Birthday Sundaes Challenge #15

Happy Sunday!

Usually I schedule my posts but this time you are getting me live.  I got home a little while ago from a fantastic all day crop at the LSS. I met up with a great bunch of ladies from a yahoo group that I belong too.  I got 8 pages and 1 card done (that you will see on Tuesday!)  And I shopped for lots of new pretties - reinkers to attempt distress coloring on my images, Bo Bunny's Barefoot & Bliss Collection and Echo Park Paper's Country Drive Collection. Hoping to get in some playing time while I am on vacation this week!

Anywho, the reason for this post is it's time for another Birthday Sundaes Challenge! We'd like to see your birthday cards with Stars AND Stripes on them, as well as a birthday greeting/ sentiment/wording on your card front.  Click HERE to enter your creations and to see the rest of the Design Team's take on this challenge.

I was inspired by this sketch from Eat, Sleep, Stamp for my card.

I decided to use 3 stars instead of one since there are so many cool patterned stars in the Papertrey Ink's Star Prints stamp set.  The sentiment is from a Verve stamp set.

I think looks like it would be a fun card for a teen girl, still girly but not too cutesy.

Supply List~
Stamps: Star Prints by Papertrey Ink, sentiment from a Verve stamp set
Paper: PTI Raspberry Fizz, misc. orange cardstock, DCWV scraps
Ink: Memento (note - let the images dry before cutting them out lol!)
Other: Recollections star bling, mini pop dots

TFL!

May LOAD - Day 3

Here is today's page!

It's not the best picture of our little reindeer but by the time I figured out the best camera setting we weren't going to dress Amber up again, she wasn't fond of the antlers LOL. She didn't mind the dress at all :)

I used a card sketch from Eat Sleep Stamp for the layout~

Thanks for looking!

PaperCutz #79

TGIF!

It's time for another PaperCutz challenge! This time we are challenging you to create a child's birthday card with a country or western theme. You can enter your creation HERE and check out the rest of the DT's creations while you are there.

I decided to ink up Taylor from the Victoria Case for SCACD collection. This card is geared more towards a teen than a child but I really LOVE how it came out!! I really took my time with coloring and think she looks great.

The fabulous layout is from last week's Sketchy Thursday at Eat Sleep Stamp. I flipped it to accommodate my image.

Supplies-
Stamps: Taylor (Victoria Case for SCACD), Birthday Greetings (Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps)
Paper: Basic Grey Granola, Georgia Pacific cardstock
Ink: Memento
Copics: E00, E30, E31, E35, E39, R20, R29, B21, B23, B97, B99

Happy Birthday to You!

A quick share for tonight...

I made this card for my brother-in-law whose birthday is today. I used the Party Hat Wishes set by Ippity and the paper is Basic Grey Oliver. I still love to make birthday cards and have a few more to post this week!

I used ESS114 for the layout, love Tracy's sketches!

TFL! I'll be back in the morning with a new Flutter By Wednesday challenge!

Christmas with 2 patterned papers!

Today's PaperCutz challenge is to create a Christmas card, project or layout using 2 kinds of patterned papers.

For my card, I cut into my Basic Grey Jovial pad and used one of the coordinating woolies! Fun, fast & easy card using an equally fun sketch that I found - ESS #110. Love Tracy's sketches and I don't get to use them often enough! I also finally used the Martha Stewart snowflake punch that my DH got me for my birthday in August. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts holiday sayings set.

The first challenge is an easy one..."Anything Goes Birthday", just make sure to include a birthday greeting/sentiment on the card front.

My card is very CAS...it was for my little cousin's 3rd birthday the other day. I decided to keep it flat and just keep the focus on the monkeys. The layout is from Eat Sleep Stamp - ESS#83.

Stamps: Changito B-day ~ Stampendous
Paper: PTI Stampers Select White, Basic Grey Cupcake
Ink: Memento
Copics: R46, YG95, E25, E27

It's Release Day at Squigglefly!

My sneak peek has turned into release day LOL!

This pretty image is Vintage Flower Maiden and was drawn by Rich Davis for Squigglefly. I'll admit it is very out of my comfort zone, so I hope I did her justice.

I was unpacking some boxes and came across this paper and thought it would look pretty with the maiden, and I broke out the Bazzill! I've had this 8x8 package of cardstock for many, many years. The layout is ESS77 from Eat Sleep & Stamp. I also got to use my new EK Success leaf punch, a few friends have them and I loved the look with flowers, so I had to get one too!

Card Supplies
Stamp: Vintage Flower Maiden ~ Squigglefly
Paper: Bazzill, DCWV
Copics: E00, YR24, YR65, R43, BG96
Other: prima flower, SU eyelet border punch, EK Success medium leaf punch, EK Success corner punch, Queen & Co pearls, zig 2 way glue pen

Now run over to Squigglefly and see what's new, I spied a Shy Bear!

A Daffodil for You

This is a quick card I created last week using one of the new flowers drawn by Lynne Stansbery for Squigglefly. Daffodils are such a pretty flower and I already have some blooming in my yard :o)

You can check out the Eat Sleep Stamp sketch that I used HERE.

Some Squigglefly news:

The new challenge was posted yesterday, use buttons with your Squigglefly creation! Click HERE to check it out!

And the big news! A whole new very cool line of stamps is being released this Saturday called Inside Outs and they will include images and sentiments for both the inside and outside of your card. How cool of a concept is that?? You can check out the news on the blog HERE (also see how you can WIN a set!!) and see this neat card that Holly posted yesterday HERE. Also be sure to watch the DT links on my left sidebar since some of the team will be posting sneak peeks this week.

Have a great day!!!

Squigglefly Challenge #40

Good morning!

It's time for another Squigglefly challenge. The challenge is to use "shiny things" with our Squigglefly images.

I love how my card turned out! So pretty and springy! This gorgeous flower was drawn by Lynne Stansbery, and it's from a set of 4 flowers. For my shiny things, I used glossy accents on the middles of the flowers, a gemstone and some shiny ribbon I found in my stash. I was so happy to use this paper too, it's from deep in that stash of mine.

The sketch is from Eat, Sleep, Stamp ~

If you'd like to play along (and have a chance for a prize!), please link your shiny things creation using Squigglefly images to the Squigglefly blog.

For more inspiration, please check out the other DT members' blogs, links are on my left sidebar.

Have a great day!

You Take the Cake!

Well, my snow day is just about over. I did enjoy my day though :)

Final tally: 4 cards and 1 ATC

I realized I needed a birthday card to mail out tomorrow so I put this one together rather quickly. I've had this stamp for a few years now and it's the first time I'm putting it on a card (that I can recall anyways LOL!)

I used last week's Eat Sleep Stamp sketch -

Time to call it a night! I'll be back tomorrow night with another card or two to share :)

My card for FBW #87

Here is my card for FBW...finally!

I was able to start it last night and finish it this morning. The days and nights here are just flying by, but I have to say my house is finally looking better so I am much happier!

Initially when I was going to make my winter card, I thought of using Nora from C.C. Designs, but then I saw Danni's card and changed my mind lol...I had the same thoughts winter and blue. I challenged myself to go out my box for this card.

I found this fun paper by DCWV in my stash of stuff that's pulled out for Christmas cards...and an idea was born. Let's make Sparkle Fairy from Paper Makeup Stamps into a winter fairy :) I had such fun coloring her in pink, I love how she came out. Instead of Stickles, I decided to dust off my Shimmerz and paint her wings, hairbow, wand and the cuttlebug piece with it. Since I can't find my swiss dots or snowflake folder, I thought the D'Vine swirl could represent snow swirling lol

I used Tracy's ESS #64 layout for this week, it worked out perfect for what I had in mind!

There's still time to play along, just link your winter card using a butterfly, fairy or angel to Danni's blog and be sure to come back and check out Wednesday's fun challenge!

By the way, have you checked out our new home for challenges starting in January? No, well then get over there - Flutter By Wednesdays!

Gotta get back to my chore list! Thanks for stopping by!
