Giraffe Girl

Good morning!

I'm popping in to share a card I made at the end of April and then forgot to post it (thus missing the challenge it was created for, oops!)

I buy a lot of stuff from MFT and it was my goal to use the stamps from the VIP package at least once before they were officially released. I did accomplish my goal but I was the only one to know LOL!

This cutie pie is Giraffe Girl from the MFT Pure Innocence line. I so love these little girls!

The sketch my card is based off of~

I'll be back tomorrow with that birthday card to share! Have a great day!

Supplies~
Stamps: Giraffe Girl by MFT
Paper: Bo Bunny Zoology
Ink: Memento, copics
Other: dienamics flower, pop dots

Tweeting By...

to say hi! (I think that's what the inside of this card will say, not quite sure yet!)

Over a month ago, I spent an afternoon coloring and I still had two images on my desk just waiting to be put on cards. Here is one of them~

I looked through all my saved challenges for this week and thought the Deconstructed Sketch would be fun to use :)  and I also incorporated Flutter By Wednesdays #197 which is an open challenge this week, all that's needed is a butterfly, angel or fairy on your creation.

Supplies~
Stamps: PI You're So Tweet by My Favorite Things
Paper: PTI cardstock, Bo Bunny Ambrosia (on sale now at Susana's!)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Other: Martha Stewart punch, Recollections Rhinestones, MFT border die

FBW #195 - Open challenge

Sigh...I'm having a hard time starting this post.

Today marks my last challenge with Flutter By Wednesdays....after being on and off the team a few times over the last three years, I have decided to step down permanently.  I've needed to make some changes in life and this is one of them.  I want to thank Danni for having me on the team for so long, it's my favorite challenge and I will still be playing along when time permits (which I hope is often)! To all my FBW teammates, it's been a pleasure to design with you and I'll still be fluttering by your blogs!

On to the challenge...this week's is open! Just be sure to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation. Click {HERE} to enter your project. For more inspiration from the rest of the team, please visit the links on my sidebar or on the FBW blog

Here is my card~

I colored this image weeks ago and finally got her on a card.  This is Lily from the Spring Flora Fairies from Carmen Medlin for SCACD. Since I colored her early, I was able to use lots of stickles :)  The paper is Bo Bunny Ambrosia, love these colors and I still have 1 or 2 more images to put on cards that match this paper. The sentiment is from Color Me Happy by My Creative Time. I didn't use it when I got it last year, but I've now used it on the last two cards I've made.

The layout is from this week's Techno Stamper's sketch~ love it and was so happy to play along again. It's been awhile!

Thanks for fluttering by today!

Flutter By Wednesday x2!

Oh happy day, it's Flutter By Day and it's also Leap Day! How you will you spend your extra day? I'm working and then I hope to craft tonight!

After taking off last week due to no mojo, I have two creations to share today. I had hoped to finish more but I ran out of time.  I finally got my desk and chair cleaned off. I spent hours coloring on Sunday!  It's been months since I touched my copics to color a full image...it was rough going at first but I think I'm back on my game :-)

Anywho, this week's Flutter By Challenge is an open one - just remember to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation!  If you play along you have a chance to win a prize from the fabulous Susana of Susana's Custom Art and Card Design.  Susana so kindly sponsored the team with stamps to use this week - thank you Susana! Click {HERE} to enter your creation and find links to the rest of the team to see what they created.

I received the Fairy Good Hair Day from the Victoria Case Fairylicious Collection. Isn't she adorable? It took me two attempts to color her but I am pleased with how she turned out.  I paired her with some new Bo Bunny Ambrosia paper also from Susana's store. There are lots of new papers there, I did leave some for the rest of you to buy, he he :)

Here is my 2nd creation using last week's inspiration challenge. I finished it Friday night but didn't have much time to blog over the weekend.  It's also for Week #8 of the 52 Week Challenge, I've managed to still get a page a week done even though I haven't shared them all here.  For this layout I used various pieces from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found collection and the sketch I used from Sketch Inspiration.

This is the first page that I've scrapped for my wedding album. I can't wait to scrap more of the photos!

Thank you for fluttering by today :-)

PMS Digi Makeover Challenge #2

Here's another card I made last night, this time for the PMS Digi Makeover Challenge #2.  I didn't want to miss this one since I missed the first one last week.

This week's challenge is a sketch and of course a digi image!

I saw Katie's card and was inspired to make my own fall card :)

I used the Crisp and clear, Fall is here Wordart....and this is silly but I am so impressed with myself! I used the PNG version in Microsoft Word and was able to change the color from black to orange. I have never tried to alter a digi before and it was so easy to do!

Thanks for looking!!

TPV Stamp Challenge

The Paper Variety is celebrating their 1 year challenge blogaversary! They had 5 fun challenges and unfortunately I didn't have time to enter all of them.  I *had* to make some time tonight to join in their stamp challenge which is sponsored by MFT Stamps ~ one of my favorite companies!

I also used this week's Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge. I love when I can participate in MJ's challenges!

I'm trying out the new handy dandy linky tool to show off what I used on my card! The only thing not linked are the leaf buttons - those are from deep within my stash!

PaperCutz Challenge #107

Happy Friday! What a loooooong week it's been! I'm happy to have a 3 day weekend. We've got lots to do around the house and I need to get some crafty time in!

Today's PaperCutz Challenge is Designer's Choice! The talented Diane (who does fabulous Cricut work) is challenging us to create a card, layout or project using 2 cricut cuts or stamped images of zoo animals along with some dimension or bling!  You are free to use any colors/themes you'd like.

One would think I would *finally* use my Create a Critter Cricut cartridge - nope, I decided to go with a stamp set that hasn't seen love in a long time - my good friend Changito. We used to be best buds until I discovered so many other stamp companies.  I created a little scene for my friends - it took a bit for me to get it the way I envisioned but I like the results.

For my bling, I used a copic spica pen in Chocolate for the coconuts and for dimension I added some Milk Chocolate crinkled ribbon from My Craft Spot behind the mat and popped up the whole panel.  The edges of the card were inked with Colorbox Chalk ink in Chestnut Roan.

I love zoo animals so I can't wait to see what you all come up with! Please enter your creation {HERE} and check out the DT samples on the PCC blog or use the links on my left sidebar.

Supplies~
  • Stampendous Changito Dos stamp set
  • Papertrey Ink Kraft cardstock
  • Bo Bunny Zoology
  • Memento Rich Cocoa ink
  • Colorbox Chestnut Roan ink
  • Stampin' Up Always Artichoke ink
  • Copics (G94, G99, E37, E39, E25, E27)
  • Copic Spica pen - Chocolate
  • My Craft Spot - Milk Chocolate crinkle ribbon
  • Mini pop dots

Emma on Rock - ATS sketch challenge

When I saw the sketch at ATS this week, I just knew I wanted to participate!

I went through my pile of C.C. Designs Images and chose Emma on Rock since I wanted to make a summer card - summer seems to be almost over and I have quite a few stacks of summery paper that haven't even been touched yet! I opened up my 6x6 pad of Bo Bunny Barefoot & Bliss for this card. The empty space under the image threw me a bit, I dug deep into my stash for some clear dew drops to add, love how they look!

I have to confess, I almost threw this image out several times. I was not happy with how the coloring was coming out and it took me quite some time to realize that this image had been printed on Georgia Pacific cardstock ages ago and it's not great for copic coloring techniques (for me at least).  My husband told me to keep working on it and I'm glad I did - I think she turned out quite well after all! Below is the picture that captures the sparkle.

Thanks for looking! I'm off to color one more image before it's time for bed...Bachelor Pad is on tomorrow night. More crafting time for me while I watch it!

24 Hr. Challenge

Click HERE for my Birthday Sundaes Blog Hop Post!

During the last weekend of each month, a yahoo group I belong to, Scrappin-N-Chattin, has a 24 hour challenge where we each select 3 collections to work with and someone else selects the collection and sketch we are to use.  I haven't played along in several months and almost backed out within the last hour lol.  I'm glad I powered through and got my page done, it was the first page I've scrapped in over a month! After finally deciding to make the page and finding the stuff I needed, it only took me about 20 minutes to put together.

Abby chose this Creative Scrappers sketch for me along with the Bo Bunny Barefoot & Bliss Collection.

I flipped the sketch so I didn't cover up the pier on the paper.  The edges were inked with Colorbox Chestnut Roan.  The picture is of my husband and our dog on the boardwalk at a beach in the next city over from us.  Everything is from the collection except for the cardstock.  I {heart} how it came out!

Let's hope I can get scrappy again this month!

Stamping Anya

It's Stamping Anya! I've stamped her a bunch of times but don't recall ever putting her on a card LOL! I thought I'd have a bit of fun with her and use the Bo Bunny Ad Lib paper again.

The layout is TECC42 and I'm entering her into Creative Card Crew's May Flowers challenge

Tatiana Ketto

Sorry for all the posts, but if I don't get them linked up to the challenges now I will forget LOL!

This is Tatiana Ketto from Stamping Bella, another image from the piles. I'm not sure where she came from, I had a bit of difficulty coloring her as the paper was probably not great for Copics but she's colored and on a card, so yay! I do love how her hair looks...I discovered a few images after this one that my E00 was running dry so that may have been part of the problem when I colored her.

I used TECC61 for the layout and some funky new paper from Bo Bunny called AdLib. The brad and flowers are from my stash!

I am entering this in Everybody's Art challenge #141 - Flowers!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you all had a sweet day!

This is the card I made for my husband. I found this House Mouse image in my stash so I'm not sure of the name...the paper is from Bo Bunny Crush. I love all the heart patterns in this pad.

I even decorated the inside! The stamps are from an old CTMH set. The ribbon is from American Crafts, I won it in a blog candy package from my friend Jennie a few months ago.

I'm entering these challenges:
Crafty Catz #69 - Valentines/Love
2 Sisters #26 - Hearts

And a few photos from our night lol...our family photo. This is our first married V-day and our first with our puppy!

Our yummy dinner prepared by my husband!

TE Blast from the Past Blog Hop!!

{Please scroll down if you are here to see my Flutter By Wednesday post!}

Welcome to my stop on the Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop! I'm so glad to be playing along this month! If you just happened upon here, please start at the TE blog so you don't miss anything! You will find a full list of participants below as well.

I've got two fun creations to share with you all today using the theme 'Love'. The first is a card using a sketch created by the fabulous Sankari! I flipped it to accommodate what I had in mind.

I used the Love Everywhere set, seeing as I have my own lovable dog now I just had to use the pooch from this set! This set happens to be on sale right now too!

Here is my 2nd creation! I used the TE calendar template along with the Love Everywhere set again. I had fun blinging it up with my stickles.

Happy Hopping!

First Snow

I scrapped my first page of the year today. Yay!!!

Here's a sneak peek of the title ~ it wasn't my brightest idea to use the vinyl thickers since they don't show up well in the photo!

Of course I couldn't resist incorporating a few challenges~

The Paper Variety - started by my friends Abby & Suz months ago and I finally have the time to participate, woohoo!

and I'm entering it into the Double Dip challenge on the Yahoo Group Scrappin-N-Chattin, enter a challenge on a blog, forum, etc. and share that challenge with SNC.

These are the first pics that I've scrapped of our dog Amber. She's now 10 months old so this is her first experience with snow. We rescued her through the SPCA and she came from Alabama.
I used Bo Bunny's Winter Joy for the designer paper as well as the coordinating chipboard. The cardstock is Bo Bunny Double Dot. I just had to use my EK Success paw print border punch along the photo mat to mimic Amber's prints in the snow.

I used an older sketch from the Sketch Inspiration forum~
