Flutter By Wednesdays #162 - Inspiration Photo

Happy Wednesday!

We have a fun challenge for you at Flutter By Wednesdays this week.  Danni has selected this lovely inspiration picture for us to use.

Don't forget to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creations!  Click HERE to enter your project.

I loved the picture from the moment I saw it and I knew I wanted to use my TAC Sunflowers stamp set that I bought from Danni a few months ago.  My first idea was to create a card but I couldn't find the stamp set....then I was going to scrap a page from a visit to a sunflower maze a few years ago...I wasn't in the mood to scrap so I decided to make a bookmark since I have been reading a lot lately.  Guess what I found? The stamp set! Yay!

I pulled out some Papertrey Ink cardstock scraps in Simply Chartreuse and Kraft and stamped the sunflowers and butterfly from the TAC set and quotes/sentiments from the Papertrey Ink All Booked Up set.

It was interesting to color on the green cardstock, the yellow didn't look yellow until it dried. I was a little afraid I'd have to toss it out! Thankfully both bookmarks turned out the way I had hoped and now I just have to decide which one to use first.  I just started The Silver Boat by Luanne Rice yesterday, what does everyone else have on their summer reading list?

I am also entering the following challenges:
Charisma Cards #27 - All About Flowers
Digi Doodle Shop #66 - Butterflies
Stampin' for the Weekend #12 - Wings and Things
Little Miss Muffet Challenges #13 - Anything But a Card

Thanks for fluttering by today!

Many Blessings to You!

Here is another card I made on Saturday ~ it is for a Fall Colors swap.

I mixed old and new on this card. I finally opened up a Hero Arts stamp set that I bought 2 years ago, a border punch I bought a year ago and the new is the paper (Imaginisce Apple Cider collection) from this month's Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit. It's hard to see but I embossed the background with my cuttlebug pumpkins folder.

I used another Taylored Expressions sketch~

and incorporated these challenges:

Treehouse Thursday #72 - Thankful

MelJen's #30 - Anything Goes

Daring Cardmakers - Autumn Leaves

Stamping for the Weekend #49 - Halloween/Fall

Challenge Me Sunday!

I'm finally feeling well enough to sit at my desk again, yay! However, my coloring skills need work after not using my copics much in the last 3 weeks.

I made this card for a few challenges ~ although I just realized I was too late for one of them, oops!

I finally inked up Jami from the Hearts & Hugs Series 2 Collection from Victoria Case for SCACD. All of the paper and embellishments are from the Pet's Place Project Pantry Kit from Taylored Expressions.

I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch ~
Other challenges:
Lollipop Crafts #3 - Pets (although it ended last night, sigh)
Craft Your Passion #19 - Anything Goes
Paper Cutz #55 - Anything Goes
Stampin for the Weekend #45 - Anything Goes
For Fun Challenges - recipe challenge (1 ribbon - paw print ribbon, 2 designer papers and 3 embellishments)

Off to grocery shop and then I'll be back at my desk to create for another challenge or two! TFL!
