Mission Organization

Yesterday I went with my mom to IKEA to find some things to use in my craftroom. I'm lucky since she works there and can tell me about all the cool new things that come in.

This is by far the coolest thing in the world ~

I have been looking for a way to display cards that I make and receive and wow, does this thing rock or what. It is meant to hold pictures but since it's just chains and clips, you can hang anything lightweight on there. You can see it on the IKEA site HERE. Since I had a feeling that I would like it, I got a 2nd one that will go on the same wall. I've got tons of cards to display and hope to switch them out every few weeks or at least every month. How fun will it be to have all one holiday to display at once or my birthday cards, oh the possibilities are endless!

This is the 2nd thing that I did ~

I used the same bar that I use to hold my punches and bought hooks that go with it so I can easily display a bunch of my clear/unmounted rubber stamp sets. Hopefully I will use them more since they are a little more easily accessible and I can switch them out seasonally. You can see the bar on the IKEA site HERE.

I also got a cutlery caddy to put on my desk to hold scissors, adhesive, and other small tools that I use frequently. I forgot to take a picture but you can see the caddy on the IKEA site HERE.

Thanks for visiting, come back in the morning for a new Squigglefly challenge!

Scraproom Pictures!

*2nd post of the day - scroll down to see my big news!*

Here are pictures of my scraproom, as promised!

Here is the ribbon wall. Pink containers have stamps, wooden box has small embellishments, glitter, bling and some small memorabilia ready to be scrapped. Shelves have 8.5x11 cardstock, Basic Grey pads and misc stuff.

Closet is waiting for shelves to store paper. Tower has excess ribbon, buttons plus tools, alterable items and some themed embellishments that don't have a permanent home. On this wall here, I hope to eventually put one of the creative wall sayings from Uppercase Living.

Buttons, ribbons and flowers stored by color. Stamps by theme - seasonal, words/sentiments, Valentines, Winter and unmounted in the green containers. Tall case has CTMH stamps, TAC stamps and any other stamps that are in a flat package. And trust me, all the empty jars will be filled soon, just haven't had the time to finish unpacking!

Countertop holds printer, Cricut and when its clean...room for the Cuttlebug or to scrap.
Bins have embellishments stored by season and theme. Cricut cartridges are on the shelves below the Cricut. On my table I added small baskets with paper and stamps that I want to make use of sooner rather than later. I hope to switch them out every few months!

I'll have to add more pictures as things get done...still waiting for shelves to my desk for stamps, I want to put the seasonal stuff within reach and to have something to look at :)

Thanks for touring my room with me!

Flutter By Wednesday #80

Its the 80th Flutter By Wednesday today! Are you ready to flutter with us?

No special challenge this week, just create something using a butterfly or fairy!

Today I am sharing Flutterby Anya with you. She was sent to me by the Queen Flutter By herself, Ms. Danni, isn't she cute!

I used SK091909 - a Paper Craft Planet sketch. I just love using sketches, they are a great starting point when I have no idea what I want to do. I used Labels Four Nestabilities to frame Anya and I edged her with SU Tempting Turquoise ink. She's colored with Copics (E00, R11, RV11, RV14, B02, E25, E27, Y35) and covered in Star Dust stickles. I wanted to use my spica pens, but I haven't a clue which box they are packed in. The dp is Basic Grey Urban Prairie, when I decided on my image, I knew I wanted her to be bright and fun!

Be sure to link to Danni's blog if you play along and visit my dear flutter by mates, links on the left sidebar!

In other exciting news, I have started painting my scraproom! I just love the pink I picked out, is Eddie Bauer Light Pink from Lowes. The trim will still be brown, just a shade lighter than what it is now.

Some more eye candy for you...these were taken at Kent Falls in Kent, CT a few weeks ago.
Thanks for stopping by!
