Paper Cutz Challenge #58

TGIF!!

Today's Paper Cutz Challenge is to make a card, LO, or craft project using a tag or tags and any colors/theme you'd like. I took a different approach to traditional tags and decided to make a pocket card. The insert is my tag. I really love how it turned out!

Here is a side view with the tag peeking out of the pocket~

and here is the full view of the tag~

The paper is all from the American Crafts Jolly collection. I cut the strip of trees from a scrap leftover from a card. The snowflakes are from an old sheet of stickers and the sentiment is from Amuse.

Now it's your turn. Show us your tags! Please link your creation using tags to the Paper Cutz Challenge blog by next Thursday and while you are there check out all the wonderful samples from the Design Team!

Have a fantastic weekend!! I'll be working on lots of wedding details and hopefully getting some crafty time in!

Paper Cutz Challenge #57

TGIF!!!

This is my first challenge as a DT Member for Paper Cutz! So excited to share my card with you!

This week's challenge is to make a card, LO or craft project using 1 ribbon, 2 buttons and 3 colors on any theme you’d like.

I must admit the 3 colors thing got me hung up for awhile, I'm so used to incorporating lots of colors that to just pick 3? Torture LOL!! After debating with myself, I went with a Christmas theme. Can't go wrong with red, white & green!

{if you click on the picture, you should hopefully see the sparkly ornaments!}

Here is the sketch I used~

We'd love to see what you do with this recipe! Please link your challenge card to the Paper Cutz challenge blog and check out all the wonderful inspiration from my fellow DT members! Their links are also on my left sidebar.

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Fluffles Baubles ~ Stampendous; sentiment ~ Amuse Holiday Greetings
Paper: Basic Grey Wassail
Ink: Memento
Copics: R59, R89, E41, BG96, BG99
Other: Large Deckled Rectangles Nestabilities, misc. ribbon & buttons from stash, Smooch Illuminate

Have a great day! I'm excited for the long weekend, lots of wedding details to wrap up!

Get Sketchy with CSAYL!

Despite my feeling poorly the last few weeks, I’ve not given up on the Scrappin-n-Chattin EDCC yet, yay me!  I found oodles of Sandylion 3D stickers that I bought a few years ago and challenged myself to use them up, so I’ve been able to make quick cards with them every day.  I made this the other day and finally had a few minutes to sit down and post it since I am feeling much better today.  I started a vitamin supplement the other day and it seems to be helping!

I created this card using this week’s Get Sketchy #51 and the challenge at Christmas Stampin All Year Long to use 2 or more designer papers.

I just {heart} snowglobes! They are so fun to shake up and watch the snow fall :)  I thought they’d be perfect for the sketch.

It’s time for me to go make today’s card!  TFL!

Winter Pup

3rd post of the day - scroll down to see what you missed!

One last card before bed...Scrappin-N-Chattin (a great yahoo group) is hosting a Christmas EDCC (everday card challenge) this month. This is card #7, I've not had the time to post the others and I was also thinking I might save them for my 25 Days of Christmas in December, so you'll have some inspiration while working on your own Christmas cards.

I decided to play along with the Stampin' B's challenge this week - use a dog image.

I used this week's Unscripted Sketch~

Card Supplies~
Stamps: Winter Pup ~ Hero Arts; Amuse Holiday Greetings
Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Ink: Memento
Copics: E33
Other: siren & moonlight smooch, provocraft snowflake stickers

Christmas in July Day 2

A super simple card for today! It's been a fun, but long day here. We went to visit my nieces (ages 2 yrs. and 2 months), lots of pics were taken to scrap! I also went to an LSS up near them that I don't go to often and found some fun paper for our home renovation album.

I saw this sketch last week on Clean & Simple and decided to use it for today's card.

Here's my take~

I used more of the Wassail BG pad that's still out on my desk, inked the edges with Memento Rhubarb Stalk and stamped the sentiment (Amuse) with it also.

Tomorrow is another fun day, I get to go pick up my wedding dress! I'll keep it for about a month before bringing it back for alterations, after that I will be making cupcakes and scrapping!

TFL!

Pink Christmas

I spent the weekend making Christmas cards (1o altogether - some single, some multiples) and this is one of them.

I finally used my Squigglefly Shy Bear - Ornament Bear, isn't she adorable? I thought she would look good in pink, so I found this K & Company paper that I bought last year after Christmas. It's called Peppermint Twist :)

The layout is this week's Card Positioning Systems' sketch #146.

Stamp: Shy Bear - Ornament Bear ~ Squigglefly, Amuse Holiday Greetings
Paper: Brenda Walton Peppermint Twist ~ K & Company, misc cardstock
Ink: Memento, SU Ruby Red

On the 5th Day of Christmas

Hi friends!

Sorry I'm so late with my Christmas post today. I had a very busy morning and afternoon, and then a lazy evening spent watching TV. Did anyone watch the Hallmark movie "Mrs. Miracle". It was based on Debbie Macomber's book and it was so cute! I really enjoyed it.

Here is the quick card that I whipped up after the movie. I found my fun flock to use on Santa's beard :)

During commercials, I checked The Daily Dare for today's challenges and found this SFYTT sketch to use, one of my favorite sites to play along with.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Candy Cane Santa ~ Hero Arts, Holiday Greetings ~ Amuse
Paper: DCWV, PTI, Paper Co.
Ink: Memento
Copics: R46, R89, N7, R01, R20
Accessories: Marvy punches, fun flock, spica glitter pen, Stampin Up ticket punch

Thanks for looking!

On the 4th Day of Christmas

I have two cards to share with you. Now how does that happen when I don't have any cards ready for Days 5-25 yet?? Well I had a sketch in mind when I made the first card and then when I saw part of the dp cut out for the 2nd card, it just worked out not to follow the sketch and to use the dp as my embellishing.

Meet Tilda with Hood...images are from an image swap I was in earlier this year. So glad I saved them to use for Christmas.

Here are the cards:
(You should be able to click on the picture to make it bigger!)

This is the sketch that I used for the first card:

Ok, so I made these cards a month ago at a crop. I saved the glitter for when I was home since I didn't want to get messy in someone else's house. I initially tried Flower Soft for the coat trim and it looked stupid...I really don't know how to use it and it frustrates the heck out of me! I tried using the quickie glue pen, the Zig 2 way pen and then I put stickles on and put the flower soft on top of it...yuck, yuck and yuck. I was able to scrape it off and just put stickles on. I guess I need to look up some FS tutorials because I was really hoping to use some on my Christmas cards! I do have some white flocking that would have worked...if I knew where it was lol.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Tilda with hood ~ Magnolia Stamps; sentiments ~ Amuse Holiday Greetings
Paper: DCWV, misc. cardstock
Ink: Memento for the sentiments
Copics: E00, N5, N7, R81, E35, E25, E27, R46
Accessories: prima flowers, frosted lace stickles, Stampin Up ticket punch, brads from my stash

Thanks for looking. I'll be back later with a birthday card to share.

On the 1st Day of Christmas

Welcome to my 2nd annual 25 Days of Christmas!

I had so much fun doing this last year that I decided to do it again this year. I started making cards about a month ago to showcase throughout the 25 Days of Christmas.

Today's card I like to call "Beary Christmas". I got this image from someone else last Christmas, so I don't know his actual name or manufacturer. If you know, please leave it in the comments section!
I used SC249 for the layout, along with DCWV paper from one of the many Christmas stacks I own. The adorable buttons are from a big mixed pack of round/shaped buttons that I got last year at Michaels on clearance.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Image from someone else, sentiment from AMuse Holiday Greetings
Paper: DCWV, Paper Company
Copics: E25, E27, R81, YG17
Accessories: Nestabilities Labels 4, buttons, stardust pen

Come back tomorrow to Day #2 and Flutter By Wednesday!

On the 20th Day of Christmas...

I almost forgot to post! LOL

I blogged so much earlier that I took and break and then completely forgot about my daily card!

The image used is a House Mouse that I got from the image swap that I hosted. This card is for my boyfriend's parents and I think it turned out awesome! And for those that don't know...the top to the Glossy Accents comes off, I learned that lesson the hard (and messy) way! LOL!!

Here is a close up of the candle & marshmallow - I had fun shading it to make it look "toasted". You can slightly see the shine on the candle holder. It looks cool IRL.

Stamps: House Mouse, Holiday Greetings (AMuse)
Paper: DCWV
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Handsome Hunter (Stampin Up)
Accessories: prismacolor pencils, Marvy markers, brad (unknown), copic spica yellow pen, corner rounder (Stampin Up)
