Argh! ~ a Disney layout

Happy Tuesday!

Any Smash fans here?  It's one of my new favorite shows.  The finale was awesome but now I have to wait until mid-season next year for it to start again! Tonight is the finale for NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles. Looking forward to watching those with my hubby :)

Here is a layout I did at the NSD crop and it was my entry for Week #19 of the SNC 52 Week Challenge. I just love how this turned out. I had these papers and a package of buttons in my stash (possibly from a swap??) and I printed these pics to go with them.  Made up my own sketch and plopped the pics and buttons down and voila - a super fun page!  I giggled and giggled as I added the pirate button to my hubby's head LOL!

I added a fan page for my blog to facebook, if anyone would like to keep up with me that way :)
Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/ScrapColorReadRepeat  It's still in progress but I'm having fun with it!

Have a great day!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Here is a page I created yesterday.  I had lots of fun making it and even had some help from my hubby choosing the papers. October Afternoon has a fabulous collection called Sasparilla and the patterns are all so neat and I couldn't decide which ones to use!  Everything except the thickers that spell big are from the OA collection.  Abby chose the collection and the sketch for last week's SNC 24 Hour challenge but I ran out of time to get it done then and have been itching to make this page.

The picture is of the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at WDW.  I took this cool action shot from across the river while we were on Tom Sawyer's Island.  I have many other pictures of the railroad so eventually I will do a 2nd page.

This was the sketch that I used. It's from Liz Qualman's blog.

My first Disney layout!! {TPV Guest Designer Post!}

I'm so happy to announce that I am the Guest Designer at The Paper Variety this week!!  I found out when I was on the bus from the Magic Kingdom to our hotel at like 1 a.m. our first night there LOL! Riding the bus was my time to check in and see what was going on since we didn't have a good signal at the hotel.

When I got home and saw my assignment, I may have squealed a bit.  The sketch from Guest Aphra Boyler this week was PERFECT for my first Disney page. I think this is the fastest I have ever started scrapping a vacation.  I have had most of my supplies since we booked our trip back in March :) You can click {HERE} to see Aphra's sketch on the TPV blog as well as all the fantastic DT samples!

Here is my layout~

I saw the Four Parks - One World a lot while were were there. I think I even bought a deck of cards with it (I really need to unpack!!)  The picture of the castle isn't the best we have but it's the only one I could find that would fit with the rest.  All supplies are from the Queen & Company Disney line except for the Thickers and the tiny type letters.

If you play along with TPV this week, you can win this cool prize!

I am also linking my layout to the Disney/Pixar link up party at Crafty Chics!

I'm back!!!

I know most of you didn't even know I was gone LOL!

Mike and I left last Sunday for Walt Disney World to celebrate our belated honeymoon and 1st wedding anniversary. We stayed on WDW property at the Caribbean Beach Resort and really enjoyed our entire 6 days there, even though I caught a cold and haven't been feeling well since Wednesday.  I have tons of pictures to share but I need the energy to really sift through them all to organize and edit them.

Here's one pic from our character breakfast at the Animal Kingdom, this was our 2nd day there :)

I hope to get back on track with visiting and commenting soon! Thank you for all the comments on my projects this week :)

Look no stamping!

This is the card I made for my mom's birthday this year. A friend was able to get the Mickey Font cardtridge on clearance for me a few months ago and I finally broke it open to use for this card. My mom looooooves everything Goofy and she loved this card. This is my first time really piecing something together with the Cricut, it was a little trying but I think I'll do it again LOL!
