Ceremony ~ A Wedding Layout!

Happy Saturday!

Any plans for the weekend?  We are going to my parents' today along with 2 of my sisters and their kids. I hope to take lots of pictures of all the little ones :)

I created this page last night for two challenges: Creative Scrappers Sketch #208 and Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge - Weddings.

I wrote the journaling right on the paper and it's a little hard to see unless you enlarge the picture. It simply reads "Ceremony pictures taken by our guests".  I really love this sketch and plan to do a mirrored 2nd page with more photos from our ceremony.  The paper and embellishments (except the bling and Thickers) are all from the Basic Grey Capella collection.

Have a great day!

Flutter By Wednesday x2!

Oh happy day, it's Flutter By Day and it's also Leap Day! How you will you spend your extra day? I'm working and then I hope to craft tonight!

After taking off last week due to no mojo, I have two creations to share today. I had hoped to finish more but I ran out of time.  I finally got my desk and chair cleaned off. I spent hours coloring on Sunday!  It's been months since I touched my copics to color a full image...it was rough going at first but I think I'm back on my game :-)

Anywho, this week's Flutter By Challenge is an open one - just remember to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation!  If you play along you have a chance to win a prize from the fabulous Susana of Susana's Custom Art and Card Design.  Susana so kindly sponsored the team with stamps to use this week - thank you Susana! Click {HERE} to enter your creation and find links to the rest of the team to see what they created.

I received the Fairy Good Hair Day from the Victoria Case Fairylicious Collection. Isn't she adorable? It took me two attempts to color her but I am pleased with how she turned out.  I paired her with some new Bo Bunny Ambrosia paper also from Susana's store. There are lots of new papers there, I did leave some for the rest of you to buy, he he :)

Here is my 2nd creation using last week's inspiration challenge. I finished it Friday night but didn't have much time to blog over the weekend.  It's also for Week #8 of the 52 Week Challenge, I've managed to still get a page a week done even though I haven't shared them all here.  For this layout I used various pieces from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found collection and the sketch I used from Sketch Inspiration.

This is the first page that I've scrapped for my wedding album. I can't wait to scrap more of the photos!

Thank you for fluttering by today :-)

Forever Friends

It's the weekend, woohoo!!! Any plans?  I am off to the eye doctor for an exam and hopefully some cute new glasses and then a little shopping at the mall and craft stores. We are supposed to have beautiful weather and I think we may take the dog for her first hike tomorrow.  I'd like to get some craft time in but after spending all week cooped up at the office and home, I need to get out and enjoy some fresh air!

Today's pages are from the crop I attended a few weeks ago - I still have at least 4 more pages to share from that day.  I love how these pages turned out - I had some friendship transparencies that I wanted to incorporate but they weren't working out.  I decided to stick with plain cardstock and dress it up with Basic Grey Marjolaine paper and embellishments. I think the tree & birdie are perfect for these outdoor pictures of my friends and I at my bridal shower. The title is made with Forest Thickers from American Crafts - I picked them up while I was at the crop.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Time to Celebrate

Sharing a page I made at a crop a few weeks ago, these are pictures from my bridal shower last summer.

I'm glad I brought this collection with me to the crop, I had one collection set aside and while I was packing I came across 3 different MME So Sophie collections and I decided to take them with me.  The MME paper was perfect for some of the shower pics! The title came from one of the collections as well. I used some holiday sweet spots from Precocious Paper as accents.

I loved all the little touches my friend and sister added to the shower such as the picture frame that everyone signed and the frames all around with pictures of my now-husband and I in them.

Wedding Wishes

Happy Tuesday....back to work today after over a week off.

Quick post for today sharing a card I made for my co-worker's wedding which was the last Sunday of June.

The wedding colors included purple and green so I wanted my card to reflect that.  I used Papertrey Ink Plum Pudding cardstock for the base and ran it through the D'Vine Swirl Cuttlebug folder and sprayed the heck out of it with Pearl Glimmer Mist.  I am loving the pretty mists now!  The banner underneath the sentiment is from the scrap bin and the Wedding Wishes and border were stamped on Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream cardstock.  The stamps are from the Verve Love Story set.  Pearls are from my stash.

I used Sweet Sunday Sketch 122 for the card layout.

Reduce, Re-Use and Recycle with Lasting Memories

I finally got my layout done for this week's Lasting Memories challenge!

This week we'd like to see you reduce, re-use and recycle your scraps or something you have laying around that you could incorporate onto your layout! You have until Saturday night to enter your page for a chance at the Top 3 and to win a prize from Heart Song Designs!

I had this idea in mind for a page to hold my wedding cards (well it will be pages since we have a lot of cards!) So far I got this one done and I used the Wedding Bells digi from Heart Song Designs.  For the recycling challenge, I cut some flowers out of a tissue box.  I saved a bunch of this box design so I have plenty for the rest of the pages lol!  I popped the bells up and strung them through baker's twine from The Twinery...does anyone have any tips on getting it through holes easily?  I struggled with this for quite awhile - the bells took a bit but weren't as hard as trying to get it through the whole page so I finally used brads to hold it to the page.

Now run and make a layout for the challenge! You can enter it HERE!

The Wedding...finally!

I am finally starting to feel better...what a long road it's been!! I started with a cold on 9/30 and it turned into bronchitis and has taken 3 rounds of antibiotics and oodles of other meds to get me on the road to recovery.

I've been wanting to blog wedding pictures for those that didn't see them on facebook, so here they are...you can click on them to see them bigger!

We rented a lodge from a small town about a half hour from where we live, it overlooked a beautiful lake. The weather was perfect!

Yay, we did it!!

Our wedding party
(Mike's best man, Mike, me, my MOH sister and MOH bff)

Some of our formal pictures taken by Mike's cousin:

One of my favorites of my dress

My favorite picture of me!

My sister's gift to us was the cupcakes from The Sugar Bakery &
she made us a small cake to cut

My favorite DIY details! I made the placecards & bookmarks and my dear friends Pat & Dee took care of the little favor boxes and filled them with Hershey's Hugs & Kisses.

The sign in table - I made 4 scrapbook pages for people to sign...would love to read them but I need to find them first LOL!! I think they are still packed up with some wedding stuff.

EDLC Day #5

Here are today's pages! I did another two pager and scrapped 9 pics!

Paper and brads are from the Crate Paper Bliss collection and the flowers are from Prima. The pics are from my bff's wedding, we all had such a fun time dancing lol!

Today's shopping trip was a success, I bought my wedding dress!!! So excited, it will be here at the end of July! Next up is to start getting the invitations together...and no I'm not making them lol. I bought boxed ones last fall and will just dress them up a bit!
