52 Week Challenge - Week #3

I put my 52 Week Challenge layout together tonight...took me what seemed like forever LOL!

I knew I wanted to use this sketch from Artful Delight (designed by our SNC leader Abby!)

I finally decided to scrap some pictures from this past Christmas and it's the first time I got to use my new printer! My friend Suzy got an awesome printer and since she loved it, I decided to use a gift card to get my own. No more running to the pharmacy for just a picture or two to scrap!

All supplies except the kraft paper and Thickers are from the October Afternoon Holiday Style collection. Initially I wasn't going to get any but one day I went to the LSS and they had it in stock - it just jumped into my basket, I swear!  I also got those cool stitched Thickers that day - I think I need more even though I only opened the package tonight. The kraft paper is MME Funday and I took it from my Artful Delight January kit. I like that it has a light pattern to it so I could still journal on it and it broke up having so many busy patterns.

It's supposed to start snowing overnight! I hope to get some good pictures tomorrow to scrap!

Skating by to say Hi for FBW #176

It's time to flutter!

This week's Flutter By Wednesdays Challenge is open, just remember to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation. You can enter {HERE} and also we have a guest designer this week! Her name is Amanda and you can see her creation on the FBW blog and say hello to her at her blog {HERE}. You can see the rest of the FBW team's samples by visiting the links on my sidebar.

I am so in love with my card this week!  I've made lots of cards with no coloring lately and it was like getting back on a bicycle with my copics LOL!

This cutie pie is Roll With It from the MFT Pure Innocence line. She was so happy to finally see ink and I even gave her a sidewalk! I used the current Sketches by Carly which I've posted below. One of the baskets I filled with paper is one collection from each company that I have paper from...in hopes that I can try to use some of it up! This paper is from the American Crafts City Park line. I thought it was perfect for this image!

Since I want to use paper up, I decorated the inside of the card too :)

Here is Carly's sketch. As you can see, I flipped it. I love all the layers!

Thanks for fluttering by! I'll be back later this morning with my Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past hop card!

Your Choice @ PaperCutz this week!

Easy challenge this week at Paper Cutz!

YOUR CHOICE - make a card, layout or craft project with any theme/colors you'd like!

I created a congratulations card for one of my co-workers that had a baby boy a few weeks ago. I used my favorite baby set from Stampin' Up - Cuddles & Tickles. I picked it up at a scrapbook store tag sale a few years ago and always turn to it when I need to make baby cards!

I used this FTL sketch for a starting point~

PTT #24

Happy Tuesday!

Today's Party Time Tuesdays challenge is to create a birthday card and include one or more balloons on it (plus the required birthday wording on your card front!).

Now when I envisioned my card, I really thought I'd be using birthday balloons....but in my messy room, the Unity Love in the Air set was the first one that I came across with a balloon in it....even more perfect is I found this American Crafts City Park paper. Love how this turned out!

PTT #18

Happy Tuesday!

I finally have a PTT card to share with you all!

This week's challenge is a color challenge, when I was coming up with challenges I thought it would be fun to name some of them after cakes so this one is called "Carrot Cake Challenge" and the colors that should be used are orange, brown and white/ivory and don't forget the birthday wording on the front of your card!

I created this card for my FIL's birthday on Sunday. The paper is from the SEI Moonrise collection, the leaf was cut from the Stretch Your Imagination cricut cartridge and the sentiment is from the Paper Makeup Stamps Birthday Cheer set.

I used an FTL layout from last week~

Miss Island Pixie

Are you enjoying World Card Making Day? I'm trying to...this cold is slowing me down!

I did make a layout earlier, you'll see that tomorrow morning :)

Danni issued a challenge to me yesterday...to use some of the many digi stamps I have printed! She will have a few cards posted tomorrow, so be sure to check her out HERE.

This is the stack of digis I pulled out this morning...think I have enough to choose from? LOL

I decided to pick an image from the top of the stack, Island Pixie from Pixie Dust Studio - they have so many more cute images since the last time I visited, eek! I need to use, use, use and not buy, buy, buy!

Here is a close up of the sparkle, shine & paper piercing ~ another eek, it's not showing up too well, hopefully if you click on it, you can see it...

Knowing full well I couldn't go with a digi only challenge, I went to my challenge list and incorporated a few more~

Paper Cutz Challenge #60

TGIF!!

Woohoo the weekend is finally here! Lots of plans ~ tomorrow I am doing a 2 mile walk with the local Compassionate Friends organization and then on Sunday, my husband (so fun to say that!!) and I are going to the Big E.

Today's Paper Cutz Challenge is to make a card, LO or craft project using a digital, hand stamped or Cricut cut image of a critter. Use any colors or theme you'd like. Show us your critter love!

For my card, I am using a reindeer from the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge. I received it for a challenge last month but ran out of time to make it then. It's perfect for today's challenge! I just {heart} reindeer and this one is the cutest!

I used one of my new Basic Grey Sizzix embossing folders for the background, have you seen those? So many fun different ones! The designer paper is from the American Crafts Jolly collection and the sentiment is from a Hero Arts stamp set.

Please be sure to link up your critter project to the Paper Cutz Challenge blog and while you are there, check out what the rest of the design team did! You'll be wowed!

Have a GREAT day!!!

Paper Cutz Challenge #58

TGIF!!

Today's Paper Cutz Challenge is to make a card, LO, or craft project using a tag or tags and any colors/theme you'd like. I took a different approach to traditional tags and decided to make a pocket card. The insert is my tag. I really love how it turned out!

Here is a side view with the tag peeking out of the pocket~

and here is the full view of the tag~

The paper is all from the American Crafts Jolly collection. I cut the strip of trees from a scrap leftover from a card. The snowflakes are from an old sheet of stickers and the sentiment is from Amuse.

Now it's your turn. Show us your tags! Please link your creation using tags to the Paper Cutz Challenge blog by next Thursday and while you are there check out all the wonderful samples from the Design Team!

Have a fantastic weekend!! I'll be working on lots of wedding details and hopefully getting some crafty time in!

TE Blast from the Past Hop #3

Welcome to another fun filled Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Hop!

We have another great sketch from Sankari this month~

My card uses my favorite TE Christmas set ~ Season's Sweetings

My favorite part of this card is the trim on the tree. I finally opened up my sparkly fluff, if you click on the picture you should be able to see the sparkle :)

The paper is from my American Crafts Jolly stack, love the sparkle and shine on the paper....it just doesn't show up well in photos.

I hope you enjoy hopping around today, I can't wait to check it out tonight!

Be Merry, Be Bright

Here is today’s Christmas card, I just love how it came out! I inked up an American Art Stamp (Gingerbread Man) from my uninked stash of stamps and used Jolly dp by American Crafts, it’s so sparkly (except it’s not showing good in the photo, sorry!)  I found the adorable gingerbread men brads when I was unpacking a few weeks ago :)

Xmas EDCC17

I used this week’s Midnight Madness sketch and am also entering it into The Paper Variety’s Christmas card challenge.

It's a Bella Sunday!

Danni and I challenged each other to use our bella stamps from Stamping Bella today, just bellas for today, not the other cutie patootie lines. We are going to each make at least 2 cards using some fab stamps that haven't seen ink yet.

I picked out a bunch of stamps last night and naturally couldn't decide which one to ink up first LOL. This morning I had a brilliant idea to use this week's recipe challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long. I had such a fun time putting this card together!!! I really love how it turned out :)

Card Details ~
Stamps: Jinglebella ~ Stamping Bella, Studio G sentiment
Paper: PTI Kraft, Pure Poppy, Stampers Select White, BG Eskimo Kisses
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Rhubarb Stalk
Copics: Eoo, R29, YG67, E29
Other: American Crafts ric rac, misc. buttons, candy cane & gold stickles, gold spica pen, white fun flock, mini pop dots

Now I need to decide what to use next! I'll be back later with a 2nd card!

Dust off your stamps & my news!

{please scroll down for my Flutter By Wednesday post}

The wait is over...I can share my news!

I have been chosen to be a design team member for For Fun Challenges! Thank you so much for this opportunity, Helen!

This week's challenge is to dust off your stamps (no digis allowed) and to include the following recipe: 1 image, 2 colors with white or black, and 3 embellies!

I dusted off one of my favorite Stamping Bella stamps to use for today's challenge. I've been neglecting the bellas for far too long!

I used up some scraps (except for the red) from a bunch of cards I made this weekend, and no sketch, how about that! LOL

Stamps: Cuppacakeabella ~ Stamping Bella
Paper: DCWV from ages ago, misc. cardstock from stash
Ink: Memento
Copics: RV11, RV32, RV34, R46
Other: red spica pen, American Crafts ric rac, prima flower & brad from stash

Squigglefly Challenge #48 with a sneak peek!

You're in for a treat today!

It's Squigglefly Challenge #48 and with it I've used a new image that will be released on Saturday. It's called Hang On by Jackie Mathews.

Now back to the challenge...Maria issued an embossing challenge, wet or dry. Since I am not a big fan of my heat gun, I chose to use dry embossing. I absolutely adore the scene I created here. I thought the 'water' was a great idea and it turned out just as good as I had hoped!

Card Details ~
Stamps: Hang On by Jackie Mathews ~ Squigglefly, sentiment from The Angel Company
Paper: Basic Grey Granola
Ink: Memento
Other: copics, cuttlebug distressed stripes & tiny bubbles folders, American Crafts brad

So what are you waiting for? Go emboss something using a Squigglefly image and enter it into the challenge! If you use a Squigglefly image, you'll be entered to win a prize! For more inspiration, please visit my fellow DT members listed on my left sidebar!
