My Last DT post for Lasting Memories

Today I bring you my last post as a Design Team Member for Lasting Memories. I have truly enjoyed my 2nd time around as a designer but have decided not to renew as to give someone new the same chance I was given two terms ago by Karen.

This week we have a sketch challenge for you. I decided to use the pictures that I didn't get a chance to scrap for our Easter challenge last week.

I used some very old stash on this page! The background paper is from an old DCWV spring stack.  They don't appear to be making the huge seasonal stacks anymore...which is probably a good thing LOL! The title and ribbon are printed right on the paper, so cool! The tiny borders around the small pictures are from an old sticker sheet by K&Company and the bunny & eggs are stickers from Doodlebug Designs. I drew in some grass with my copics.

Less is More Easter for PaperCutz #85

TGIF!  It's a new month, wow! This year seems to be flying by at full force, I hope you are all making the most of it!  I'll have my month in review posted over the weekend.

Here is my take~

I swear the base matches the dp IRL. For some reason it looks bluish on screen to me! I decided to tackle a CAS card when I found the below great sketch over at Less is More.  The cutie patootie chick is from Stampendous and the dp is from my scraps, not a clue who made is. I either bought it last year or the year before at the LSS.

Basic Grey Bunnies

I have to say that I love how these cards turned out...I wasn't sure about using non-holiday paper with Easter cards, but I think they look neat.

This first one is my favorite, I've always loved this image and since I got a few in a swap, I've been holding them hostage LOL


This one is a teensy bit boring, but I did try to dress up the background paper with a new toy I recently got, a Viva Decor Pearl Pen, it's pretty cool!


Both cards are made with sketches from Midnight Madness. I love their new CAS versions.

Sketch Reveal for April 1

Today is the sketch reveal over at Just My Sketches!


When I saw Deanne's sketch, I immediately thought of Easter Eggs instead of circles.

This was a fun card to create. Instead of stamping the eggs, I decided to cut them out of DCWV Spring Stack paper from a few years ago. I really liked the fun patterns. The "Happy Easter" is from one of the $1 Studio G sets. I colored it in with a clear spica pen but it doesn't show up in the picture.
