Try It Out Tuesday #44

I finally did it!!! I participated in a Try It Out Tuesday over at Follow Your Heart, the store blog for Susana's Card Art and Card Design.

Challenge #44 is "We've Got the Blues" and you were to use blues and one neutral or metallic. I chose to use gold since I wanted to use this Winter image (by Victoria Case for SCACD) and didn't think a silver dog would work lol. I'm not sure why the brad looks black in my picture, but I swear it's gold! It must be the lighting in my dining room.

The base card is a DCWV glittered card, got them on clearance a few years ago. I found them last night while looking for something else and the blues were perfect for what I had in mind! I used a makeup sponge and sponged SU Tempting Turquoise around Winter while she was still in the nestie and then I colored her with my copics (list below). After everything was colored and glued down, I used my Zig 2 way glue pen and add Martha Stewart glitter in Mica Flake (snow) and Carrara Marble (coat trim).

Supplied Used:
Stamps: Winter ~ Victoria Case for SCACD, sentiment ~ Great Impressions
Paper: DCWV
Ink: Memento, SU Tempting Turquoise
Copics: E00, B01, B02, B14, Y35, Y38, N7, RV21
Accessories: Nestabilities Labels 4, prima flowers, brad from my stash, gold spica glitter pens, Martha Stewart glitter

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I need to do a little cleaning and then I'll be creating again. I need to get some cards ready to be mailed tomorrow.

Papertake Weekly #28

I'm remembering to post a card during the week that the challenge was issued, woohoo! I've created quite a few cards lately for swaps that qualify for challenges and then totally forget to post them. I'll still share them, probably next week since I'm on vacation and will hopefully have a little more time to blog post/hop.

I made this for a Letter M swap. Usually when I sign up for M swaps, its always a monkey for me, I love my Changito Monkey stamps! But the monkeys are currently hiding, so I had to come up with something different. While going through my images, I found this adorable Mushroom Friends image (by CC Designs) that I stamped ages ago. Glad to finally be using at least one stamp from that set.

I thought this week's sketch from Papertake Weekly was perfect for this stamp.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Mushroom Friends ~ CC Designs
Paper: Basic Grey Ambrosia
Ink: Memento
Copics: E41, E57, Y35, R17, YG25, RV21, T3
Accessories: Nestabilities Labels 3, prima flowers, diamond stickles

Flutter By Wednesday #84

Hello friends and welcome to another fabulous Flutter By Wednesday!

Today we have some very exciting news to share with you! We are welcoming 3 new flutterbys to the team:
Please stop by their blogs and welcome them to our team and check out their fab cards! I took a sneak peek and wow, we are so happy to have them with us!

This week there is no extra challenge, if you'd like to play along, please use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card and link it to Danni's blog. We want to see your fluttering creations, so please join us!

Here is my card for this week:

This image is the special digi that Christy Croll designed for Danni. Danni was able to share it with her team during her birthday month in September. Now that I'm using digis, I just had to print this little cutie out and color her up. (Forgive me that her pink shirt doesn't match the rest of the pink, oopsie! I really need to work in some better light when I pick this stuff out.) The other stamps on the card are from the Hero Arts Thinking of You clear set. I thought about using all dp on the card, but didn't want it to be too busy. I think just a few flutterbys were the right touch!

The layout is SC254:

Be sure to visit all my team members to see their fab creations this week! Links are all on the left sidebar.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: digi image by Christy Croll
Paper: Basic Grey Sugared
Ink: SU pink around the edge of the image, Memento Rich Cocoa around the dp and the butterflies
Copics: E00, E25, E27, E33, RV13, B93
Accessories: Nestabilities Labels 4, stickles, brad from my stash, spica glitter pens

Thanks for fluttering by!
