July Layouts

Here are 3 of the 4 layouts I did for July...the 4th one I can't share since I'm entering it into a group homepage contest and don't want anyone from the group seeing it yet!

These are all pictures that were taken at Magic Wings in Deerfield, MA in September 2006. Its a very cool place to go. My mom and I had a great time!

All the paper used is either Bohemia from My Mind's Eye or Basic Grey Perhaps collection. All layouts were created from sketches. I so love using them. They help my creativity immensly.

Its Grilling Time!

Another card for yet another summer swap. I had to create 4 different cards to send to the same person in July. Next month's theme is C - I'm already half done with those. Ahead of the game for once!!
The stamp here is Changito Chef from Stampendous. I love the Changito line. I saw a preview of Changito Christmas stamps, oh I can't wait until the stamp store gets them in! The paper is all DCWV Summer Stack and the coloring was done with my prismacolor pencils. I added the Ranger Glossy Accents to his hat just give him a little oomph, stickles didn't seem appropriate LOL!

TFL! Its off to bed for me...I'd like to stay up to finish watching the Sox/Yankees game (GO SOX!) but there is still 2 more innings and I need my beauty sleep ;)

What's Moo?

This card served two purposes...one was for a sketch challenge and the other a summer swap. I'm up to 7 cards made today!

The cow and sentiment are from TAC's An'Udder Birthday? set and the cherries are from a Hero Arts Cupcakes set. I colored everything with my prismacolor pencils and inked the edges with Stampin Up Apricot Appeal. Paper is from the DCWV Summer stack, I will be so sad when I run out of this ice cream paper!

It's Christmas in July!

Here are the Christmas in July cards that I created for a Friendsday Wednesday on a yahoo group I belong to. I love the way they turned out!

This is Wreathabella from Stamping Bella. I have used her quite a few times already. I really should use her sister, Merrybella, soon! Paper is from a Provocraft Holiday Slab V. I bought it on clearance last year at Michael's. Coloring is a combination of my prismacolor markers, marvy markers and galaxy markers. I also accented her with Diamond stickles. I used the Cuttlebug again - yay me! This is the D'vine Swirl folder. The sentiment is from a TAC set.

I love my House Mouse stamps. My favorite place to buy them is from HM Stamps. This stamp is Stockings Hung with Care. I colored them with my prismacolor pencils and markers. The snow on the bottom is Diamond Stickles. Sentiment is from SU's Crazy for Christmas set. I picked it up at an LSS garage sale a few months ago. I can't wait to try out the other stamps in the set.

Under the Sea, Under the Sea...

Now I have one of the songs from the Little Mermaid running through my head LOL!
That is my all time favorite Disney movie.

As soon as an Under the Sea swap was mentioned on a yahoo group I'm in, I couldn't wait to join. I just had to dust off my dolphin stamp. I love dolphins but don't have many opportunities to stamp them.

I thought this turned out pretty good considering I started it without a plan. The stamps are PSX and I bought them years ago at one of the craft stores. The patterned paper is more from the DCWV Summer stack. I stamped the shell stamp with Versamark and the main image with CTMH Grey Wool. I also shaded the background of the dolphins with my Sky Blue Light prismacolor pencil. They had to be under water :)

TFL! And stay tuned for more artwork tomorrow, I have to get some Christmas in July stuff done! For now I must go to sleep!

C is for....

Cat! Isn't Fluffles adorable? I've stamped a bunch of images of him for others, but this is the first card I've made with him.

Background was done with the Stylized Flower Cuttlebug folder. The accent flowers were cut from DCWV Summer stack paper. What a pain but I think they look great! Another favorite tool of mine are the Marvy Scallop punches, couldn't resist using them with this stamp. The image was colored with my prismacolor pencils.

Can a Skunk be Sweet?

I certainly think so!

I just made 2 of these cute cards - one is for an Animal Lovers swap and the other is for a rose swap. The stamps are from The Angel Company. I just love how nicely they stamp! The paper is from DCWV (surprise, surprise), its from an old stack. I used Marvy markers to color the flowers and then accented them with Ranger Glossy Accents. Oh! And I brought out my dust collecting Cuttlebug to emboss the background. I need to start using it more!

How sweet it is....

I created this card for a Sweet Swap, isn't it scrumptious?

The stamps are from Pink Cat Studios Sweet Treats set. I can't wait to try out all the other yummy stuff in this set. The paper is from Die Cuts with a View Summer Stack. I just love these stacks, I can always find the perfect paper for whatever I am working on. I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then accented with Xmas Red stickles and Ranger Glossy Accents, my 2 favorite things to use lately!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day!
I am spending the day hanging out and taking it easy. After all the excitement of last weekend, its nice to lay low!

Here are a few halfway decent fireworks shots from the West Haven fireworks last night. My camera has a severe delay and it wasn't making me very happy last night. I think next year I will pull out my old film camera, I think that was the only time I got scrap-worthy fireworks pictures!

The Scruds take Boston by storm!

Every year, I meet up with a great group of friends to scrapbook, eat, talk, shop and explore whatever city we are in or near. This year we went to Boston. Oh what fun was had! We wore ducky hats all over the city. Ate great Yankee food, pastries, burgers and more. The duck boat tour was very cool. I got 12 pages done for Grace's album and bought some cool new paper and stamps to play with.

We started Boston off by getting off the T and walking to Fanueil Hall.

We had lunch at Durgin Park. Ate a yummy thankgiving on a roll sandwich. Then we walked over to the pastry store...YUM! Had a piece of Italian Rum Cake. No picture...sorry....dug right into it!
Got to take a picture with the hot Abercrombie model in Fanueil Hall...sadly, the girls wouldn't let me take him home LOL!

There was a bridal party walking around taking pictures and they took one with the hot guy too and then we wanted to take a picture with them. Even the wedding photographer took our picture so we will be in some couple's wedding album!

Here are the boats we took for the tour. It started at the Museum of Science.


We ended our night at Cheers. It was so fun! We have a picture of us in our duck hats with the jazz singer that was performing. We were quite the hit around town with our hats. It was so much fun to make people smile and laugh.
