Springtime ATC

I created this ATC the other night for a springtime swap. Some days it feels like spring has arrived and others its still too cool to say spring's here.

This is another recently found Hero Arts stamp that I came across in my stash. I kept it pretty simple since I wanted to keep the focus on the flowers. The thing I love about an ATC is that I can take it and incorporate it into a card or use it as an embellishment on a page, now have I actually done these things? Of course not, but they are on the "to do" list.

The Recipe:
Stamps: Artistic Calla Lilies ~ Hero Arts
Paper: DCWV, GP, CTMH Sweet Leaf
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, Pretty in Pink ~ Stampin Up
Copics: Yooo, Y04, YG03

SC219 & Stamp Simply #79

I created these cards a few weeks ago and haven't had a chance to post them until now. They are some of my favorite cards that I've created recently. I saved the pink based one so I can frame it and have some of my art on my walls :) The stamp is from a set of 4 wood mounted butterflies from Hero Arts. Its a set that I bought forever ago and am finally using.

The sketch is SC219 which you can find HERE and I also used a challenge from the No Time to Stamp? blog. I find the neatest challenges here. This is challenge #79 - You've Been Tabbed. I love how the ribbon tabs look and will definitely try it again!

The Recipe:
Stamps: Two Butterflies Fig 1 ~ Hero Arts
Paper: GP, Porcelain ~ Basic Grey
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, Copics ~ R20 & YR82
Accessories: ribbon ~ Joanns

Thanks for fluttering by!

The Recipe:
Stamps: Flower Drop ~ House Mouse, sentiment ~ Studio G
Paper: DCWV, GP, CTMH Sweet Leaf
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, Almost Amythyst ~ Stampin Up

Paper: Fashion District ~ Me & My Big Ideas, Georgia Pacific
Accessories: sponge dauber, Frosted Lace stickles, Marvy Oval Scallop Giga & Xtra Giga punches, ticket corner rounder ~ SU, copic spica pens

Flutter By Wednesday #50!!

It's a big Flutter By Wednesday. We are celebrating Danni's 50th week of hosting Flutter by Wednesdays. There is lots going on so be sure to read the whole post and stop by our Flutter By team members listed on my left sidebar.

First, let me tell you about the card. This week we are using a sketch by Maria Bell. You can find her blog HERE.

I am still wishing for warmer weather here. 30's and low 40's isn't spring weather to me LOL! The paper is from last year's DCWV Spring Stack, its bright and fun, just like the weather should be. The image is Becoming Butterfly by Unity Stamp Company. I just love this saying!

Be sure to check out our Featured Team Member Heather this week! You can see her blog HERE. We also have a fabulous guest designer, Catherine St. Clair. Stop by Danni's blog to see her creation and her blog can be seen HERE.

To celebrate 50 weeks of Flutter Bys, Danni is offering up this blog candy when you participate by linking a card to her blog, or uploading it to PCP or SCS using the keyword FBW.

Yummalicious!

I created this card for a monochromatic swap, not one of my strong suits in scrapping, but I think I did okay!

The paper is from an old Spring Stack by DCWV. The row of cupcakes is a stamp by Unity Stamp Company called One, Two, Three, Four Thousand cupcakes. I masked the last one off since it didn't fit on the panel for the card I was making. I used the clear spica pen on the cupcakes, but it doesn't show in the picture. I used Friday's sketch from Prairie Paper & Ink, Amy always does a great job with her sketches!

The Recipe:
Stamps: Unity Stamp Company
Paper: GP, DCWV
Accessories: ribbon ~ Michaels, clear spica pen
Ink: Tuxedo Black, copics (see picture)

Butterfly Layouts

Here are a few layouts I did over the weekend for an online crop. The pictures were taken at Magic Wings in Deerfield, MA back in September 2006.

This is a Tithorea butterfly. I used Basic Grey Perhaps line for the paper and Thickers for the title. The ribbon is from American Crafts as are the brads. You can see the original sketch HERE.

This is a mix of butterflies, I labeled most of them. The paper is the Bohemia line from My Mind's Eye. You can see the original sketch HERE.

This is an Indian Leaf butterfly. One of my favorites from that day. It was quite the challenge getting pictures of it! You can see the original sketch HERE.

This is a Postman butterfly (on the statue). No sketch used! I kept it simple so the paper wasn't covered. up. More MME Bohemia and Thickers.

And this is one of my favorite layouts from the weekend. No sketch used! Paper is from the MME Bohemia line. The title was one of the crop challenges and I used thickers to spell it out. I used my new Martha Stewart butterfly punch to dress up the layout a bit. I just love how it turned out.

Celebrate!

I created this card for last Monday's Mojo Monday #78. I've been so busy scrapping that I haven't had a chance to post in the last few days.

I shortened the main panel a bit since the stamp I picked wasn't as long. I had fun mixing all these new Basic Grey Marrakech papers and using my new Inkadinkadoo stamp. I used the clear spica pen on the frosting layers of the cake but it doesn't show up in the picture.

The Recipe:
Stamps: Inkadinkadoo, Studio G
Paper: GP, Basic Grey Marrakech
Ink: Rich Cocoa ~ Memento
Accessories: ribbon ~ American Crafts, yellow stickles ~ Ranger

TECC59

This adorable card was created for a pink/yellow swap and I thought Taylored Expressions Cupcake sketch for this week was perfect to showcase my image and this yummy new dp from Basic Grey.

The main image is from the Unity kit - Birds of a Feather. I'm not usually into birds, but when I saw these cuties, I thought they would be fun to work with. I was right! The sentiment is from one of my many Studio G sets.

I also got to play with two new punches - the scalloped photo corners and the scalloped scallop border punch from EK Success. I really love these punches! They punch with ease and since they are flatter than most punches, they store quite easily. In place of the circle, I cut a cylinder from my Cricut, just to give it a slightly different look. I did change the card to a standard size, just for easier mailing purposes.

The Recipe~
Stamps: Birds of a Feather ~ Unity Stamp Company, sentiment ~ Studio G Series 16
Paper: GP, Basic Grey Porcelain
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, copics ~ R20 & YG25
Accessories: Cricut, scalloped photo corner punch ~ EK Success, scalloped scallop border punch ~ EK Success

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm posting this early since I know I won't have time before work tomorrow and I don't want to forget!

This is Goodluckabella by Stamping Bella. Isn't she cute? I had a great time coloring her in with my copics, I had just enough different shades of green that looked good together to make it work. I thought she needed a purple shirt so she didn't blend in too much with all that green!

I used a sketch from the Bella forum at SCS - BSC71, which you can see HERE.

The Recipe:
Stamps: Goodluckabella ~ Stamping Bella
Paper: DCWV, GP
Accessories: ribbon ~ Michaels
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, copic markers & spica pens

Enjoy the day!

Mojo Monday #77

I had to create a cupcake card for a cupcake swap. This cute cupcake from the new Angel Company set Little Cupcake was perfect for it! I got my order from my good friend Christina yesterday and just couldn't wait to ink it up today.

I used the Mojo Monday #77 sketch for this card. In place of the circle I used my marvy oval scallop punches. The scalloped edge around the layer underneath the image was punched with one of the new EK Success border punches - Scalloped Scallop. Love it! It lined up nice and punched so easy. I can see more of these in my future.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils. I didn't have enough of those colors in the copics and I thought the pencils could use some love lol!

The Recipe:
Stamps: Little Cupcake ~ The Angel Company
Paper: GP, DCWV, PTI Lemon Tart
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento
Accessories: oval scallop punches ~ Mega & Giga, dew drops ~ Robin's Nest, scalloped scallop border punch ~ EK Success, prismacolor pencils ~PC929, PC913, PC1081, PC1012, PC956, PC919)

TFL and stay tuned for lots of posts this week. I've been busy creating today and I also have a few cards that I still haven't shared!

Happy Flutterby Day!

Its Wednesday which means its time for another Flutterby Wednesday creation!

This week I am showing a layout instead of a card. I went to a weekend crop and cranked out 31 pages and one of them had butterflies and flowers so I thought it would be perfect to share here today!

These adorable girls are my nieces. The little miss there is going to have a huge book before she even turns 1! The butterfly border is from a pack of Bazzill Edges, they have a bunch of fun shaped borders and of course I had to buy the pack when I saw butterflies! I stickled them all to give them a little pizzazz. The paper is from Basic Grey (I think its the Oh Baby Girl collection..) and the flowers are from Prima. I did use a sketch but I don't remember where it was from.

This week's featured Team Member is Cathy, be sure to check out her blog HERE. We also have a guest designer, Maria Bell, and you can see her creation on Danni's blog and her blog. Be sure to check out the rest of my team members too, their links are on the left sidebar.

If you decide to play along, link your project back to Danni's blog and if you upload to PCP or SCS, please use the keyword FBW so we can find your creations.

TFL and have a great flutterby day!

TECC57 - Hey Cupcake! & Daisybella

I love Fridays for more than just the obvious start of the weekend. It also means its time for a new sketch over at Taylored Expressions. Taylor hosts Cupcake Challenges each and every Friday. You don't have to use cupcakes and most of the time I don't...not sure why as I have enough of them LOL!

Anywho, I decided that I would use cupcakes this week. I "built" these cupcakes with the Hey There Cupcake set by Stampendous. I just *had* to have this set when it first came out quite some time ago and then I never used it. I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

And then since I loved this sketch so much, I created another card with a Stamping Bella that hasn't seen ink yet. This is Daisybella and she is one of my new favorites since I love daisies.

The Recipe - Hey Cupcake
Stamps: Hey There Cupcake ~ Stampendous
Paper: GP, DCWV, Bazzill, PTI ~ Dark Chocolate, Paper Company
Ink: Rich Cocoa, Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, copics ~ E25, RV11
Accessories: Xmas Red Stickles ~ Ranger, swiss dots cuttlebug folder

The Recipe - Daisybella
Stamps: Daisybella ~ Stamping Bella
Paper: GP, DCWV, Bazzill, PTI - Dark Chocolate, Paper Company
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, copics Accessories: prima flower, bella dots, clear spica pen

I'm on the Flutter By Team!

I've been waiting to spill the beans LOL!

I have been asked to join Danni's Flutter By Wednesday Team. Every Wednesday we post a card using a butterfly and sometimes there's a twist involved. This week, no twist. For my first Wednesday, I challenged myself - no sketches or challenges! Well was that ever a challenge LOL!

I am so pleased with how this card turned out.

Close up of sparkle (its so much better IRL!):

I used Memento Angel Pink to sponge the background and a clear spica pen to glitter up the butterfly image. The stamps are from the Unity Stamp February KOTM.

Please be sure to check out this week's featured stamper Michelle, the rest of the Flutter By team and to welcome Jodi to the team too. The links are on the left sidebar! And if you'd like to play along be sure to link to Danni's blog and if you upload to SCS or PCP use the keyword FBW47.

The Recipe:
Stamps: Unity February KOTM
Paper: DCWV, GP
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Angel Pink ~ Memento, copic robin's egg blue
Accessories: sponge dauber, Marvy mega scallop oval punch, prima flowers, clear spica pen

SFYTT with Tilda

Another week with another Sketch for You To Try! I just love these sketches.

This is Tilda with Flower and this is another card created for the Magnolia February rain. I had a great time putting this card together. I love this Tilda with the Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter designer paper. I attempted to create a little scene by sponging Memento Bamboo Leaves ink around her feet so she looks like she's standing in the grass. I think she's pretty darn cute!

The Recipe:
Stamps: Tilda with Flower ~ Magnolia
Paper: GP, Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, copics (see below)
Accessories: prima flower, brad ~ Joanns, Angel Wings Shimmerz

Mojo Monday #75

I made a lot of cards this weekend and I have to say this card is one of my favorites!

I created it for a few swaps. One was D is for...and instead of the typical dog or daisy that I would usually do, I used the deer from the Unity February KOTM. I just love this kit! Lots of variety to create with. I used a sponge dauber to give the deer some grass to stand on. The sketch is Mojo Monday #75, lots of layers! It was great fun putting together.

The Recipe:
Stamps: Unity Stamp Company ~ Feb KOTM & grab bag
Paper: GP, DCWV, PaperTrey Ink ~ Dark Chocolate, Kraft, Ripe Avocado
Ink: Rich Cocoa, Bamboo Leaves ~ Memento
Accessories: flowers & buttons ~ MM Paperie Mocha, sponge dauber, threading water punch ~ Fiskars

Yay, its finally here! I've been dying to share this card with you all but had to wait until the big sketch reveal today over at Just My Sketches.

Here is the sketch:

The image is Companion by Penny Black. I just love these hedgehogs, they are so cute and another addiction to feed LOL! The paper is from the Basic Grey Mellow collection. I embellished the card with prima flowers, bazzill buttons and American Crafts ribbon.

The Recipe:
