Cute & Fuzzy Somethings
Here is another card that I created on Sunday. It is for the Cute & Fuzzy Somethings challenge at Stamp Something.
I decided to try a tall card since the image is on the large side. This adorable bear is from a friend so I'm not sure who makes it, but I did have a great time coloring it with my copics...I tried to shade/blend but I'm not sure if it shows up well enough in the picture. I kept the rest relatively simple...old DCWV paper, new Michaels ribbon and my EK Success scalloped border punch. I also used the SU corner round punch and the Hi! is from a Heidi Grace stamp set.

Stamptacular Sunday #13 - Party Animal
As soon as I saw this challenge on Sunday, I immediately knew that I wanted to use the penguin stamp from the TCP Smells Like Cake set. Don't they look like party animals lighting up that yummy cupcake?
I decided to make my first gatefold card...I have to say it didn't turn out quite like I expected. I think I finally figured out the problem, the sentiment is too big to cover just a tiny bit of the main image (which is why I moved it to the bottom!). I'll have to try it again soon and see if I can get it to close!
I also decorated the inside a bit since it peeks out from the front.
The Recipe:
Stamps: Smells Like Cake ~ The Cat's Pajamas
Paper: DCWV Sweet Stack, GP, brown (stash)
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Angel Pink ~ Memento, Copics ~ Y32, E57,R43,R81,YR16
Accessories: Labels One Nestabilities, stardust stickles
Thanks for visiting!

Sweet Treats
When one of my card groups suggested a cupcake swap, I jumped right in to sign up. I adore cupcakes. They are so much fun to eat and to use on cards!
I incorporated two challenges into my card - Paperplay Challenges #23 - Sweet Treats and the sketch challenge over at Our Creative Corner.

If I had to pick one favorite thing about this card, it would be the fun flock on the cupcake. I always forget to use it! I'm glad I don't have to pick only one favorite since I really love what I made - my favorite color combo, ribbon & stickles, what could be better?
The Recipe:
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes ~ Stampin' Up
Paper: GP, Creative Imaginations (brown), pink (stash)
Ink: Rich Cocoa ~ Memento, Copics ~ R81, E25, E27
Accessories: Think Pink Fun Flock ~ Stampendous, stardust stickles, corner punch ~ EK Success, ribbon ~ American Crafts

Challenge 39 - House Mouse Birthday
Its the House Mouse Challenge Blog's 1st birthday!
It so happens that I have a cousin celebrating a first birthday party today, so I made him this card.
I had a good time creating this card last night. The sketch was inspired by this week's Twisted Thursday #12. I got to play with my copics ~ I think my cupcake looks divine! I also used my nestabilities for the first time in my Cuttlebug. I don't know why I waited so long!! They really cut quite easily - if you have them and haven't used them in the Cuttlebug yet, watch THIS awesome tutorial by Gina K. Designs. It is wonderful! I started another card this morning using a different nesties set, I'm addicted now!
The Recipe:
Stamps: Make a Wish 02 ~ House Mouse Stampabilities, sentiment ~ Inkadinkadoo
Paper: GP, DCWV
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, More Mustard ~ Stampin Up
Copics: E00, E33, E35, R81, YG25, B14, YR24
Accessories: Xtra Giga Oval Scalloped punch ~ EK Success, Ribbon Tag Trio ~ Nestabilities, ribbon ~ American Crafts
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your day.

Good friends & Chocolate...
You can never have enough of either one!
I created this card for a House Mouse swap and I just had to use this stamp with the chocolate since Stamptacular Sunday's challenge this week was "Oh, for the love of chocolate". The layout is Tamara's Card Sketch #96. I had to flip it to accommodate my image. I love how this card turned out, but I forgot to stickle the tops of the chocolates! Oh well, I'll have to remember that next time.
The Recipe:
Stamps: Chocolate Delight ~ House Mouse by Stampabilities, Chocoholic ~ Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps
Paper: GP, CTMH, DCWV
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, Copics
Accessories: scalloped scallop border punch ~ EK Success, brads ~ Joanns, zig writer

Sugar & Spice
This cute Tilda was created for a Sugar & Spice swap. I used Eat Sleep & Stamp #38 for the sketch and I also incorporated the Basic Grey challenge of Doodling (and using their product - Wisteria papers). I always forget about doodling, it really does a lot to an image! These new papers are so very pretty and easy to use!
The Recipe:
Stamps: Loving Tilda wearing hat ~ Magnolia Stamps
Paper: GP, Basic Grey Wisteria
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, Copics (see below)
Accessories: Zig writer, apron lace border punch ~ Fiskars

Happy Birthday to A Spoon Full of Sugar!
This week's challenge (#52) is to create a celebration card in honor of A Spoon Full of Sugar's one year blog birthday.
I used Limitless Limbs by Pink Cat Studios to create my card. The presents and cupcakes were popped up with mini pop dots and I used stickles to accent the dots, presents and parts of the cupakes/hats.
The Recipe:
Stamps: Limitless Limbs ~ Pink Cat Studios
Paper: GP, Hot off the Press (pink swirls), DCWV, Kraft & Summer Sunshine ~ Papertrey Ink
Ink: Tuxedo Black & Rich Cocoa ~ Memento, Copics ~ E18, YG25, RV34, YR21
Accessories: Stickles ~ Fruit Punch & Star Dust, mini pop dots, Heidi Swap edge distresser, ribbon (from a ribbon buy in)
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are all enjoying a nice long weekend!

Twinkling Tuesday #17
This is my first time playing along in Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesdays. I was challenged by my friend Danni since the theme this week is "In with the Old" - make your project using a stamp that you have never used before. You know the ones you HAD TO HAVE but have sadly never seen ink? Danni knows me too well, I tell ya. First, I have tons of stamps that haven't seen ink yet and second, I can't resist a personal challenge LOL!
So I dug out my Pink Cat Studio's Limitless Limbs set to make my card. I just HAD to have this set when it came out and until last night, it was still new in the package! I thought it would be a challenge to cut out the little pieces but it wasn't. I can't wait to use this set again!
One of my wishes is to have a money tree in the backyard, since that will probably never happen...I thought a cupcake tree would be the next must have!
If I had to redo this card, I'd use the dp on the whole card instead of just a portion since you don't see much of it. Its great yummy paper from the DCWV Sweet Stack. Bought that at Joann's when it first came out and finally opened it last night. The sentiment is from the new line of cupcake $1 stamps at Michaels...I only had it for 5 days and used it already, what a miracle! LOL!!
The Recipe:
Stamps: Limitless Limbs ~ Pink Cat Studios
Paper: GP, Lavender Moon & Lemon Tart ~ PTI, Sweet Stack ~ DCWV
Ink: Rich Cocoa ~ Memento, Copics (G21 at the end)

SC219 & Stamp Simply #79
I created these cards a few weeks ago and haven't had a chance to post them until now. They are some of my favorite cards that I've created recently. I saved the pink based one so I can frame it and have some of my art on my walls
The stamp is from a set of 4 wood mounted butterflies from Hero Arts. Its a set that I bought forever ago and am finally using.
The sketch is SC219 which you can find HERE and I also used a challenge from the No Time to Stamp? blog. I find the neatest challenges here. This is challenge #79 - You've Been Tabbed. I love how the ribbon tabs look and will definitely try it again!

The Recipe:
Stamps: Two Butterflies Fig 1 ~ Hero Arts
Paper: GP, Porcelain ~ Basic Grey
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, Copics ~ R20 & YR82
Accessories: ribbon ~ Joanns

OCC Sketch & Recipe Challenge #37
Today was Tilda day. I have been struggling with coloring these cuties, I'm not sure why but it took me some time to figure out what I wanted to do for the Magnolia rain girls this month. I ended up creating 3 different cards, once I got started with the first one, I couldn't stop. I can show another one tomorrow and the last one will be shown once the recipient gets it...she's a blog reader and I don't want to ruin the surprise (hi Danni!)
I started by picking a sketch. I used this week's sketch challenge over at Our Creative Corner. I only have one oval punch so I decided to use a scrap piece of paper to mount the punch on. Looks a little funky but it grew on me by the time the card was complete.
The second challenge I incorporated was the Recipe Challenge #37 over at Sketches by Tamara. The challenge was to incorporate flowers, buttons and stickles/glitter. I used Gold Glimmer Shimmerz for my glitter.
The copics used:
The Recipe:
Stamps: Tilda with Flower ~ Magnolia
Paper: GP, Scarlet's Letter ~ Basic Grey
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, copics (shown above)
Accessories: button ~ Foofala, scrappers floss ~ Karen Foster, flowers ~ Prima, brads ~ Joanns, Gold Glimmer Shimmerz, Threading Water border punch ~ Fiskars, oval scallop punch ~ Marvy
Thanks for looking!

Unity Tree
This was an interesting card to create. I was NOT allowed to color...how can I not color??? I think you all know how much I love to color, especially with my copics. So this really was the challenge it was intended to be. I created this for Stamp Simply #75 - Black Ink Only and I used this week's Unity Sketch over at the SCS Unity forum.

The stamps are from the Endings & Beginnings, the February KOTM at Unity Stamp Co. I just love their stamps. They are fresh & fun. So since I couldn't color, I chose the tree to be my main image. It really screamed to be colored green, but I didn't give in LOL! The paper is Basic Grey Scarlett's Letter and I used ribbon from Michaels, along with the Mega Scallop punch by Marvy. Its not one of my favorite cards but it was different and outside of my box a bit.

I hope to spend some time at my craft desk this weekend. Happy weekend!

I {heart} to Stamp with a little bit of flutterby
I made this card for February's Aloha RAK group...I used two challenges to create the card.
The sketch is from yesterday's I {heart} to Stamp Sketch for You to Try and used more yummy dp from the Basic Grey Sultry line.
I also wanted to do Danni's Flutter by Wednesday #44...the challenge was to use a butterfly, sparkle and buttons. Hopefully you can see the sparkle on her shirt and the butterflies, I used the copic spica clear pen and its not showing up as well as I had hoped!

And the copics:
The Recipe:
Stamps: Butterflyabella (Stamping Bella)
Paper: Georgia Pacific, Sultry (Basic Grey)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Accessories: Copics, clear spica pen, butterfly punch (EK Success), ribbon (Michaels), buttons (misc.)

Flower Fluffles
This card covers 2 challenges that I recently found on The Daily Dare. What a cool blog, they round up each daily challenge and post them each day. Sure makes the searching easier on me!
I used Flower Fluffles by Stampendous on a sketch from CCEE Stampers, it was a pretty simple sketch which allowed my image to shine through. I also used this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge to use hearts or flowers, since I had already selected the flower stamp, it made this challenge easy!
I dug out my Basic Grey 6x6 pads and selected the Euphoria stack to create with and of course, my copics to color. I swear I will use my pencils again, I'm sure they are lonely! I just can't resist using the markers when they match what I'm working on
Both my copic clear spica pen and my gelly roll stardust pen provided the right amount of sparkle.
As always, thanks for looking and commenting. I appreciate it!

Ribbons & Butterflies
This card covers quite a few things...I created it for a Ribbons & Butterflies swap and I used a Taylored Expression sketch TECC52TV. Be sure to join in Taylor's 1 Year Celebration of Cupcake Challenges, there are 9 sketches and prizes can be won! This card also qualifies for Danni's Flutter By Wednesday...finally I got a chance to use butterflies so I can enter! If you join in and link up to her Flutterby posts this month, you will be entered to win a prize there too!
New meets old with this card...old stamps (yay me!) and new paper. I couldn't help myself when Michael's had paper pads on sale for 50% off a few weeks ago. I snapped up quite a few 6x6 pads to try out. Making Memories has come out with some really cute papers! In my commitment to using my tools more, I used the Cricut to cut the ovals and the CM circle punch for the flowers.
Stamps: Butterfly of Happiness (Stampin Up)
Ink: Bordering Blue, So Saffron (Stampin Up)
Paper: Chloe's Closet (Making Memories)
Accessories: Copic Marker Y38, George cartridge (Cricut), circle punch (Creative Memories), prima flowers, threading water punch (Fiskars), clear spica copic pen, ribbon (from my stash)
Thanks so much for looking! I've got plenty more to work on, so I'll be back later!

Roses on Paper Challenge #3
I finally joined in on the challenges over at Roses on Paper's Challenge Blog. This week it's a color challenge and you have to use white, evergreen & grape. You can enter your challenge card HERE.
This is my first card with a Magnolia image, I think it turned out cute! The image (which I got from a friend) is probably better suited for a larger card but I already had the base cut so I went with it. Hopefully you can see the sparkle in the image, I used my Sakura Stardust pen on Tilda's wings and the swirls and I used the copic spica pens on the flowers and Tilda's hair bow. I colored the rest of her in with my prismacolor pencils and attempted to shade her hair a bit.
Recipe:
Stamps: Tilda (not sure of the image name since I got in as a RAK), CTMH Say it in Style
Paper: The Paper Company
Ink: Orchid Opulence (Stampin Up)
Accessories: corner rounder (Stampin Up), copic spica pens, prismacolor pencils, prima flowers, Sakura Stardust pen
