I'm back with another card! By the way, This Means War was a great movie! I'd recommend it. Both my husband and I enjoyed it.
This one went together pretty easy once I picked out a sketch.
I changed the card to a standard size since my image was on the skinny size. The border piece is another negative I saved from the chevron stripes I cut yesterday. Some embossing finished off the background piece nicely! The pretty flower image is from Tiddly Inks, although it was a freebie from ages ago and I don't see it on the site to link up.
Now that I've turned the 6 images from last Sunday into cards, I counted to see what was left of the pad. I started with 13 sheets of 6x6 sheets and lots of scraps (I would say I had a little over 1/3 left of the pad). I'm down to 7 sheets of 6x6 sheets and still lots of scraps! I wonder just how many cards one can make from an entire pad LOL! Tomorrow I'll make a few more cards with some of the scraps and then move on to another pad.
Here is the sketch from Cards & Things~

I Spy Sketches #17
This is my 2nd post for today. Scroll down if you'd like to see my wedding layout! :)
Today has been such a wonderful day! We had a great time at my parents with my sisters and their kiddies. Lots of food and fun!
I'm here to share card #3 that I've made with the Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter paper pad. I used yesterday's sketch at I Spy Sketches. Their sketches are always fun and I hope to play along more often. The sample card that the sketch was based off used chevrons so it was just the inspiration I needed to use my MFT Chevron Stripes Die-namics for the first time!
Here's the sketch~

You Sparkle
TGIF and Cheers to a long weekend!
I got out of work early today so I decided to start putting cards together with the images I colored on Sunday. There are so many layers on this one that it took me awhile!
In addition to trying to use my Basic Grey stash this week along with Danni, I also need to start using more cardstock and my tools like embossing folders and dies. I was able to use all those things on this card, go me! I picked out several shades of cardstock that matched this paper pad and will see how I do using it over the next 5 cards that I have images colored for. For my layout, I used this week's CPS sketch (shown below).
Here's another look so you can see the dimension~
And here is the sketch from CPS~
