Be Mine

My first card of the day is using Be Mine Cocoa from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps. Isn't he adorable? I won him as blog candy on Sandy's blog and couldn't wait to use him.

It's um...rather pink, I like pink and all, but I think it might be a bit overboard LOL! I used this week's Sweet Stop Sketch and flipped it so that the dp went the right way. I added some fun flock to Cocoa's nose and the heart of the envelope. So glad I found these mini heart brads in my stash to use! That's 20 brads in 2 cards...only 20,000 brads to finish using up! {giggle}

Here is the sketch -

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Be Mine Cocoa ~ Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps, Love of My Life ~ CTMH
Paper: DCWV, PTI Raspberry Fizz, Paper Co.
Ink: Memento
Copics: E41, T3, RV11, RV14
Accessories: Marvy Circle & Scallop Circle punches, think pink fun flock, zig 2 way glue pen, ribbon, flowers & brads from my stash

Thanks for looking! I'll be back later with more creations :)

Happy 2010!

I have 3 cards to show you using Toby New Year from The Greeting Farm. I think he is just too cute! I wanted to show all three on the same post so you can see how one stamp can be used multiple ways. To keep the post a little shorter, I have provided links to the sketches used instead of showing them as I usually do.

First up is the one I created today -

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Clearly iStamp - Let's get Bradilicious
If the Shoe Fits Fashionista Friday #16 - 10 of one embellishment

I'm not sure I ever used so many brads at once! For the ribbon I just used glue dots and folded it in half and then attached the flower on top.

The layout is TESC95.

Card #2 was created yesterday -

I used Sketch #5 from the Anyone for Anya blog.

Last, but not least, the 3rd card was created New Year's Eve -

I used Sketch #12 from The Pink Elephant challenge blog. It was fun to make a long card and wow, look at that fiber - dug waaaaaaaaaaaay out of my stash!

The New Year's paper used on all the cards is from Treehouse Designs - bought at an LSS who knows when LOL! I found it when I was unpacking last weekend!

I used a lot of different products to make these, if you have any specific questions email me or leave them in the comments section!

Thanks so much for looking :)

Sweet Melissa

Happy Weekend!!

This is Sweet Melissa, one of the new releases over at Squigglefly today. Have you seen the newest stamps - wow, there are so many must haves for me!

I love how this card turned out!! I accomplished a few things with it that are on 'my list' to do this year - old paper -check!, threading ribbon through a button - check! Although that part was quite difficult to do, does anyone have any pointers? I love the look it gives, it's just not easy for me to do lol!

I used this week's Mojo Monday layout for the card. I got to use my new Labels 8 nesties for the layers :)

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Sweet Melissa ~ Squigglefly, Thinking of You ~ Hero Arts
Paper: Provocraft, Paper Co.
Ink: SU Bashful Blue, SU Lavender Lace
Copics: BV000, BV01, ROO, Y15, N7, R29, V17, YG63, YG67, E55, E57
Accessories: Marvy Xtra Giga Oval Punch, Labels 8 Nestabilities, ribbon ~ Michaels, flower & button from stash

Thanks for looking!

Scraproom Pictures!

*2nd post of the day - scroll down to see my big news!*

Here are pictures of my scraproom, as promised!

Here is the ribbon wall. Pink containers have stamps, wooden box has small embellishments, glitter, bling and some small memorabilia ready to be scrapped. Shelves have 8.5x11 cardstock, Basic Grey pads and misc stuff.

Closet is waiting for shelves to store paper. Tower has excess ribbon, buttons plus tools, alterable items and some themed embellishments that don't have a permanent home. On this wall here, I hope to eventually put one of the creative wall sayings from Uppercase Living.

Buttons, ribbons and flowers stored by color. Stamps by theme - seasonal, words/sentiments, Valentines, Winter and unmounted in the green containers. Tall case has CTMH stamps, TAC stamps and any other stamps that are in a flat package. And trust me, all the empty jars will be filled soon, just haven't had the time to finish unpacking!

Countertop holds printer, Cricut and when its clean...room for the Cuttlebug or to scrap.
Bins have embellishments stored by season and theme. Cricut cartridges are on the shelves below the Cricut. On my table I added small baskets with paper and stamps that I want to make use of sooner rather than later. I hope to switch them out every few months!

I'll have to add more pictures as things get done...still waiting for shelves to my desk for stamps, I want to put the seasonal stuff within reach and to have something to look at :)

Thanks for touring my room with me!

Happy 2010!!!

It's a new year...new decade...time for some new goals and an announcement!!

Check out this announcement on Squigglefly: http://squigglefly.blogspot.com/2010/01/2010-design-team.html

I made the team for January 1, 2010-June 30, 2010! I am so very excited to be working with the fabulous assortment that Squigglefly provides with their awesome weekly releases. I'll be back later with a card!

Here's a few of my 2010 Goals - I'm keeping the creative amounts the same, couldn't meet it last year because life had other things in store for me, so I'll try again to meet and/or beat them this year!
  • Do something creative EVERY day!
  • Blog at least 20 days out of every month.
  • Make 300 cards
  • Scrap 150 layouts
  • Hopefully scrap at least 400 photos!
  • Get published in an online gallery or magazine
  • Unpack from a crop within 3 days, this is a biggie!! (I unpacked stuff from crops 1-2 years ago just last week!!)
  • Do NOT buy paper unless its for a specific project and absolutely nothing else works!
  • Try a new technique once a month.
  • Start Christmas cards/gifts much earlier!
  • and not scrappy but read 65 books this year. Last year's goal was 50 and I read 52!
Wishing you all a fabulous 2010!
