SnC CCC ~ Day 13

Hi!

Yesterday's prompt for the Christmas card challenge was paper piecing...so I took a big step and dusted off my Cricut to tackle the challenge!

I cut this cute Santa from the Doodlecharms cartridge at approx. 3 inches tall.  I "dressed" him up a bit using my D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder on his beard and I added some fun flock to his hat.

I just love how this turned out!

I used the current sketch challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy for my card layout~

White on White

White on White...that is this week's Flutter By Wednesday challenge! Your image may have color but the rest of your card/project must be ALL white! As always you must include a butterfly, fairy or angel!

I have to say this was TOUGH for me!!!! I procrastinated until the very last minute LOL! I settled on using Snowflake Lily weeks ago since I've had the digi printed out for a long time but then I just couldn't figure out what to do with her! I finally decided to create a little snow scene since here in the Northeast I've been dealing with a lot of snow, more to come later today!

I used my polka dots cuttlebug folder for the background and then added a few Martha Stewart punched snowflakes (punched from PTI shimmer cardstock) and some misc. clear gems from my stash. I wanted to keep the card on the lighter side so I colored Lily's hair blonde and her outfit with BV000 and BV11. Added some fun flock to her coat and lots of Smooch Illuminate to make everything sparkle (bummer...it's not showing up at all in the pic!).

You can link up your 'White on White' challenge HERE and for more inspiration, please visit the rest of the FBW team. Links are on my left sidebar!

Have a great day!

Ipodabella

The Bella love fest continues!

I found this cute sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and thought it would be fun to pair it up with Ipodabella. I altered it just slightly by leaving a sentiment off since I'm using it for a swap and I'd like the recipient to be able to use it for what they choose.

Here is my take ~

Card Details~
Stamps: Ipodabella ~ Stamping Bella
Paper: BG Lemonade
Ink: Memento
Copics: E00, E27, E29, YG95, B97
Other: Nesties Labels 10, BG Bling It, fun flock, Sassy Pink Smooch

Off to do a little grocery shopping and then it will be back to the craft table after dinner!

It's a Bella Sunday!

Danni and I challenged each other to use our bella stamps from Stamping Bella today, just bellas for today, not the other cutie patootie lines. We are going to each make at least 2 cards using some fab stamps that haven't seen ink yet.

I picked out a bunch of stamps last night and naturally couldn't decide which one to ink up first LOL. This morning I had a brilliant idea to use this week's recipe challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long. I had such a fun time putting this card together!!! I really love how it turned out :)

Card Details ~
Stamps: Jinglebella ~ Stamping Bella, Studio G sentiment
Paper: PTI Kraft, Pure Poppy, Stampers Select White, BG Eskimo Kisses
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Rhubarb Stalk
Copics: Eoo, R29, YG67, E29
Other: American Crafts ric rac, misc. buttons, candy cane & gold stickles, gold spica pen, white fun flock, mini pop dots

Now I need to decide what to use next! I'll be back later with a 2nd card!

Smile

Butterflies make me smile, so when I saw this stamp from the CC Designs line at All That Scraps, I just had to have it!

I paper pieced this cutie a few weeks ago and finally made a card using it today. The colors are for a challenge I hosted on one of the yahoo groups I belong to - purple, white & gray. It sounded easier than it was lol. The layout is the sketch challenge for this week over at For Fun Challenges, mine isn't exact, but I think it's pretty close :)

Card Supplies~
Stamps: Butterfly Baby Bunnies ~ CC Designs; Celebration of Thanks ~ Verve Stamps
Paper: Basic Grey Kioshi
Ink: Memento
Copics: RV32, V15, Y32, ROO
Other: MS monarch butterfly punch, Recollections pearls, Stampendous fun flock, cuttlebug folder, ribbon ~ Michaels, Marvy Extra Giga scallop oval punch, Zig writer, Tombow glue pen, lilac spica pen

I hope you all had a good weekend! It was great here, just too short!!!

Unscripted Sketches + 4 more challenges

I created this card last night for a baby shower I went to this afternoon....the baby's room is a monkey theme, so I was thrilled to find this adorable monkey in my stash of baby stamps :)

Doesn't this green ribbon remind you of a vine? I thought it was so cute with the stamp...and ribbon was our "weekend crew" theme this weekend. I've still got a ways to go before I make a dent in my stash LOL!

I used yesterday's Unscripted Sketches #43 plus 2 colors from their color challenge.

This card is also entered into the following challenges:

The Pink Elephant #54 - Ribbon
Little Red Wagon #16 - Ribbon
Fab 'N' Funky #11 - It's Childish
My Time to Craft #79 - Green Plus One

Squigglefly Challenge #36

Good morning!

It's Challenge #36 over at the Squigglefly Blog and Maria has challenged us to use an animal on our card/project.

How cute is this bunny? This is Flower Bunny illustrated by Ashley Summers. I wanted to keep the card flat for mailing so I layered the card with Basic Grey Sugar Rush and used my Labels 8 nestabilities and the large deckled rectangles and if you click to make the picture bigger, you can see his cute cottonball tail that I added fun flock to. I then stamped the sentiment right on my image.

To play along and be eligible for the prize, please use an animal theme and make sure to use a Squigglefly image on your card/project and link it to the Squigglefly blog! For more inspiration, please visit the other design team members, links on my left sidebar.

Have a happy day! I know I will as I'm off from work so I can scrap all day :)

Christmas Magnolia Blog Hop!

Good morning!

If you've hopped here from Jenn's blog, then you are in the right place! If you just happened to stop by, please start the Magnolia Christmas hop at Julie's blog!

For my card, I am using Santa Edwin...at least I think that is his name. I got him in an image chain last summer.

I got to use my Basic Grey Wassail for the first time, I bought it when it came out and then misplaced it lol! I think my favorite part of the card is all the fun flock on Santa's suit.

Your next stop on the hop is Lauren. Hope you are having a good time!

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Magnolia
Paper: Basic Grey Wassail
Copics: E00, C1, Y15, E57, N7, R89

Be Mine

My first card of the day is using Be Mine Cocoa from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps. Isn't he adorable? I won him as blog candy on Sandy's blog and couldn't wait to use him.

It's um...rather pink, I like pink and all, but I think it might be a bit overboard LOL! I used this week's Sweet Stop Sketch and flipped it so that the dp went the right way. I added some fun flock to Cocoa's nose and the heart of the envelope. So glad I found these mini heart brads in my stash to use! That's 20 brads in 2 cards...only 20,000 brads to finish using up! {giggle}

Here is the sketch -

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Be Mine Cocoa ~ Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps, Love of My Life ~ CTMH
Paper: DCWV, PTI Raspberry Fizz, Paper Co.
Ink: Memento
Copics: E41, T3, RV11, RV14

Flutter By Wednesday #88

Hello and welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday!

We have a special treat for you today, we are using a sketch by Mercy of Lord Have Mercy. I had such fun with it!

Here is my card ~

This is Holly Fairy from Paper Makeup Stamps, I think she is so cute! It took me longer to color her than to get the rest of the card done, including picking out the paper LOL. I really love how she looks though. To keep the card relatively flat, I embellished the image with stickles and fun flock. And oops, almost forgot to add the embellie in the corner! I realized it when I was about to take the picture, so I added a petaloo dazzler, so sparkly!!

And here is the sketch ~
If you'd like to play along with us, please use the above sketch with a butterfly, fairy or angel and link your card to Danni's blog.

To see more inspiration using this sketch, please visit my Flutter By team members, their links are on my left sidebar or you can check out our new home, Flutter By Wednesdays. Don't forget to sign up to follow the site, we'll start having our challenges there in January!

Have a happy fluttering day!

Pink Christmas

I spent the weekend making Christmas cards (1o altogether - some single, some multiples) and this is one of them.

I finally used my Squigglefly Shy Bear - Ornament Bear, isn't she adorable? I thought she would look good in pink, so I found this K & Company paper that I bought last year after Christmas. It's called Peppermint Twist :)

The layout is this week's Card Positioning Systems' sketch #146.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Shy Bear - Ornament Bear ~ Squigglefly, Amuse Holiday Greetings
Paper: Brenda Walton Peppermint Twist ~ K & Company, misc cardstock
Ink: Memento, SU Ruby Red
Copics: E35, RV11, Rv34
Accessories: ribbon (Michaels), gold spica pen, fun flock, zig 2 way glue

Thanks for looking! Once I photograph the rest of the cards, I'll share them throughout the week!

On the 5th Day of Christmas

Hi friends!

Sorry I'm so late with my Christmas post today. I had a very busy morning and afternoon, and then a lazy evening spent watching TV. Did anyone watch the Hallmark movie "Mrs. Miracle". It was based on Debbie Macomber's book and it was so cute! I really enjoyed it.

Here is the quick card that I whipped up after the movie. I found my fun flock to use on Santa's beard :)

During commercials, I checked The Daily Dare for today's challenges and found this SFYTT sketch to use, one of my favorite sites to play along with.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Candy Cane Santa ~ Hero Arts, Holiday Greetings ~ Amuse
Paper: DCWV, PTI, Paper Co.
Ink: Memento
Copics: R46, R89, N7, R01, R20
Accessories: Marvy punches, fun flock, spica glitter pen, Stampin Up ticket punch

Sweet Treats

When one of my card groups suggested a cupcake swap, I jumped right in to sign up. I adore cupcakes. They are so much fun to eat and to use on cards!

I incorporated two challenges into my card - Paperplay Challenges #23 - Sweet Treats and the sketch challenge over at Our Creative Corner.

If I had to pick one favorite thing about this card, it would be the fun flock on the cupcake. I always forget to use it! I'm glad I don't have to pick only one favorite since I really love what I made - my favorite color combo, ribbon & stickles, what could be better? :P

The Recipe:
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes ~ Stampin' Up
Paper: GP, Creative Imaginations (brown), pink (stash)
Ink: Rich Cocoa ~ Memento, Copics ~ R81, E25, E27
Accessories: Think Pink Fun Flock ~ Stampendous, stardust stickles, corner punch ~ EK Success, ribbon ~ American Crafts

Thanks for visiting!

Flutter By Wednesday #52

Its Flutter By Wednesday #52!! Danni has been doing these challenges for a whole year now, be sure to go visit her blog and leave her some love!

Starting this week, you can use butterflies and FAIRIES!! Also, its an "open week", no special challenge. So in honor of being able to use fairies, I created a fairy card to share with you all today.

But first, let me tell you a few things. Our featured team member this week is Cassie and the guest designer is Lynn from The Queen's Scene. You can click on their names to visit their blogs or check out their cards on Danni's blog. You can also visit my fellow flutter by team members by checking out their links on my left sidebar.

Here is my card:
I am so very proud of this card! The sketch is from Little Paper Shop. I used Kirsten from Paper Makeup Stamps and am very impressed with how nice and clean they stamp. I incorporated a lot of details into the image. I paper pieced her shirt and leg warmers, used fun flock on the dandelion and Angel Wings Shimmerz on her wings, although the sparkle isn't picked up in the picture.

I used Copics to color her in and am very pleased with how she turned out. I incorporated some of what I learned a few weeks ago in a Copic 101 class. I think my practicing is paying off :o)

The Recipe:
Stamps: Kirsten ~ Paper Makeup Stamps
Paper: DCWV, GP, Paper Company
Ink: Tuxedo Black ~ Memento, Copics (see above)
Accessories: Fun Flock ~ Stampendous, Angel Wings Shimmerz, prima flower, brad (American Crafts)

If you play along, please link to Danni's blog or use keyword FBW if you upload to SCS or PCP.
