MAY 1st Reveal at Just My Sketches!

It's time for the May 1st reveal over at Just My Sketches!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:
This is Julia with Flowers from Anki's Sweethearts for Susana's Card Art and Design. I've had her for awhile and inked her up awhile ago. She just happened to match the scraps that I used to make a card the other day. I pieced her dress with Fashion District dp from My Mind's Eye and colored her with copics, but I forgot to write them down. The base of the card is PTI Aqua Mist run through the Cuttlebug with the textile folder. The big flower was cut with my new Lyrical Letters cricut cartridge.

If you play along, please link your card to Deanne's blog.

Sketch Reveal for April 1

Today is the sketch reveal over at Just My Sketches!

When I saw Deanne's sketch, I immediately thought of Easter Eggs instead of circles.

This was a fun card to create. Instead of stamping the eggs, I decided to cut them out of DCWV Spring Stack paper from a few years ago. I really liked the fun patterns. The "Happy Easter" is from one of the $1 Studio G sets. I colored it in with a clear spica pen but it doesn't show up in the picture.

You can check out my fellow team members on my left sidebar. If you play along, be sure to link to Deanne's blog so we can all see your creations!

The Recipe:

BIG NEWS and cards to share

I have some BIG news to share with you today!

It has been announced that I made the new card design team over at Just My Sketches! You can see the official announcement HERE. My first card will be posted on March 1, so be sure to follow me or subscribe to my blog so you don't miss my DT debut. I have all my fellow Card Team 1 members listed on a blog roll to the left, so check them out too!

To celebrate the announcement, I used one of Deanne's fabulous sketches for a valentine's card. Click HERE to see the sketch I used. This card uses Unity Stamp Company's Love Grows set. I've bought quite a few sets from there over the last few months and this is the FIRST time I'm finally using one! I fell for this set because of the tree, I just couldn't wait to use it on a card.

Here are the copics I used:

This is a card I made the other day for a coworker's girlfriend. I had this idea in my head for awhile, not completely thrilled with how it turned out, but he liked it so I guess that's what counts! I used the Heartfelt set by Close to My Heart. I got it last year and hadn't used it til this card, shame on me! The sentiment is from a Studio G set.

Have a lovely Valentine's Day!
