Go Green with Birthday Sundaes!

Good morning!  Did you remember to turn your clocks ahead?  I am so excited about it staying lighter later!

Today's Birthday Sundaes challenge is to create a birthday card and USE GREEN on it! Don't forget a birthday sentiment/wording on your card front.

This week we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps - check out all the details {HERE}!

Here is my creation for the week, a very quick and easy card. Some stickers, punches, paper and I quickly whipped this up.

It's not my favorite ever but I didn't have time to color an image and I didn't want to skip another week. The paper is from the K&Company Poppyseed paper pad.

Lots to do today so off I go! Hoping to get in my craft room after I get some housework done!

Flutter By Wednesdays #185

Happy Wednesday!

We were so happy to see so many fluttery entries last week. It's good to be back! I enjoyed fluttering around seeing so much inspiration!

This week's Flutter By Wednesdays challenge is to use BRIGHT COLORS along with your butterfly, fairy or angel. Please enter your creation {HERE}. To see what the FBW team did with bright colors, visit the links on the FBW blog or the links on my sidebar.

Here is my take on the challenge~

I think I achieved the bright alright! LOL!  I used my Cosmo Cricket Delovely 6x6 pad and Papertrey Ink black cardstock along with one of my favorite butterfly punches :)

I used this week's CPS sketch for inspiration. I couldn't find my corner rounder so I decided to tear and ink the edges of the 4 square panel. I also popped up each square with pop dots but didn't end up taking a picture to show off the dimension.

I am also sharing my card with the following challenge:
Shopping Our Stash #34 - All That Glitters, Sparkles or Shines - everything on my card is from older stash and I'm glad I found these rhinestones that shine :)

Thanks for fluttering by!

Good morning!

If you're here from Tina's blog (isn't her door hanger cute!), you're in the right spot! If you just happened to stop by, well hello there...if you'd like to see all the wintry wonders created by the PMS team, please start the hop at the Paper Makeup Stamps blog {HERE}. Don't forget that PMS still has their rubber stamp closeout sale going on - use the code CLOSEOUT45 to get 45% off of your rubber stamp order!

For this hop, I decided to use the adorable Pete who was just itching to be inked up and colored! Seeing as I've not colored in weeks, I think he turned out pretty good :)  I used my Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather paper, love the soft colors of them!

Your next stop on the hop is Anita, just wait til you see what she made with Nole!

Challenges entered:
Cards and More - Snowflakes

Stars, Circle and Diamonds, Oh My!

TGIF! Any big plans for the weekend?  I hope to get some crafting & cleaning in my craft room done. I moved my desk last weekend and it makes a huge difference since I'm closer to the lighting but now I have a big mess to clean up LOL! Well several since every time I make a change, I've never finished cleaning it up! I'd rather spend my time crafting!

This week's PaperCutz Challenge is to make a card, layout or project for Halloween and to use circles, stars or diamonds.  Click {HERE} to enter your creation and check out the great DT samples!

Right away I knew what paper I wanted to use, I've had this Cosmo Cricket Matilda paper since it came out and haven't touched it. I also incorporated the House Mouse color challenge of orange, yellow, black and green after seeing my bloggy friend Vicki's card on Monday. It's been ages since I've played with my mousies! The mousie is from my stash of HM images and the sentiment is from the Happy Haunting set by My Craft Spot. The ribbon is from Walmart.

For the layout of the card I played along with My Time Made Easy Pretty Patterns #31 which is to choose a sketch from challenges #13-18.  I chose #17, pictured below.

This card will also be entered into these challenges:
Going Grey with Scrap Creations: Halloween
Everybody Art #163: Halloween
Clear It Out Tuesday: Halloween + Old Supplies

Cooking It Up with Katie #73

Today is Wednesday, it's time for Cooking It Up with Katie!

Our challenge this week includes the following recipe:
  • Sticker (I used Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type stickers)
  • Bling (I swear the brads are sparkly!)
  • Pink
And we have two sponsors for you!  MelJens Designs (who provided us with some fun images to use) and Pizazz A Plenty.  Please check out the Cooking It Up with Katie blog to see all the sponsor details and DT samples and to enter your creation!

Here is my sample card using Book Girl.

I absolutely LOVE how she is colored - I really took my time and the results show.  I was beginning to think that I was losing my coloring abilities but it turns out that rushing is my problem and this power outage taught me to slow down so I can enjoy the process more.  I also think that when I get back into my room (I've been working in the dining room), I'm going to move my desk to a better angle so I can enjoy the natural light more (for the times I actually get to enjoy daylight).

I used this sketch from PaperWorks Co for my card:

Supply List~
Stamps: MelJens Designs Book Girl digi image
Paper: Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush cardstock, Echo Park Paper For the Record, image was printed on Copic Xpress Blend it cardstock
Other: copics, Making Memories brads, Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type stickers

Down on the Farm with PaperCutz, a TE sketch & some PCC news!

This week's PaperCutz Challenge is one I had fun with!  The theme is Down on the Farm, we'd like you to create a card, layout or project using something you'd find on a farm - animals, fruits, veggies, farm equipment, scarecrows, etc.  You can enter your creation {HERE} and while you are there check out the rest of the DT's samples!

Do you want to be part of an awesome Design Team? Mary is just wonderful to work with! PCC would like to add 4 new members, you can check out all the details in {THIS POST}

My take on the challenge~

I had fun getting inky on this card. I inked a few of the layers with Colorbox Chestnut Roan chalk ink and I used tissue paper to sponge the same ink onto the image so the piggies would look like they were in mud - so fun!

My card layout is the current Taylored Expression sketch challenge. The stamps on my card are also from TE, Udderly Sweet.

Supply List~
Taylored Expressions Udderly Sweet stamp set
Copic Xpress Blend It cardstock
Colored cardstock (from TE Project Pantry kit)
Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety dp (from TE Project Pantry kit)
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Colorbox Chestnut Roan chalk ink
Zig .01 writer (to darken the 2nd line of the sentiment)
Making Memories flower & button

Flutter By Wednesday #160

I can't believe we are at 160 FBW challenges!

Today's challenge is an open one - just remember to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation. This week we are sponsored by Through the Craftroom Door - click HERE to enter your project and to check out the prize details!

Here is my creation ~ a layout of my niece. Pictures are from my bridal shower last August. While I was opening gifts, she decided to go play in my friend's dog's toy bin and I had my sister snap a few pics.

The layout is based on an old Sassy Lil Sketches layout, I had it printed in my crop file and didn't write the date of the sketch on it. The paper is from the My Mind's Eye So Sophie line. I had fun mixing and matching the patterns that were included in the collection. The flowers and butterfly are from Prima.

PaperCutz Challenge #82 - Color Challenge!

TGIF!

We have a color challenge for you at PaperCutz today.  We want to see red, blue, yellow, black and white ONLY on your project!  Surprisingly I actually found this pretty easy, I didn't think I would lol!

Basic Grey has an awesome line called JuneBug and it has all of these colors, unfortunately I couldn't find my paper pad but I was able to make a card just using the Woolies embellishments and created a CAS card. I like it! The background was embossed with a Sizzix folder.

I used a CAS layout from one of my favorites sites, you can see it HERE.

To play along with PaperCutz, please click HERE. You can also check out more inspiration from the DT using the links on my left sidebar!

Have a great day!

Lasting Memories Challenge #28

Sigh...the weekend is almost over :(

But the good news is I have a new Lasting Memories challenge to share with you!

"You're the Boss"
Please show us your unique style!

And........we have a sponsor for you!!

Original Digital Stamps

You can win one of three prizes, check out all the details HERE
and see how the design team used images generously provided by our sponsor!

Here is my take on the challenge.  I really loved using the Journal Set #2 from Tiffany's Doodles! You can see 2 of the photo corners on each picture and well as the journaling spot.  How fun to be able to color it to match anything you are working on! Now that I noticed it, I should have colored the photo corners too.

I took these pics the day we adopted Amber.
We had to wait for a vet to check her out before we could leave. To me that means photo op!

I used last week's Creative Scrappers sketch, however I did rotate it to suit my pictures.

Now show us how 'You're the Boss"!!

Layout Details: Basic Grey Max & Whiskers paper, bloomers, chipboard; Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type letters, misc. letter stickers, Storybook Cricut cartridge (for the scalloped circle), Journal Set #2 from Tiffany's Doodles

A different kind of card for me...

I have been a busy bee today! I'm hanging out at a friend's house crafting and have made 8 cards, starting to lose a little steam now so she suggested I blog one of my cards :)

I created this card for The Paper Variety Sew Much Fun challenge - thankfully faux sewing is allowed since I can't sew to save my life LOL.  I decided to incorporate a sewing theme as well.

I found the Hero Arts Sew Artsy set at a LSS on sale and bought it a few weeks ago and then the fabulous flower you see above is from Precocious Paper, an awesome Etsy shop selling handmade flowers.  These petals are from the DIY Sewing Pattern Petals kit, I really liked making my own flower.  The cool brad, ribbon & pins are from a Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit from a few months ago and the paper is Material Girl by Cosmo Cricket.  This was definitely out of my element but I really LOVE the results!

Are you having fun on the hop?  I hope so, I can't wait to check it out tonight!

Welcome to my stop on the Blast from the Past Hop!  If you're here Karen's awesome blog, then you're right on track. If not, please start HERE at Taylor's blog.

This month we were challenged to use the color green or to go green on our projects.  I went with the color green and I also used Sankari's fabulous sketch!

I used the Udderly Sweet set along with the Garden Variety Project Pantry kit.  I had a lot of fun making this :)  I think the veggie brads just make the card!

The sketch~

Your next stop on the hop is Natalie. There is also a full list of participants below!

The Toy Graveyard

I'm sure you're all thinking what the heck is she talking about??? LOL

When we first got Amber we got her a bunch of toys not knowing what she would like or what her temperament was....well we quickly found out that she is one heck of a powerful chewer! Even the stuffed toys that said 3x stronger than regular toys didn't hold up lol. I saved all of the toys in a box just so I can take pics for a layout. I couldn't set them up in the box very well so you could see all the injuries and just laid them out on the dining room table.

Here are the poor toys. I used Basic Grey's Max & Whiskers line for everything but the lettering (which is made up of October Afternoon, Thickers and Cosmo Cricket). The sketch is from Nuts about Sketches. I love finding two page layouts holding lots of pics!

(you can click on the picture to see a larger version)

Here is the sketch~
I think that wraps up my weekend of crafting. I've had a few late nights and am too tired to do anything tonight!

Mom's Christmas Gifts

In addition to gifting my mom a few gift cards, I also altered a picture frame and created a web passwords book.

This is the frame...I forget who made it but I've had it for years, bought it at a scrap store that is no longer in business. The picture is of my sister's dog, Jellybean, and my dog, Amber. Yes, I bought them matching dresses LOL! Trying to get them to pose for a picture was quite the task! Mom loved it!

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Other: Basic Grey Pops, Cosmo Cricket letter stickers and misc. letter stickers from my stash

This is the cover of the web passwords book. I covered, inked and embellished the chipboard and then printed THIS template from Taylored Expressions. We haven't decided how to bind it just yet, but she loved it since this shade of green is her favorite!

Paper: Basic Grey Marjolaine
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Other: Basic Grey Pops & letter stickers

My card uses an image from the new Christmas Cheer set, just love these ornaments! Now I bet that those who know me expected to see a fairy right? He he, have to switch it up once in awhile. The embossing is done with a new Sizzix folder and the dp is Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather. I think the gold accents are a nice touch.

Down on the Farm

I made two cards today yay! You'll see the first one on Tuesday for Party Time Tuesdays!

Here is the second card that I created~it's for a Down on the Farm swap. I just had to sign up so that I could use my Taylored Expressions' Udderly Sweet stamp set & Garden Variety Project Pantry kit for the first time! All of the paper (except the brown) and embellishments are from the kit. I went old school too by using decorative scissors for the 'grass'.

I also tried something new, the Cricut Design Studio. I've had the software for about 2 or 3 years and never used it. I cut the fence from the Wall Decor & More cartridge at 2.75 high & 5.5 wide. It was great to be able to set the exact size - not sure why I waited so long to play around with it!

All about Boys with Lollipop Crafts!

Today's Lollipop Crafts challenge is All About Boys! Show us your boy creations!

This week's challenge is sponsored by Limited Runs. This is a new to me company, but wow what cute digis they have. As soon as I looked, I had to buy some cupcake images :)

Here is my card using one of the images sent to us by our sponsor~

I had fun with this card. I cropped the image and cut out the airplanes and popped them up with mini pop dots. The paper is Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride and I thought it went well with this image :)

Be sure to link up your creation to the Lollipop Crafts blog by Saturday night at 8 pm for your chance to win the prize or a Top 3 badge!

Hope you had a fabulous weekend! I know I did, he he he. Wedding details and pictures will be posted soon.
