PTT #3

Are you ready to party?

This week's Party Time Tuesdays challenge is "Anything Goes Birthday", just remember to have a birthday greeting/sentiment on the front of your card.

Here is my card~

I made it for Mike's birthday yesterday...really not crazy about it, but he liked it :) The layout of the card is Unscripted Sketches #58. I think next time I use this set (Tech Talk by Gina K Designs), I will have to chalk or sponge the laptop 'screen' to give it a little "oomph".

For more inspiration and to play along, please check out the Party Time Tuesdays blog!

Happy Valentine's Day x 12!!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are enjoying your day :) My sweetie is making me dinner tonight and we having a nice day together here at home.

This is the card I made for him -

When I saw the Tech Talk set by Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K Designs, I just knew I had to get it so I can make my techy guy cards with it. I stamped the laptop on paper from the Basic Grey Ambrosia paper pad and I stamped the 'happy vday' using letters from the Multi Retro My Sentiments Exactly set and the happy face is from the Tech Talk set. I found the cool ribbon at Michaels on clearance last night...yes, I waited til late last night to make my card, typical me!!

The layout is this week's sketch at Our Creative Corner -

This card is also for the following challenges:

You're Cool Beans

This is the card that I created for my stepdad for Father's Day. I was having a hard time until I saw this sketch last Sunday morning - yes I know, nothing like waiting til the last minute!!

This is SSSC23 from The Sweetest Thing blog. I immediately thought of Gina K's My Cuppa' Joe set when I saw the squares, except I envisioned circles with the coffee cups.

I can't believe I made a card with NO patterned paper! That does not happen often at all! I thought the strip in the middle would be great run through the Cuttlebug and I was right.

Here's a glimpse of the inside. I couldn't find my sentiment stamps so I used Changito Coffee to spruce it up.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a good weekend. I hope to get lots of cards made at some point. If not, I still have a few to share from last weekend.

The Recipe:
Stamps: My Cuppa' Joe ~ Gina K. Designs, Stampendous
Paper: GP, PTI Kraft, Dark Chocolate & Spring Rain
Ink: Rich Cocoa ~ Memento, Copics ~ E55, E57 & B21
Accessories: argyle embossing folder, CM circle punch, misc. buttons

Celebrate with Changito!

I participate in a Card of the Week swap on one of my yahoo groups. This month's theme is "Man" cards. I don't think I'm all that great at masculine cards, so I figured this would be a good challenge. I used Sketch #228 from SCS.

This is Changito celebrating the weekend LOL!

The Recipe:
Stamps: Changito Coffee ~ Stampendous, Say It in Style ~ CTMH, My Cuppa' Joe ~ Gina K. Designs
Paper: GP, Paper Company, Papertrey Ink, CTMH
Ink: Tuxedo Black & Rich Cocoa ~ Memento, Copics ~ E11, E33, E37, B02
Accessories: ticket corner punch ~ Stampin Up

Thanks for stopping by! Hope your week is off to a good start!

My Time to Craft Challenge #49: Pink & Brown

When I came across this Pink & Brown challenge on My Time to Craft on Saturday, how could I not do it? Its my all time favorite color combination. I used another Jen del Muro sketch, this one from last month.

I created this card for a button & bows swap using the Gina K "my cuppa' joe" stamp set. It seemed perfect to use with the circle theme on the card. The circles were inked with SU Creamy Caramel. I used Basic Grey Sugared dp and the yummy double-sided ribbon is from American Crafts. I've had to restock this ribbon a few times as I love to use it!

The Recipe:
Stamps: "my cuppa' joe" ~ Gina K. Designs
Paper: Georgia Pacific, Sugared ~ Basic Grey
Ink: Rich Cocoa ~ Memento, Creamy Caramel ~ Stampin Up, Copics (R20, E25, E57, RV11)
Accessories: circle punch ~ Creative Memories, ribbon ~ American Crafts, Frosted Lace Stickles, Scrappers Floss ~ Karen Foster

Happy Monday and thanks for looking!
