Aurora with Butterfly

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! I had 3 days off and had fun each and every day!  I did manage to get one card done yesterday but then couldn't upload it since I got a new laptop (yay!!!) and it wouldn't recognize my SD card so we had to change my pics over to a different one this morning.

Back to the card...Danni and I like to challenge each other occasionally to make cards with various stamps/companies since we have a lot of the same things. This weekend we used The Aurora Collections by Victoria Case for SCACD and the color purple.  I have a lot of older stash and purple and never use it.

This is Aurora with Butterfly from the first Aurora Collection. The paper is from my 'older than the hills stash' (a Danni expression lol). BTW, you can see Danni's cards HERE!

I used an older Card Patterns sketch.

I've had this little guy for awhile and kept meaning to get a card made sooner...there's still time to use him if you hand deliver your cards, he he. He is illustrated by Lynne Stansbery for Squigglefly.

I used this week's Card Patterns sketch ~

For the Birds

That's the challenge this week over at the Order of the Opus Gluei!

I decided to make 2 different cards using the Birds of a Feather set by Unity Stamp Company, it's one of my favorite go-to sets for birds. I incorporated textures for the Corrosive Challenge this week too. I always forget to use my cuttlebug folders, I managed to use 3 different ones making these cards.

The first card is for the sketch at I {heart} to Stamp - it's been forever since I played along there!

And this card is for the sketch challenge at Card Patterns, I flipped it to accommodate my image.

Corrosive Copic Creations Card

I love Squigglefly's line of Shy Bears and have finally had a chance to use this adorable Birthday Bear.

Challenge #1 is the Copic Creations challenge - #19 Coloring Fur. Hopefully you can see where I shaded the bear. He's a little dark to begin with so I used T1 all over and then shaded around his ears, fingers and toes with T3.

Challenge #2 is The Corrosive Challenge - #45 - These are a Few of My Favorite Things. Use your two favorite types of embellishments. For me it was a no brainer - flowers & brads! I know you probably thought it was ribbon, right? he he he

I used Card Patterns #32 for the layout -

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Shy Bear Birthday Bear ~ Squigglefly
Paper: DCWV, PTI Raspberry Fizz
Copics: T1, T3, YR16, YG25, V17, RV11
Accessories: prima flowers, brads

Thanks for visiting!
