly with the image (by Unity!) I picked out of my stash and was perfect for layering with this Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper. Copics used are B02, RV14 and Y32. I embellished the card with Crystal Stickles and prima flowers. The cute mini flower brad is by Making Memories.

Thanks for looking!!

What's this??? A new post from me!!

Yes, I am finally posting!!! Wow, I can't believe its been over 2 months since my last post!

Life has just been super busy...crazy and awesome and everything in between!! I bought a house and will hopefully have a new craft room to share in a few months! I also got engaged!

I had the opportunity to create some cards over Labor Day weekend (Thanks Pat!!)...and I also did a few over the summer. Hoping to share them all here eventually.

This card was created using a Whimsy stamps image from a swap I participated in ages ago. The stamps are packed up so I am happy to have a huge stash of images to work with. I used a sketch from Taylored Expressions which can be found HERE.

Isn't he adorable?! I just had to add Glossy Accents to his shell, it made him pop!

What I used:
Stamps: image from someone else (Whimsy Stamps), sentiment (Hero Arts)
Paper: BG Sultry, Georgia Pacific
Ink: Memento
Copics: YG25, YG67,B21, B23, T3, E43
Acc: Fiskars scallop border punch, Ranger Glossy Accents

TFL!! I'll post again soon!

Sweet Treats

When one of my card groups suggested a cupcake swap, I jumped right in to sign up. I adore cupcakes. They are so much fun to eat and to use on cards!

I incorporated two challenges into my card - Paperplay Challenges #23 - Sweet Treats and the sketch challenge over at Our Creative Corner.

If I had to pick one favorite thing about this card, it would be the fun flock on the cupcake. I always forget to use it! I'm glad I don't have to pick only one favorite since I really love what I made - my favorite color combo, ribbon & stickles, what could be better? :P

The Recipe:
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes ~ Stampin' Up
Paper: GP, Creative Imaginations (brown), pink (stash)
Ink: Rich Cocoa ~ Memento, Copics ~ R81, E25, E27
Accessories: Think Pink Fun Flock ~ Stampendous, stardust stickles, corner punch ~ EK Success, ribbon ~ American Crafts

The Recipe:
