Freshly Made Sketches #39

Last post for tonight!

This is another image from the batch I colored last week. Isn't this skunk adorable?! It's from The Angel Company - can't recall the set name though. I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches since it was perfect for a smaller image.

I punched the skunk out with a Marvy circle punch and then the red panel was punched with a Marvy scallop circle punch.  I added the dots with a white Signo pen.  The cardstock, patterned paper and buttons are all from an old kit.

Here is the sketch~

TFL!

Supplies~
Stamps: The Angel Company
Paper: Bazzill, MME So Sophie Clever
Other: copics, buttons from kit, Marvy punches, white Signo pen

A Penguin Birthday

Here's another card I made today!  Last weekend I colored 8 images to match a kit I got last year or the year before from Taylored Expressions. Having all the images pre-colored really speeds up my card making!

My niece is turning 4 this week so I will give this card to her. I know it's not pink LOL!  But it's a card done ahead of time for a change!  The end of the week will be busy for me and I know I won't have time to make a card then.

I used the Techno Stamper Lunchtime Sketch~

TFL!

Supplies~
Stamps: The Cat's Pajamas
Paper: Bazzill cardstock, MME So Sophie Clever
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, copics
Other: MFT Chevron Stripes Die-namics, MFT Fishtail Stax, yellow stickles

Super Boy for Birthday Sundaes

Good morning and Happy Superbowl Sunday! I'm not a football fan but I'll use it as a good reason to get together with friends and have a fun time!

Easy peasy challenge this week at Birthday Sundaes! Simply create a new birthday card and remember to include birthday wording/sentiment on your card front. Please click {HERE} to enter your card and see what the DT created this week!

This week's sponsor is Karen's Doodles and they provided some cute images for the DT to use.

The lucky winner will receive 3 digital images of their choice.

Here's my card using Super Boy! I'm trying to get practice making boy/male projects since I'll have a new nephew in May :)

I went with a kraft theme since I didn't have a flat surface to color on at the time I made this card.  A different look for me but I think it works! The designer paper is from the MME Kraft Funday - Happy Days paper (psst...it's on sale at SCACD right now!) The cardstock is all from Papertrey Ink and the sentiment is from the Hooray for Birthdays set by Scrappy Moms Stamps. Such a fun and versatile birthday set! I used my gold spica pen to add a few highlights to Super Boy.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Life is a Daring Adventure...

Just a quick share from me this morning!

I made this at the crop a few Saturdays ago.  It was supposed to be for the MTME Pretty Patterns challenge but I missed the deadline since I didn't unpack for a week. LOL

I love how it came out. I think the inked edges really make each layer pop!
I used my last scrap of pleated black ribbon that I bought at the crop I went to in September. This time I bought some white, cream, silver and brown to use.  They were out of black, bummer!

The quote is from Paper Makeup Stamps, I used the large version for this card. There is also a small version and you can get it as a digi!

The paper is MME Vanity Fair which you can find at SCACD, my fave place to buy papers! I popped the quote off the layer underneath to give it a little dimension. Pearls are from my stash and the border was punched with an EK Success border punch.

Here is the sketch! I think it's one I will use again :)

TFL! Have a great day!

TE Blast from the Past Hop 14 - Collectors Anonymous!

Good morning and welcome to my stop on the TE Blast from the Past - Collectors Anonymous hop!

If you just happened to stop by and visit, thank you! To enjoy the entire hop, please start {HERE} at Taylor's blog! You will find a full list of participants below.

I couldn't wait to break into some pretties that I've been saving.  I started with the March 2011 Key Ingredients kit which had MME Stella Rose - Gertie papers in it, along with some fabulous wooden buttons.  Crafty Cuppie is the star of my card - it's the first time I've inked this set up!

I tried to add lots of embellishing - the strip along the bottom is some fabulous trim that I got at TE along with Kaisercraft Rhinestones in the corners, on Cuppie's head and doesn't every crafter needs a sheet of rhinestones on their craft table? he he.  I also added some bakers twine to finish off the buttons.  I really had a lot of fun making this card - it felt GOOD to use my supplies!

*P.S. The fabulous card layout is from Sankari, she draws up some awesome sketches for the hops!

Your next stop is LISA - happy hopping!

A Butterfly Birthday Sketch for FBW #165

Yay, it's Wednesday! Only a few more days until the weekend, I need some time to get my scraproom under control after pulling out stuff for the LSS tag sale and reorganizing with storage pieces that I found at the sale...in addition to my usual messes!

This week's Flutter By Wednesday challenge is a sketch created by our Flutter By Leader, Danni!  I had a great time with it and I am sure you will too.  Don't forget to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation!  Click HERE to enter your creation and check out all the DT samples by visiting the links on my sidebar.

Here is my take on the sketch.  I knew just what I wanted to do with it to, keep the focus on the paper.  My fellow Flutter By Team member, Jen, has done this with a few of our FBW challenges and I really enjoy seeing them.  I have so much fabulous paper that deserves to be shown off!

I used a greeting from my well loved birthday set from Paper Makeup Stamps - Birthday Cheer. The designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose Hazel 6x6 paper pad, I love the colors in it! All of the butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch and accented with Basic Grey Bling It opaline pearls.

Thanks for fluttering by today!

Precious Baby Girl

Quick share for today - a layout of my niece and I at my bridal shower. She was about 3 months in these photos and she's over a year old now!

I picked this page kit out of a prize bin at the LSS crop - everything is from the kit except the flowers & pearls. I used the Fiskars Threading Water punch on the edges of the blue strip. The layout is an older one from Sketchy Thursdays - I forgot to write the dates on them when I printed a bunch of sketches to bring to the crop.

The designer paper is from MME Wild Asparagus as is the 'precious' title.  I cut up some ribbon from the kit that said baby girl to include as part of the title. The cardstock is Bazzill, the great thing about scrapping at a scrap store is always having cardstock available that matches everything!

TFL! Hope your week is off to a good start!

Time to Celebrate

Sharing a page I made at a crop a few weeks ago, these are pictures from my bridal shower last summer.

I'm glad I brought this collection with me to the crop, I had one collection set aside and while I was packing I came across 3 different MME So Sophie collections and I decided to take them with me.  The MME paper was perfect for some of the shower pics! The title came from one of the collections as well. I used some holiday sweet spots from Precocious Paper as accents.

I loved all the little touches my friend and sister added to the shower such as the picture frame that everyone signed and the frames all around with pictures of my now-husband and I in them.

Flutter By Wednesday #160

I can't believe we are at 160 FBW challenges!

Today's challenge is an open one - just remember to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation. This week we are sponsored by Through the Craftroom Door - click HERE to enter your project and to check out the prize details!

Here is my creation ~ a layout of my niece. Pictures are from my bridal shower last August. While I was opening gifts, she decided to go play in my friend's dog's toy bin and I had my sister snap a few pics.

The layout is based on an old Sassy Lil Sketches layout, I had it printed in my crop file and didn't write the date of the sketch on it. The paper is from the My Mind's Eye So Sophie line. I had fun mixing and matching the patterns that were included in the collection. The flowers and butterfly are from Prima.

Have a Dandy Day!

My mojo strikes at the wrong times sometimes, does that happen to you? I should be in bed now but I was inspired to make a few cards tonight.

This card using the Kirsten Fairy Silhouette by Paper Makeup Stamps was inspired by a card that I saw on Jami Bova's blog on Monday.  She printed the silhouette on designer paper and I love how it looked so I decided to use my stamp and give it a whirl. I love the scene that I created :)

I wasn't sure that I would add a sentiment but then I saw the 'have a dandy day' in the Little Moments stamp set. Just perfect!

Supply List:
Stamps: Kirsten Fairy Silhouette & Little Moments by Paper Makeup Stamps
Paper: My Mind's Eye Lime Twist - Fly a Kite
Ink: Colorbox Black
Other: grass decorative scissors, misc. button, crinkled ribbon from My Craft Spot

Happy, Happy Birthday with Birthday Sundaes!

Good morning!

Today's Birthday Sundaes Challenge is to use Embossing - Wet or Dry on your birthday card (don't forget birthday wording/greeting!). I happen to like dry embossing much better than heat embossing lol...less mess and frustration.  At the moment I can't even heat emboss if I wanted to as I never unpacked the gun and it's in one of the many unpacked boxes I still have LOL!

Of course I had to use my Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder, it's one of my favorites and I'm finally remembering to use it more often! I also used up some scraps from the FBW card I posted on Wednesday.  This was a quick and easy card!

I used the new FTL layout, love this site!

Supplies Used:
Papertrey Ink Stampers Select White cardstock
My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose Gertie paper & brad
Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder
Polka Dots Cuttlebug folder
Memento ink

Let's Do the Polka for Flutter By Wednesday!

I know, I know - goofy blog post title LOL!

I am excited for today's Flutter By Wednesdays Challenge which is to go DOTTY! Use POLKA DOTS in your creation along with a butterfly, fairy or angel! Click HERE to enter your creation!

I..um...may have gone just a teensy bit overboard with the polka dots lol!

How cute is this image?! It's Caliope with a Flower from Paper Makeup Stamps - Caliope is one of my favorite non-fairies :) I tried something new around the image with the blue shadow...not sure I love it, but it does add a bit 'more' to the card I think.

I used last week's SCS sketch for the layout - it worked out perfectly since I wanted to include a few patterned papers!

Supply List~
Stamps: Caliope with a Flower by Paper Makeup Stamps
Paper: Papertrey Ink Stampers Select White, My Minds Eye Stella and Rose Gertie
Ink: Memento
Copics: Caliope (R24, R27, R29, R01, R11, R20), flower (Y35, Y38), grass (YG95, YG97, G20), shadow (BG01)
Other: Martha Stewart butterfly punch, diamond glaze (works great to adhere the butterflies!), Polka Dots Cuttlebug folder

Thank you for fluttering by today!

A Bugaboo Birthday Sundaes!

Good morning!

Today's Birthday Sundaes Challenge is our popular Anything Goes Birthday Card Challenge - just remember to include birthday wording/greeting on your card front!

We are being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and the winner will receive 7 free digis of their choice, how cool is that?! Jodie, the owner, generously provided our team with images to use. Check out the Birthday Sundaes blog to enter your card and to see all the neat samples from the team!

Here is my card using Stella Birthday - Eat More Cake ~

I was inspired by several entries last week using the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder so I just had to pull mine out and use it!  The designer paper is from one of the My Mind Eye's Stella Rose pads.  I cut Stella out with Nestabilities and colored her in with copics.  This was my first attempt at grey hair, I kinda like it!  I add Diamond Glaze to part of the balloon and ice cream. Pearls from my stash are around the oval.

Have a great day and we hope to see your entry this week at Birthday Sundaes!

Natalie's Cake

I spent some time Monday morning stamping images from a bunch of stamps that I got from Paper Makeup Stamps. One of my favorites from this order is Natalie's Cake because I LOVE cake LOL! I used one of my favorite birthday sentiment sets, also from PMS, called Birthday Cheer.

I used last Saturday's Sweet Stop Sketch for the layout - flipped to accommodate my image.

I used Labels Eight to cut my image and the ribbons are from my overflowing stash!

TFL!  Stop back shortly for my PaperCutz Challenge card!

FBW #157 with Paper Pretties!

It's time for Flutter By Wednesdays!  One of my favorite days of the week :D

It's the first Wednesday of the month - can you believe it is JUNE already?!

We have an open challenge for you today - just remember to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation!

This week we are sponsored by Paper Pretties and they were so nice to give the DT images to play with! Check out the FBW blog HERE to enter your creation and to see what you can win!

I just had to play with the Flutterby digi - she is so cute!

I dug into some newer stash for my card. The paper and embellishments are all from the My Mind's Eye Gertie collection. The Flutterby image was cut using my new Labels Seventeen. I did add a little Smooch to the bracelets, necklace and butterfly but it's a bit hard to see in the photo. I also added a sentiment from one of my favorite sentiment sets - Little Moments from Paper Makeup Stamps

I hope you will join us this week - there is always so much inspiration to be found on the FBW blog!

Happy Birthday Lilly

Happy Monday!

This is the last of the cards I'm sharing from my weekend crafting session.  Instead of copics, I colored this image with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. This is the 2nd time I have tried it and I like the results better this time. I am going to keep practicing as I have tons of images stamped & printed on Georgia Pacific paper and I cannot use them to practice my copic coloring.  I certainly don't want all my cute images going to waste!

The image on this card is Lilly from Softpencil Digital Images. Isn't she sweet? :)

I used TECC64 for the layout and the image was cut out with Nestabilities Labels Eleven. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Birthday Messages. I used My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Mabel designer paper, it's so very pretty!

Tilda Picking Peaches

This is the first card I made yesterday. The image is Tilda Picking Peaches from Magnolia Stamps. She was in one of my many image piles.  It's time to start using them up!

I spent a long time coloring her and am very pleased with how she came out!  I found that I'm still not great at hair but I will keep practicing!

I used a very old sketch from Taylored Expressions, TECC66. I had the sketchbook with me yesterday and made most of my cards with those sketches.  The paper is from the My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Mabel 6x6 pad and the bling is from my stash!

I am entering this into Stamp Something's Anything Goes challenge. They are also celebrating their 3rd birthday, check out all the deets here!

May LOAD - Day 7 and another challenge

This is my 4th page for today and possibly my last so I am going to enter it for my Day 7 of LOAD.  I'd hate to get distracted and not make another page by the deadline tonight!

I started this layout using the 2nd NSD challenge from the Scrapfriendly Yahoo Group.  The challenge is to use newer photos, papers & tools.  I used adorable pics of my niece Emily, some MME Stella & Rose Hazel papers, and used my Cricut (and Gypsy)!! The yummy was cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge - first time using it! The cake was cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge (my 2nd time using this - I originally bought it to cut some flags that I used on my wedding bookmark favors)

FBW #153

It's Flutter By Time!

Lots of info to share today so grab a cup of something and keep reading!

As it is the first Wednesday of the month, we have a sponsor for this challenge.

This week's challenge is an OPEN one, just remember to include a butterfly, fairy or angel! (Trust me this is an important step - you don't want to wait until you're ready to upload your card and realize you forgot one of the three - wonder why I know this?? LOL!!!) You can upload your creation HERE

We also have a guest designer this week!  Amy Young from A Thousand Sheets of Paper! She is a talented crafter as well as the illustrator of Sweet November Stamps! Have you seen her newest releases - adorable fairies with fruit! Please visit the FBW blog to see her creation!

Yes I have MORE news - we have the fabulous CINDY HAFFNER joining our team!! How exciting is that?!! I've been an admirer of her work for a long time and am thrilled to have her as a teammate!

Okay now that we addressed all the important news, I bet you want to see a card!

Here is my creation using Sophie in the Country from The Paper Shelter.

She is my first person that I've colored since the classes and besides going outside the lines a few times, I think she turned out pretty good :)  I printed her on the Xpress Blend It paper and the dp is all from the MME Hazel 6x6 pad. Ribbon from my stash and the butterflies were punched from a Martha Stewart punch.

I used a card sketch from Utah Divas International.

Have a great day! Thank you for stopping by!
