Flutter By Wednesday #99

Only one more week until 100 weeks of Flutter By Wednesdays! How amazing is that???

Today we are bringing you an inspiration challenge. Please use this picture as inspiration for your creation and be sure to include a butterfly, fairy, or angel!

I have to admit that I was a little intimidated when Danni sent this picture...I don't usually do well with these types of challenges, but then I remembered I have Fairy Chloe from The Greeting Farm and I thought she'd be perfect, especially using this week's Mojo Monday layout.

The Mojo Sketch ~
So if you'd like to play along with FBW, link your creation to Mr. Linky on the Flutter By Wednesday blog and while you are there, check out the rest of the team's creations. Links are also on my left sidebar.

Saturday Spotlight #20

So when I saw this Saturday Spotlight challenge "Clean It Up" - make a clean & simple card....ack, really??? I think I make simple cards but they tend to have lots of busy paper which makes them look less simple (if that makes any sense at all LOL!!!)

I've been wanting to try last week's Clean & Simple Fall to Layout #79 and thought both challenges together would work out well and I was right!

I made this card last night to send to one of my cousins that had a baby boy last week. The adorable image is from my friend Terry.

Here is the layout ~

Card Supplies
Stamps: House Mouse, Inkadinkadoo
Paper: DCWV, misc. cardstock
Ink: Memento
Copics: B21, B23, R81, E00, T1, T3
Other: Marvy punch, Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder

Recipes Somethings @ Stamp Something

I needed to make a male birthday card so I pulled out this cool image from my friend Terry. I decided to use SC269 and thought I would incorporate this week's Stamp Something Challenge - Recipe Somethings (designer paper, buttons & ribbon).

It's a little busy, but I like it! The paper is Basic Grey Archaic.

Here is the sketch ~

Squigglefly Challenge #38

It's time for another Squigglefly challenge!

Today Maria challenged our team to use fun borders - either border punches or create our own fancy edging.

Can you tell I'm ready for spring?? LOL! This is Gentle Friends by Cheryl Alger. I used my Marvy Extra Giga punch for the image and my Stampin Up Eyelet Border Punch for my edging. Since the paper was busy, I didn't want to over embellish so I just added a few mini dew drops to the top border.

Card Supplies
Stamps: Gentle Friends ~ Squigglefly
Paper: Basic Grey Sultry
Copics: E00, E33, E35, E37, R29, RV11, RV34, Y35
Other: SU Eyelet Border punch, Marvy Extra Giga scalloped circle punch, robin's nest mini dew drops

If you'd like to play along (you can even win a prize!!), create a card/project using a Squigglefly image and a fun border and then link it up to the Squigglefly blog. For more inspiration, check out my fellow DT members on the left sidebar.

Happy Monday!
