Fall Back into Blogging - Day 2

Good morning!

Today's prompt for the SITS Girls Fall Back into Blogging Challenge is a photo prompt - a picture of what fall looks like in your neck of the woods or a picture that means "fall" to you.

Here are some photos I wanted to share of Kent Falls State Park from last fall.

We go every year and every year we manage to go either too early or too late and miss seeing a lot of color all at once LOL. One of these years we will get the timing right :)  We've been checking the Foliage Network and it's still low color right now. So hopefully we can pick the right day to go this year!

Thanks for visiting!

TPV Stamp Challenge

The Paper Variety is celebrating their 1 year challenge blogaversary! They had 5 fun challenges and unfortunately I didn't have time to enter all of them.  I *had* to make some time tonight to join in their stamp challenge which is sponsored by MFT Stamps ~ one of my favorite companies!

I also used this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. I love when I can participate in MJ's challenges!

I'm trying out the new handy dandy linky tool to show off what I used on my card! The only thing not linked are the leaf buttons - those are from deep within my stash!

Going to the Pumpkin Patch with PaperCutz!

TGIF!

It's time for this week's PaperCutz Challenge!  We are "Going to the Pumpkin Patch"!  Make a card, LO or craft project for Fall using Cricut cut, hand stamped, or digital stamped pumpkins, and any colors you’d like!  You can enter your creation {HERE} and while you are there check out the samples from the DT AND see who is joining our team next week!  I am happy to see a few names on the list that I know. Welcome ladies!

I decided to make a tag this week using my all time favorite fall stamp - Pumpkin Patch Riley. Tags are something that do not come easily to me but I keep 'pinning' tags on Pinterest so I thought it was time I made one.

May LOAD Days 17-20

I've been scrapping so late every night that I haven't had time to type up the blog posts for these! Less than 2 weeks to go now, I'm so happy that I've made it this far!

This is Day 17...used one of the sketches from the 28 Sketches Class.
Paper from a K&Co paper pad and embellishments all from my stash!
This picture is from when Mike and I were dating a few years ago. :)

This is Day 18...some pictures from a fall drive in CT. I have no idea where we were. I need to show Mike because he will remember!  Paper is from a DCWV stack, it was perfect since it already had a title on it. I added some Cosmo Cricket stickers for the date and a few Basic Grey Pyrus embellishments.

This is Day 19...pictures from the 2008 Big E. Love seeing the different butter sculptures when I go. The title is the name of the sculpture. Thank goodness for Google!  I didn't know what to title the page and Google came to the rescue. I was also able to find the artist's name which was nice to add.

This is Day 20. I used SBSC283 for the layout, it worked out great for my pictures! I had them sitting out on my desk all week and didn't know what to do with them. As soon as I saw the sketch on Friday, everything came together! I love when that happens! More paper and embellies from my stash!

I'll be back with Day 21 shortly. It's for a challenge so I want to post it separately or else it would get lost here!

May LOAD - Day 5

A simple page for today. I am really loving the first week of LOAD - Back to Basics.  Getting back to the basics is helping me scrap faster and easier which is great since I have stacks and stacks of pictures to get on pages!

This is another page for the series of pages for Kent Falls 2010 which is why I simply titled it The Falls.  I pulled out my fall bin and found these sparkly stickers from Walmart and leaf stickers from Hallmark. Some extremely old stash used up, yay!

Challenge Projects - Day 1

It's only Day 1 and I am loving the Layout a Day challenge and May with May class!

The LOAD prompt for today was to use the basics - photos, cardstock, patterned paper, journaling and a title. I was able to do this page in about 30 minutes and didn't use a sketch! I am so impressed with myself LOL! It was nice not fussing around trying to find the 'perfect' paper or embellishments.

May's prompt for the May with May class was to complete a crafty project is 30 minutes or less. Now I could have taken the easy way out and used my LOAD page but nope, I'm all about getting crafty this month so I challenged myself to make a card!  I pulled out a stamp that's never seen ink (yay me!) and I used the paper & embellishments already on my desk from yesterday.

LOAD supplies - Bazzill cardstock, DCWV patterned paper (from the OLD stash!), Thickers, zig writer pen

Card supplies - Spring Birds stamp from Memory Box, MME Stella & Rose Hazel papers, Queen & Co pearls, copics (R32, R35, YG03, YG67, G20, BG13, BG23)

Paper Cutz Challenge #63

TGIF!

I can't believe it's been a week since I posted...well yes I can, last night was the first night that I went into my craft room since Saturday's card. Feeling a little better but I'm still coughing a lot. Anywho, you're not here to listen to me complain...it's time for another Paper Cutz Challenge!

This week's challenge is ANYTHING GOES! Make any card, layout or craft project!

I still had all of the Basic Grey Pyrus stuff out from the last card. This card was super quick. Both flowers are from the Pops stickers and the sentiment is from the Amy R Autumn Sentiment set.

To play along, please enter your project HERE and check out all of the Design Team inspiration!

Sentimental Sundays #23

sssshhhh...I'm not really here, I'm resting like I'm supposed to be!

When I saw THIS card by Danni earlier this week, I knew I had to get this digi and use it for this week's Sentimental Sundays challenge which is Autumn or Fall. I saw Ann's card the other day and was inspired to use my new Basic Grey Pyrus paper. I'm a Basic Grey junkie lol and bought quite a few things from the Pyrus collection. I used some of the ribbon doilies and Pops on this card. The sentiment is from the Amy R Autumn Sentiments set.

Okay, now I'm really going back to bed. Luckily I can take my laptop with me and watch this week's General Hospital episodes!

Corrosive Challenge #83

When I was at The Big E the other day, I had to go see if the Sarasota Stamps booth was there. Every year that I've gone since I started stamping, I always buy a few stamps from them. I was so happy to see they were still there!

I bought quite a few stamps, among them 2 very nice pumpkin stamps. I wanted some realistic looking images since most of my stamps are cute and whimsical. I've been wanting to try the masking technique and was pleased to find it as a challenge at the Corrosive Challenge blog this week. Just the motivation I needed to get these stamps inky!

At first I stamped the 2 smaller pumpkins with the bigger pumpkin behind them...it didn't quite look right. So next I stamped the smaller pumpkin and masked the bigger one behind it , and then stamped a smaller one next to the bigger one. Love how it turned out!!

I went 'old school' with the embellishments and pulled out some leaf eyelets to use...the brads went missing lol, but at least I found a nice alternative. The sentiment is from the CC Designs Amy R Autumn Sentiments set.

Card Supplies:
Stamps - pumpkins ~ Sarasota Stamps; sentiment ~ CC Designs Amy R Autumn Sentiments set
Paper - images stamped on Georgia Pacific paper; dp is DCWV Amber Autumn stack
Ink - Memento
Copics - YR16, YR68, E55, E57, G17
Other: leaf eyelets from stash

TFL! I'll be back tomorrow night with an announcement!

It's Another Lasting Memories Sunday Challenge!

Good morning!

Today's Lasting Memories Challenge is to use fall colors and chipboard. As you can see, I used a lot of chipboard, mostly in the form of Thickers, but I also used Scenic Route chipboard buttons in 3 of the corners. I inked them and then tied ribbon through them.

Fall is my favorite time of year and I'm so happy it's here! These pictures are from our first drive to Kent Falls shortly after we began dating 3 years ago. We go every year, hopefully this will be the year that we catch the leaves at their peak LOL!

Please enter your layout using this challenge on the Lasting Memories blog and while you are there, check out all the wonderful creations by the rest of the design team!

I'll be back tomorrow with my last post as a GDT for Lollipop Crafts.

Flutter By Wednesday #80

Its the 80th Flutter By Wednesday today! Are you ready to flutter with us?

No special challenge this week, just create something using a butterfly or fairy!

Today I am sharing Flutterby Anya with you. She was sent to me by the Queen Flutter By herself, Ms. Danni, isn't she cute!

I used SK091909 - a Paper Craft Planet sketch. I just love using sketches, they are a great starting point when I have no idea what I want to do. I used Labels Four Nestabilities to frame Anya and I edged her with SU Tempting Turquoise ink. She's colored with Copics (E00, R11, RV11, RV14, B02, E25, E27, Y35) and covered in Star Dust stickles. I wanted to use my spica pens, but I haven't a clue which box they are packed in. The dp is Basic Grey Urban Prairie, when I decided on my image, I knew I wanted her to be bright and fun!

Be sure to link to Danni's blog if you play along and visit my dear flutter by mates, links on the left sidebar!

In other exciting news, I have started painting my scraproom! I just love the pink I picked out, is Eddie Bauer Light Pink from Lowes. The trim will still be brown, just a shade lighter than what it is now.

Some more eye candy for you...these were taken at Kent Falls in Kent, CT a few weeks ago.
Thanks for stopping by!
