Stylish Tilda

Stylish Tilda is one of the few non-holiday/birthdays Magnolia stamps that I own. When I joined the Magnolia "raining" cards group, I knew that I wanted to use this stamp first. The sketch is another one from the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Anniversay Challenge - you can see it HERE.

I had a lot of fun with all the layers and the mixing up of the patchwork squares. I used the new Me and My Big Ideas Fashion District paper. Another 50% off Michaels special! And you guessed it...more copics! I used E33, R11, B93, B95, Y000, E11, R00, E25 and Y32. I also used the colorless blender, a pink prismacolor pencil since I didn't have the right color copic and the Ranger Inkessentials white pen. The green and brown cardstock is from Close to My Heart, sweet leaf and chocolate. Not sure where the blue is from and I stamped on the Georgia Pacific cardstock.

Thanks for looking!

Cuppacakeabella

This is a card that I made a few weeks ago for my coworker's girlfriend's birthday. Cuppacakeabella was one of the first bellas that I bought last year and she's one of my favorites! I used THIS sketch from Ana Wohlfarht's blog Inkastamp for the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Anniversary Challenge. It was a standard card sketch but I turned mine into a square and went a little crazy with layers and embellishments since it wasn't going to be at the mercy of the USPS.

I went with the new Making Memories Sabrina 6x6 stack for this card, isn't it pretty? I also got the 12x12 version - couldn't go wrong with a 50% off sale. The "celebrate" is from the CTMH Say it in Style set. I love the versatility of that word set, I use it all the time! The rhinestone is from a pack of Darice Finishing Touches rhinestones that I picked up at Michaels....clearance price $0.40, you better believe that I bought all I could get my hands on!

I used my copics to color the stamp in. The picture (taken with my old camera) is too horrible to post, so I'll spare your eyes and just list the colors: 100, R00, R20, Y000 & Y32. I also used the copic spica clear pen and my gelly roll stardust pen to make it sparkle.

I've got a few more shares tonight to stay tuned!

Card Sketch #81

Tonight after stamping a bunch of images, I decided to take one and whip up a card. I found this cute sketch on the Sketches by Tamara blog today and it worked perfectly with the ladybug Fluffles.

The embellishments are all Making Memories. I got them on sale at Crazy Scraps during their big clearance sale a few weeks ago. They match my Basic Grey Sultry paper just great!

And of course, I just had to use the copics again LOL!

The Recipe:
Stamps: Ladybug Fluffles (Stampendous)
Paper: Georgia Pacific, Basic Grey Sultry
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Accessories: Copics, Making Memories Lemonade Blossoms & Rouge Paperie

I also redesigned the blog a bit. I tried to balance out all the stuff I have on here, let me know what you think!

Flower Fluffles

This card covers 2 challenges that I recently found on The Daily Dare. What a cool blog, they round up each daily challenge and post them each day. Sure makes the searching easier on me!

I used Flower Fluffles by Stampendous on a sketch from CCEE Stampers, it was a pretty simple sketch which allowed my image to shine through. I also used this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge to use hearts or flowers, since I had already selected the flower stamp, it made this challenge easy!

I dug out my Basic Grey 6x6 pads and selected the Euphoria stack to create with and of course, my copics to color. I swear I will use my pencils again, I'm sure they are lonely! I just can't resist using the markers when they match what I'm working on :D Both my copic clear spica pen and my gelly roll stardust pen provided the right amount of sparkle.

As always, thanks for looking and commenting. I appreciate it!

Uptown Girl

Another old uninked stamp finally used! I've had this Uptown Girl set from Close to My Heart for a few years now, sadly I've ignored it. I joined a There She Goes swap on one of my card groups and thought this little lady and her dog would be a good image to use. I used Taylor's Cupcake Sketch - TECC53 for the card.

The Recipe:
Stamps: Uptown Girl - B1155 (CTMH)
Paper: Georgia Pacific, Paper Company, Bittersweet by Basic Grey
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Accessories: copics (R00, R20, E33), prima flowers

A Snow Friends Valentine

After I posted my Snow Friends card the other day, a friend suggested that the image would be great for a wintery valentine. Since I had a valentine swap to work on, I incorporated that thought into my "vision". I am soooo happy with how this came out. I used Sweet N Sassy's Sketch #2 over at Paper Craft Planet for the card, I had to flip it to make it work for what I had in mind.

Making this card was a serious comedy of errors today, first I couldn't find the valentine ribbon. Then it took forever to dig out the paper. Then I wanted to use my cuttlebug snowflakers folder and its MIA. I decide to stamp snowflakes instead, it was much easier than to keep digging for things! Finally, the whole card came together and I can move onto something else. Of course I must clean the desk first since it looks like it snowed from the fun flock! The other high point of this card is the picture is so good! I went to Circuit City yesterday and finally splurged on a new camera (Panasonic TZ5) that I've been eyeing, now it won't take me forever to get that one good shot of a card to post!

The Recipe:
Stamps: Snow Friends (Sweet N Sassy Stamps)
Paper: Georgia Pacific, Sweet Blush (PTI), Pure Poppy (PTI)
Ink: Sweet Blush (PTI), Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Accessories: copics, Black Diamond stickles, Fun Flock (Stampendous), heart punches (EK Success & Marvy Uchida), ribbon (from my stash), quickie glue pen
