A Hop for the kickoff of Lasting Memories!

Good morning and Happy 4th of July!

Welcome to the Lasting Memories blog hop! You should have arrived here from Kelli's blog, if not please start back at the beginning HERE.

The first challenge is to create a layout using red, white & blue theme. Be sure to leave comments on each stop during your hop because there is blog candy hidden along the way - to be eligible, you must enter your red, white & blue layout on the Lasting Memories blog, in addition to leaving the comments.

Here is my creation ~

I had such a fun time putting this layout together. I drew a sketch of what I wanted to do the other day and was so pleased that it turned out just the way I envisioned! The large star was cut from the Cricut (George & Basic Shapes cartridge) and the 'firecrackers' were embossed with the Cuttlebug stars embossing folder. The 'New Haven' was cut from the Cuttin' Up cricut cartridge.

Your next stop on the hop is Mandy! I hope you all enjoy the wonderful creations that the team has come up with, I'm excited to see them too!

I'll be back later with a patriotic card and then another Christmas card!

Other challenges entered:
The Cuttlebug Spot - Celebrate Independence Day
For Fun Challenges - card or project showing your country's spirit
Paper Cutz #48 - 4th of July

Christmas in July Day 3

Here is today's card, still no coloring LOL! This is probably the longest time I've gone without using my copics!

I dug through my extensive stash of Christmas embellishments and found these neat 3d stickers from Me & My Big Ideas, they were a perfect fit for sketch SC285.

Here is the sketch~

I am entering this card in the Fussy & Fancy Christmas in July challenge.

Card Supplies~
Stamps: Inkadinkadoo
Paper: Basic Grey Wassail
Ink: Memento
Other: MAMBI stickers

TFL! Come back in the morning for Lasting Memories' first challenge!

Christmas in July Day 2

A super simple card for today! It's been a fun, but long day here. We went to visit my nieces (ages 2 yrs. and 2 months), lots of pics were taken to scrap! I also went to an LSS up near them that I don't go to often and found some fun paper for our home renovation album.

I saw this sketch last week on Clean & Simple and decided to use it for today's card.

Here's my take~

I used more of the Wassail BG pad that's still out on my desk, inked the edges with Memento Rhubarb Stalk and stamped the sentiment (Amuse) with it also.

Tomorrow is another fun day, I get to go pick up my wedding dress! I'll keep it for about a month before bringing it back for alterations, after that I will be making cupcakes and scrapping!

TFL!

Christmas in July Day #1

So it's a little past midnight but since I started this on the 1st, it's my Day #1 card LOL

I got home way late from a friend's so I quickly put this together, not my favorite card ever, but it's a Christmas card for my very small pile that I started earlier in the year (2, I think). I used the pretty flowery paper from the Basic Grey Wassail pad and embossed one of the plain sheets from the stack, added a sentiment and some brads and it's done! I think I may change the plain brads for snowflake brads, if I ever find them!

TFL and I'll be back later today with another post!

Delovely Retro Tulips

Here's a quick card I created last night. When I saw this week's Squigglefly challenge, I knew I had to enter, I just love tulips and these Retro Tulips are no exception.

I decided to cut into my Delovely stack and enter this week's Color Me Delovely challenge at A Crafty Little Place and also enter the Let's Go Digital challenge at Crafty Catz.

I used SC283 for my layout.

That's all for now...need to get ready for work and then tomorrow starts my 4 day weekend, woohoo!
