June Artwork

Here are a bunch of cards I made this month! TFL!

Its a bird, its a plane...no its Superbella!

This card was for a sketch challenge...finally used this Hero Arts flower stamp that I've had for years.

I picked up this tin for $2 at Michaels. I altered it for a Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps altered tin contest. I am using it to store all the images that I've been trading with friends. Its nice to have them all in one place instead of a bunch of envelopes all over the place!

Here is Walkabella for a blue/brown card swap. I used Waxy Flax to tie on the buttons. Haven't used it in forever, its usually much easier and quicker to stick them on with a glue dot!

Here is Lemon Lips by House Mouse. Its one of my favorites. I got these images from Sandy and I just loved it so much that I had to get the stamp for myself. I used Glossy Accents on the ice cubes, needed to give it a little extra something.

Another Walkabella. This one was for a brown/black card swap. I just love bellas, in case it hasn't been noticed!

My first Cakeabella! I used it for a sketch challenge and sent it to my friend Linda for her birthday :)
Another day, another sketch challenge. I also used it for a Favorite Flower swap. The set is Bee Happy from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.

This is one of my favorite cards! My favorite color - pink! Fun paper from DCWV. Stickles...what could be better?

And finally...a card for a Frog swap. Sketch is all my own! Finally used the Designer Label punch from Stampin Up. Its hard to find things to stamp in it.

Will Work for Stamps...

I altered this clipboard at a friend's yesterday. I got it as a Secret Santa gift from my friend, Maria. Thanks Maria!

Its not quite done yet. I still need to color the Stamping Bella in and then list my Top 5 favorite companies. I haven't finalized them yet so it hangs waiting for me to finish. I also altered a lunch box for my bellas, but I haven't finished coloring it yet and forgot to take a picture to post.

Have a happy scrappy day!

Welcome to the world Grace Elizabeth!

My niece, Grace Elizabeth, was born into this wonderful world this morning. Isn't she precious?! She is such a doll and I can't wait to watch her grow up. She is already adored by her two older siblings and parents.

Here is the card I made for her parents. I just love House Mouse stamps. Thanks to Terry for this cute image!

Block Island Birthday!

Today Mike and I took the ferry from New London over to Block Island, RI for the day. It was my first time there. Lots and lots of walking. Little shops to peruse. Many eateries. We ate at a pub for lunch and went to a cheesecake place for lunch. It was to die for...but sadly I forgot to take a picture of it before I ate it. The above picture is the Statue of Rebecca. Below are some scenery shots.

Here is the fella card I made for Mike:
Happy birthday baby!

Back from the City of Brotherly Love!

Mike and I went to Philly for a mini vacation - our first one :) We took the train which was so nice. Relaxed and read a book on the way there and another on the way home. It was a whirlwind trip of the city but I think we saw almost everything and walked at least half of it.

On Friday, we went to the Eastern State Penitentiary. Al Capone was in jail there. It was very cool and creepy. We also saw the Museum of Art, got a lot of great pictures of everything around there. Here are a few pics of the jail and then one of the city taken from the steps of the Art Museum.

On Saturday, we went to the Philly Zoo which was a lot of fun. Again tons of pictures, lots of cool animals. Here is a goofy pic of Mike and I with a giraffe in the background.

On Sunday, we went to Love Park, Franklin Square and Logan Square. Oh and we went to the Liberty Bell, the Betsy Ross House and some other historical stuff. Here is one side of a really cool sandcastle in Franklin Square.
Here is a pic of Mike in another plaza - I forget the name. It was so neat though. There were large game pieces everywhere. Dominoes, monopoly pieces, sorry pieces and chess pieces.
Here we are at Love Park :)

Nice shot of an important building (i think...) Couldn't get close enough to see a name of what it was and a cop was shooing everyone away.

Its so hard to remember it all now! We didn't get to have a real Philly cheesesteak though, all the good places close at 6 pm! All in all, we had a great time together :) Now to edit and choose which pics to print and scrap...between the 2 of us we took almost 800 pics. Think we like taking pics or what?

Its C&C time!

What does C&C stand for?

Well tonight it means Clean & Create. Last weekend I cleared out my old computer desk and bought a tv stand and some organizing containers at IKEA. Its only the beginning as I need to alter some of the boxes and also need to buy a few more since there are still more stamps that don't have a home. But here is what it looks like so far!

I also plan to take that basket off and decorate the wall space with some altered art. It will take some time though since I need to create lots of stuff for swaps this weekend.

Tomorrow C&C stands for Color & Cut - still deciding what I want to do with it this time...I change my mind every time before I go and then change it again when I get there. So only time will tell as to what it will look like.

I'll close this post with my latest creation. I have a lot of things I've made in between the last post of creations and this but this is my new favorite. I have fallen head of heels for House Mouse - so much so that they have their own mouse house in one of the pink containers in the above picture LOL

Paper: DCWV
Stamps: House Mouse, Bee is from Bee Happy at www.sweetnsassystamps.com and the Happy Birthday is from a CTMH set.
Prismas pencils were used to color the image in. Love them!

TGIF!
