Flutter By Wednesdays #207

It's Flutter By Day!

Today's Flutter By Wednesdays challenge is the popular Anything Goes - just remember to include a butterfly or fairy on your project. Link up HERE and check out all the DT Inspiration!

I found a cool sketch at iClassygirl.com and rolled with that and some of the same supplies I used on last week's card - still loving the washi tape! Cardstock is PTI and patterned paper is Authentique Delightful.  Sentiment is from a Scrappy Moms stamp set and the butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart.

Here's the sketch~

I'll be back in a few hours with the SITS Girls Fall into Blogging Day 3 post!

SNC - CC Day 23

Yes, I'm still in the challenge! Just a week left!

I still have several cards to share but I'm not sure where I left off.  Hope to catch up on posting over the weekend :)

Today's prompt is to make a shaped card - let me tell ya that had me sweating!  I have a Cricut and a Gypsy  but there are several features that I don't use often enough so I forget what the little icons mean.  Once I found a shape that I wanted to cut, then it was time to read the manual.

The welding didn't quite match up but not too bad for my first attempt at making a shaped card.   The reindeer was cut at about 5 inches from the Doodlecharms cartridge and the tag was cut at about 1.5 inches from the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge.  I stamped a sentiment from a Scrappy Moms stamp set on the tag and tied it on with some crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot.   Added in brads for his eyes and he was declared ready to be photographed.

I'm sharing my card with these challenges:
My Time to Craft #185 - Christmas in August
Moving Along with the Times - Shape Up - Anything but Square
Divas by Design - #49 Anything Goes

You Sparkle

TGIF and Cheers to a long weekend!

I got out of work early today so I decided to start putting cards together with the images I colored on Sunday.  There are so many layers on this one that it took me awhile!

In addition to trying to use my Basic Grey stash this week along with Danni, I also need to start using more cardstock and my tools like embossing folders and dies.  I was able to use all those things on this card, go me! I picked out several shades of cardstock that matched this paper pad and will see how I do using it over the next 5 cards that I have images colored for. For my layout, I used this week's CPS sketch (shown below).

Here's another look so you can see the dimension~

And here is the sketch from CPS~

Supplies~
Stamps: Twinkle Fairy by Stamping Bella, Happily Ever After by Scrappy Moms Stamps (sentiment)
Cardstock: red (misc. brand), green (PTI), black (DCWV)
Paper: Basic Grey Scarlett's Letter
Ink: Memento, copics
Other: sizzix embossing folder, Queen & Co. rhinestones, pop dots, star dust stickles, Die-namics Scallop Ribbon border

Tiddly Inks Challenge #81

I was on a roll last night and made three cards. This is the third one and I created it for the current Tiddly Inks Challenge - Best Friends Forever.  This cutie, Girl's Best Friend, was in my printed files for quite some time. She's thrilled to be colored and on a card now :)  I just love how the doggie turned out!

The layout of the card was based on a sketch from Digital Tuesday's challenge a few weeks ago.

Supplies:
Stamps: Girl's Best Friend from Tiddly Inks, sentiment from Scrappy Mom's Raining Cats & Dogs
Paper: Copic Xpress Blend It cardstock, MME Stella & Rose Gertie
Other: copics, prima flowers, Queen & Co pearl

Animal bday card using Retro Sketches #3

I finally sat down at my desk today...and sat...and sat.  I flipped through oodles of stamped and printed images and picked out this adorable Birthday Cup Mouse. I found a new to me challenge blog called Retro Sketches and I used this week's sketch for my card layout, except I changed my card to a square since my image was on the larger size.  This is also my challenge card for Birthday Sundaes #48 to use an animal on a birthday card.

Here's the sketch~

Army Wives starts in less than an hour! I am so excited to see Susan Lucci on tonight's episode. I miss All My Children so much!

Supplies:
Stamps - Birthday Cup Mouse by MelJen's Designs, sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps
Paper - Happy Days by Simple Stories
Other - copics, buttons from stash, Cappucino twine from The Twinery, ribbon from my stash

Super Boy for Birthday Sundaes

Good morning and Happy Superbowl Sunday! I'm not a football fan but I'll use it as a good reason to get together with friends and have a fun time!

Easy peasy challenge this week at Birthday Sundaes! Simply create a new birthday card and remember to include birthday wording/sentiment on your card front. Please click {HERE} to enter your card and see what the DT created this week!

This week's sponsor is Karen's Doodles and they provided some cute images for the DT to use.

The lucky winner will receive 3 digital images of their choice.

Here's my card using Super Boy! I'm trying to get practice making boy/male projects since I'll have a new nephew in May :)

I went with a kraft theme since I didn't have a flat surface to color on at the time I made this card.  A different look for me but I think it works! The designer paper is from the MME Kraft Funday - Happy Days paper (psst...it's on sale at SCACD right now!) The cardstock is all from Papertrey Ink and the sentiment is from the Hooray for Birthdays set by Scrappy Moms Stamps. Such a fun and versatile birthday set! I used my gold spica pen to add a few highlights to Super Boy.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
