Flower Fluffles

This card covers 2 challenges that I recently found on The Daily Dare. What a cool blog, they round up each daily challenge and post them each day. Sure makes the searching easier on me!

I used Flower Fluffles by Stampendous on a sketch from CCEE Stampers, it was a pretty simple sketch which allowed my image to shine through. I also used this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge to use hearts or flowers, since I had already selected the flower stamp, it made this challenge easy!

I dug out my Basic Grey 6x6 pads and selected the Euphoria stack to create with and of course, my copics to color. I swear I will use my pencils again, I'm sure they are lonely! I just can't resist using the markers when they match what I'm working on :D Both my copic clear spica pen and my gelly roll stardust pen provided the right amount of sparkle.

As always, thanks for looking and commenting. I appreciate it!

Uptown Girl

Another old uninked stamp finally used! I've had this Uptown Girl set from Close to My Heart for a few years now, sadly I've ignored it. I joined a There She Goes swap on one of my card groups and thought this little lady and her dog would be a good image to use. I used Taylor's Cupcake Sketch - TECC53 for the card.

The Recipe:
Stamps: Uptown Girl - B1155 (CTMH)
Paper: Georgia Pacific, Paper Company, Bittersweet by Basic Grey
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Accessories: copics (R00, R20, E33), prima flowers

A Snow Friends Valentine

After I posted my Snow Friends card the other day, a friend suggested that the image would be great for a wintery valentine. Since I had a valentine swap to work on, I incorporated that thought into my "vision". I am soooo happy with how this came out. I used Sweet N Sassy's Sketch #2 over at Paper Craft Planet for the card, I had to flip it to make it work for what I had in mind.

Making this card was a serious comedy of errors today, first I couldn't find the valentine ribbon. Then it took forever to dig out the paper. Then I wanted to use my cuttlebug snowflakers folder and its MIA. I decide to stamp snowflakes instead, it was much easier than to keep digging for things! Finally, the whole card came together and I can move onto something else. Of course I must clean the desk first since it looks like it snowed from the fun flock! The other high point of this card is the picture is so good! I went to Circuit City yesterday and finally splurged on a new camera (Panasonic TZ5) that I've been eyeing, now it won't take me forever to get that one good shot of a card to post!

The Recipe:
Stamps: Snow Friends (Sweet N Sassy Stamps)
Paper: Georgia Pacific, Sweet Blush (PTI), Pure Poppy (PTI)
Ink: Sweet Blush (PTI), Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Accessories: copics, Black Diamond stickles, Fun Flock (Stampendous), heart punches (EK Success & Marvy Uchida), ribbon (from my stash), quickie glue pen

Balloonabella X2!

The same stamp....two cards.

The first card was for a Black/White swap. I think it turned out pretty darn cute! Trying to stick to 2 colors wasn't as easy as I thought it would be LOL! I wasn't happy with it as I was making it but when it was finally done, I was very pleased. I used THIS sketch from Card Positioning Systems - great card sketch blog!

Copics used...so much easier to take a pic than to make a list that I end up losing LOL!!The Recipe:
Stamps ~ Balloonabella (Stamping Bella)
Paper~ Georgia Pacific, DCWV, CTMH
Ink ~ Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Accessories ~ Copics, clear spica pen, threading water punch (Fiskars), stickles, Blooms & Dots folder (Cuttlebug), prima flower

The second card is for a sketch challenge on one of my yahoo groups. We used a sketch from Jen Del Muro's blog - I{heart}2 Stamp. One of my favorites to follow each week! For this card, I used very old paper from Provocraft. Its time to stop the hoarding! I really love the soft pretty colors of this card.

The Recipe:
Stamps ~ Balloonabella (Stamping Bella)
Paper~ Georgia Pacific, Provocraft
Ink ~ Tuxedo Black (Memento), purple from SU - don't remember the name!
Accessories ~ Copics, prima flowers, clear spica pen, brad (American Crafts)

I think the next time I use this bella, I'm going to try paper piecing her dress!

Today I'm sharing a card I created over the weekend for a Winter swap. The sketch is TECC52SH, a part of Taylor's A Year of Cupcake Challenges. I also accomplished a challenge from my friend Danni to use an uninked stamp. I've had this set Snow Friends from Sweet N Sassy Stamps for over a year now and I finally used it, now I'm thinking what the heck took me so long? Its so adorable and I can't wait to use it again!

Stamps: Snow Friends (Sweet N Sassy Stamps)
Paper: Georgia Pacific, DCWV
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Bashful Blue (Stampin Up)
Accessories: Christmas Snowflakes (Marcella by K), Border Snowflake punch (EK Success), ribbon (American Crafts), prismacolor pencils, clear copic spica pen, Stardust stickles

Thanks for looking! I hope you're all staying warm!

A is for...

One card...two purposes. This card was created for a swap A is for ___. So I chose apple, not very imaginative LOL, but it does use a poorly neglected Stampin Up set called Give Thanks. I also used just scraps on this card, yay! The sketch was for Taylor's Year of Cupcake Challenges - TECC52JP, which you can see HERE.

The Cricut George cartridge was used to cut the circles and ovals. I used my new copic markers to color in the apples and my Stampin Up watercolor crayons for the pail. I'm trying not to neglect my old coloring methods, just because I've fallen hook, line & sinker for my new markers LOL!
Stamps: Give Thanks (Stampin Up), Say It In Style (CTMH)
Paper: Georgia Pacific, DCWV, Bazzill
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Ladybug (Memento)
Accessories: copics, watercolor crayons (Stampin Up), brads (American Crafts), George cartridge (Cricut)

TFL! I have more to share but must save it for another night.
